FYI if anyone else experiences this, the following seemed to sort it..

Open Gmail on your computer.

Click the Settings icon (the gear ⚙️ in the top right corner).

Click See all settings.

Navigate to the Accounts and Import tab at the top.

Look for the section labeled "Send mail as".

If you see a link that says "Switch to @gmail.com?", click it.

Please fix the page to point out the fact that you have to use a consumer Gmail account so I don’t waste my time complaining about the fact that it doesn’t work only to find out the reason why it doesn’t work is your fault.

Not to be secret about this but my version needs refinement; actually in the deep of v1.1 code push right now.

TL;DR: it is a personal assistant that are capable of synthesize all your persoal correspondences, managing schedule and newsletter subscriptions into a daily briefing, delivering in a customizable tone/voices

• Main features/user benefit: enable hands-free, conversational experiences to keep users stay on top of daily affaires; in future iteration, carryout tasks online on behalf of users with voice command.
  Perfect for users on-the-go, i.e. commuting, exercising, driving
• Target user/use case: personal; not incorporate work/enterprise use case any time soon
• Bottleneck / primary challenge: right now is latency, particularly text-to-speach; a few optimization for semantic caching I am going to implement this week. Expect to speed up time to first token.

Got my first daily briefing today. The first one they sent me lacked a lot of information, but when I prompted for it, it did return a full email with all the information I set up for it yesterday.

Query: CC has unlimited memory? - as in - there is no "context" token limits?

If it works the way it says it does - I see quite a few implications to how it can be used that you may not notice.

Assuming you know how to keep coherency in lengthy sessions (I do - solved it through natural language prompting. Quite a feat no?)

What is the user using Jules for? What about Canvas mode? what did he make with mixboard? imagefx? musicfx? potraits? Pomelli? - how do the users projects go together in one semantic narrative?

Right now - the users work is fragmented. A user either has to manually TELL his strategist agent the current playing field (and for someone like me that uses over 10 AI tools in dynamic and extremely creative ways - that's not easy) Or he has to be the one to ask repeated pointed questions - consistently clarifying the context of the situation "but actually; I already have something for that - or: yeah, but you forgot to take into account I have an Autogen contribution pending - if it gets merged and I think it will that's a huge credibility boost - meaning I do have some respectabiliy for x request"

That slows down productivity - if CC remembers everything (and it claims it does) that makes a HUGE difference for a consumers capability to utilize him as a central node of gathered information.

I'm excited - extremely so for the feature where CC can parse attached files & google drive files.

Essentially coalscing a users entire work database into one contextual understanding of the users situation - allowing for someone like me with ADHD, High-IQ Autism, OCD etc - to connect his abandoned projects - his assets (I made so many amazing things that I just have sitting on a cloud server gathering dust - massive intellectual property worth) - to his goals.

2. Go to Google Workspace Smart Features
3. Ensure "Smart Features in Other Google Products" is enabled.

Mine had been off for some reason, and the moment I enabled it CC sprang back to life. Hope that helps!

I told her to prove to me by telling me exactly where it is in the process using the example of an install window that would show a percentage % gauge telling me exactly where it’s at

That was 26 minutes ago / crickets

So I’m guessing I really put it to work and that it only responded to me this morning cause it’s in built heuristics - forcing it to stop and give me a report for the day

Honestly, I don’t mind if it works the way I meant it too.

It will be extremely useful to me thereafter.

Would be nice if users could decide what time they receive the email, i usually get it around 1-2AM which is cool and all, but it usually gets thrown into the mix of late night early morning emails I receive (5-20 a day), sometimes gets lost if I forgot to check it

also when I click the redirects to the emails it's referring to in the cc daily email* when using the gmail app on my iphone, they don't actually take me anywhere however they work as normal on the web version

This happened to me before, yes. For me it was an issue with enabling Workspace in other Google Products, something you can adjust in your settings menu in Gmail

I have had workspace enabled the entire time while it was working. And replying to old cc briefs to get a response doesn't work and direct new emails to cc doesn't work to get a response when previously it did respond when I did those thing until 3 days ago.

Well, interestingly, I appear to have had CC permissions since December 16th. I don't remember when I first signed up for the waitlist, but it might have been around then. So does that mean that everyone who signs up for the waitlist automatically gives CC permissions, even though they don't yet have access? 🤔

The only reason I even checked was the thread created (apparently by a Googler) ⁠"how do i know that i have CC" which says to check for CC permissions to know if someone has access to CC. But it seems it's not that simple, at least for free users.

AI Inbox is US only at this stage, so I'm still waiting to try it, but from what I understand the AI Inbox is meant to make sense of Gmail only, "on the spot", while CC integrates with more services and is meant as a sort of personal assistant feature.

We're at a very rigorous K12 prep school, and the students get multiple dozens of emails per day about Club events, meetings, College deadlines, scheduled coaching sessions, and about a million assignments. Having an AI tool if I can give them a daily summary and to act as a backup mini manager for each student so they know what focus triage things they should work on each morning is great.

Right now we been running Google Gemini with all 9th to 12th grade students, and faculty and staff.

But we still don't have it integrated across the entire Google suite of tools yet. Still working on some of the change management for that.

It's also a good way to teach a new paradigm to email correspondence, so instead of writing an email to confirm receipt and anything they can direct CC to send their homework to a teacher or to check calendars with someone and share their availability.

My email box goes back from when Gmail started I think. And I have a lot of stuff that comes in. It's probably going to be 90% spam to most people, but it's because I love sweepstakes. But I've just always used that account for about everything even though I have others. I've been loving CC.
My only hesitation has been when it resurfaced a phishing email that I had already rejected. I'm concerned about hidden prompt injection possibility with stuff like that.

