Same here... Everyone's excited for that new Dreamina app which uses Seedance, but it's not out in the US and I'm too lazy to figure out how to get it on a VPN.

I also keep joking that, unlike OAI, Google is an actually profitable business... I suspect that in the long run Google will be a strong player in the AI space, including video gen, so I'm keeping an eye on Flow and some other projects here. I like the visual quality of Veo's output, but it's not up to Sora2's general utility level yet. Music and voices are bad, and the prompt interface needs more work, in my humble opinion.

I switched 4+ mo ago, I'm not going back! Nobara and Bazzite support Steam as part of the install, Discord works, Brave browser is better privacy oriented while also supporting Chrome extensions, it's really not a problem these days! You can even ask your favorite LLM for help by sending it screenshots or text logs of what you're working on as you set it up, which imo makes things much easier these days! If that's too much to do, install Brave browser on windows and turn off annoying Windows features; you can ask a LLM how to do that also.
