It doesn't really use everyday VPNs, but residential home adress VPNs that more often can't be instantly detected as VPN

It has dozen new VPNs for free everyday, so if they detect one as VPN you can just use another.

More often Korean ones are undetectable, and some Japanese ones, those are faster too. Turn on a VPN then check if it's being detected as VPN with this

I assume it works by autoregressively predicting images given an input image, as well as the user's motion inputs. the motion inputs inform the model about what frames should happen next, in a similar way that a question sent to a language model informs it about how to respond.

I've actually created something similar to Genie-3; a real-time image/video generation engine which can do about 30fps using B200 gpu. Finished API endpoints and have around 40 usecases for the engine/model. Hope to be able to find devs who will help me build an ecosystem around it.

nah I think Google has an Impossibility Drive that they source these things from

there is a startup called Overworld, which is having some success training interactive video models like Genie, but with mouse cursor support for looking around, and it works on consumer hardware. it's still a proof of concept like Genie, but it's exciting that it can run on a consumer GPU

I'm not a representative of Google, but as far as I know, there is no official way to get access outside of the US, and there has been no announcement indicating when it might be available anywhere else.

I think I saw one user say that it could work only if you made your account with a US VPN, but I have no way of knowing if this is true, and you'd be gambling money to test the theory (and presumably breaking ToS).

I suppose you could ask someone who does have access to let you Remote Desktop into their computer 😅 but there would need to be an immense amount of trust and coordination involved with that.

Been playing with Genie a lot lately and it got me thinking about a different direction for AI games.

Instead of large remote models generating gameplay server-side, this driving sim runs fully in-browser from a tiny ~5MB model with no download or setup required.

Feels like there’s an interesting space for lightweight AI-generated games and simulations that are portable, cheap to run, and playable instantly instead of relying entirely on heavy cloud inference.

Curious if anyone else here is experimenting with this direction or interested in pushing it further?
