okay, it's very inconsistent
i reopened the game this time and it went away, but it's not like i just restarted the game, i went off of it for like a good 15 minutes and came back

If you send me your player.log from a session where this happens I can check what is happening. But this does sound like there is some kind of temporary connection issue to EOS.
