I improved the movesets by tweaking this stances and a few of the moves, effectively they are the same but just a bit faster and I'm going to update all of them soon anyway

do you know if there's any changes that've been made to allow for better close-range fighting?
bc i've seen that be an issue a lot with the polearms
the best i've managed in my attempts has been just binding a move specifically to pull back the spear as i hop to get back distance, but yeah, with polearms our options go from very small bardiche to very long halberd so while we don't get some middle ground i don't think we really CAN do much
still, having an option to specifically pull the polearm head as back as possible can be really useful, if situational
maybe if you mix in (i forgot who's) your armpit hold for one-handing the spear, you could try using it to reach around the side/poke at someone close to you? im not too familiar with spear combat unfortunately, so im sorry if what im saying is dumb
oh the armpit couch hold is yours lmao
that armpit hold is mine, but sadly it really only works well with a shield, as it's not quite easy to maintain the hold between moves, or extend/retract all that much

the only issue i see tbh is if i hold right special/ special attack 2 and try left special/special attack 1 then i go twisty arms but thats more of a user error
