I think that already works. Kicks done in the middle of leaps, as well as ones done as you run definitely do more than standing ones
Tested unarmed on top of my horse, momentum has a huge impact on damage.
I can’t remember who it was, but they were throwing haymakers as I zipped past people and it was knocking them out cold.
