build a model out of small parts.. not for 3d printing really. just for each modification. I want the model made up of dozens or hundreds of parts for easy modification,
so I want a chair. the cushion, is seperate from the frame,. and each part of the frame is seperate as well. the feet are seperate, the screws.. you get the idea..
#Split into many small parts.

You can still further split it using the manual add option.
👍 But I think I get what you mean — you’d like the segmentation to better follow the model’s structure or your intended parts, so it feels more component-based and needs less manual tweaking, right?
Right exactly often I will need to take a model and re-color parts of it or make parts longer or remove sections that I don’t need so it would just be way easier if it was already split into components basically from the start
One example today I created a shelf and the shelf image I used as the prompt had a bunch of water bottles on it and I just wanted the shelf so in this example, I would just be able to select all the water bottles and remove them and just keep the shelf
In your case, I’d strongly recommend trying our Edit Image feature. Let me know if it helps!
No, I need to make the edits after I have it in 3-D
sure, so it's still about how to make segmentation more intelligent