I'd think that was a privacy thing, unless you're entering items on your calendar or tasks. My honest feedback about CC is it ... is way more frustrating than helpful. It gets hung up on things that I've already resolved but doesn't have context they WERE addressed (and telling it so is an annoying extra step - returning library books, picking up amazon orders from a locker, etc), or spam and emails addressed to my email but are for the wrong person (I have an early gmail address that people seem to mistakenly think is "theirs"), and redundant/unhelpful reminders of daily emails I already get (real estate listings, ebay notifications). Very very seldom have I found it genuinely helpful and it seems to require a ton of babysitting just to know what's NOT relevant.

Why not add checkmark buttons to mark what tasks are already complete, or an "irrelevant" button. Things like that. To make it way faster/easier for me to teach CC. Rather than tediously replying to it.

My gut feeling is that they're limited by what they can do in an email format - which is just links. But I could see CC eventually being incorporated into Gmail/Gemini as a built-in feature, where maybe it could more interactive. Or maybe it could become a Chrome extension?

I have a whole "misdelivered" label in Gmail I send them all to, just for fun. CC does get confused about them at times, but I've been able to reply to correct a few things like that and it usually remembers pretty well.

The other mistake it's made a few times is that I go by my middle name, and it thought official stuff addressed to my first name was for a family member or something. Like if it was from my kid's school, it thought my first name was my kid. I think I've got it remembering that now too. 🙂

Alright and thank you, yes i have some ideas on what i think would be nice, an option for a second daily brief, example: one at 6am and one at 6pm, that would be helpful. Also another idea is to give CC emails a profile picture so it isn't just using my profile picture, now I can mess around with contact settings to do that but if it was set to a custom CC profile picture from the CC team it would look better & more professional i believe. And finally, an option for weather updates in daily briefs would be a cool feature as well.

Just wanted to say — CC is genuinely impressive. Excited
to be part of this experiment.

What I find most exciting: CC is quietly validating a radical
hypothesis — agents don't need an app, email IS the operating
system. Through native Gmail integration, it closes a full
perception → decision → pre-execution loop with zero UI.

Google is probably the only company that can fuse inbox,
calendar, and docs into a true Agent OS — and that's exactly
what makes Labs valuable: fast iteration in real scenarios,
defining the next-gen agent interaction paradigm.

For reference, I'm also a whitelisted user of Microsoft
Copilot Tasks. Honestly, the native ecosystem integration
here is something a cross-platform connector approach simply

The "Alex" incident — On day one, CC assumed I was a Silicon Valley executive named "Alex" and started offering to manage something called "Project Phoenix" and plan team offsites in Austin. I'm actually a 20-year-old developer in Wuhan, China. I had to literally send [SYSTEM OVERRIDE] to snap it out of the hallucination 😂. But here's the thing — it never made that kind of mistake again. Within days it had built an accurate model of who I am, what I work on, and how I communicate.

Real-time storm tracking — Last week Wuhan got hit with severe thunderstorms and hail. I casually emailed "weather's insane" and CC immediately pulled live data — rainfall totals, airport delays, flood response levels. When I asked about the meteorology, it broke down the cold-warm air collision dynamics. I joked "isn't this basically a typhoon?" and it gave me a structured comparison. Next morning when it turned out to be just light rain, CC stood down the "flood alert" with a joke. That whole arc — casual complaint → deep-dive → risk briefing → next-day debrief — happened naturally across ~15 emails over 24 hours.

Very important especially since Sunday on the freeway entrance a crazy guy, with my elderly mom in the car and autistic sister no less, almost ran me off the road I had to hug the shoulder in my Subaru, cutting me off when I was ahead of him and there were originally two lanes of traffic, and I just let him go ahead and would have anyway cuz I'm not cuckoo like some drivers causing so many wrecks and road rage incidents lol there's a pandemic with that in Utah recently, and yeah people in trucks and SUVs are just crazy but yeah that specifically is why reminders for insurance and bills are important. Cc has been great in my experience. The main challenge for it is managing things I've already addressed, like it reminded me of an appointment I've cancelled sort of thing, which is understandable.

Every morning it gives me: Weather, upcoming calendar items, upcoming reminders, FYI/Actions based on my emails & add things to my calendar like credit card payments on the due date. I likr how you can really customize it by using your calendars (if you have multiple under your main) or have it do certain things if certain words appear in an event. It can even guess the business of the day if you tell it how to or how to provide a buffer of time around events if it is something special. The customization really takes me back to Google Now which I loved and was very accurate in a major city.

Hi just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy using cc for my daily briefs. With saying that I'd like to mention few things which i have noticed that could use slight improvements. Under the top of mind section maybe it could do a slight hard work and look in my sent box to determine if the actions are completed or not. A lot of times it's very smart and would remind me of my pending tasks but once in a while it also missed few things. I'm not sure how useful this suggestion could be but I was thinking what if there was a separate section specially related to job opportunities that the user is currently applying for - maybe CC could be pushed to separate these things related to job opportunities or similar things which are important to users in general and list them in order of urgency?

My favorite part of CC is it went straight to your email and was entirely custom The my daily brief appears to be limited in its customisation. It would be nice to have some flexibility in the daily briefying even if it involves crystals.

It’s not a generic feed; it’s built around him — his habits, his patterns, his long‑term interests. CC’s brief adapts to him over time, and that level of personalization can’t be replaced by a standard template.
Think of it this way:

As long as he wants something that grows with him and lands directly in his inbox, CC will keep delivering exactly that.
