Cmon it's been days and still no fix!! @shy axle
Hey @lean jetty , sorry for the trouble. This issue is now fixed. Please try again and confirm if it's working. Thanks!
Hey @random sleet apologies for the inconvenience. The team has pushed a fix for this issue. Would you mind testing it again on your end and letting us know if it's resolved? Thanks for your help!
Hey @terse jay instant prototypes in Stitch automatically turns your static UI screens into a clickable, interactive app flow. Please try it out and let us know your feedback.
Hey @surreal gyro , sorry for the trouble. A fix has been rolled out and it should be working now. Please try again and confirm when you can. Thanks!
Hey @sterile ledge please take a look at the Stitch MCP documentation here for setup instructions: https://stitch.withgoogle.com/docs/mcp/setup?pli=1. This should provide the information you need!
Hey @thorn crypt A fix has been rolled out and it should be working now. Please try again and confirm when you can. Thanks!
Hey @dire cloud could you please try again? This issue should be resolved now and no longer persisting.
Hey @worn pumice have you heard anything from Rustin yet in response to your email? Just wanted to see if he got back to you.
nop
no response
would you like to transfer it to you ?
Umm, sure! You can send that to me via DM, and I will bring it to the team’s attention.
okk
Thanks Google Team 🫡 the Issue was Fixed 💯
Stitch is brilliant thing, but there is a problem as i see and i will describe it as my knowleges in AI allow, but ofc google team should know better
When i create 8 pages for the website (five of them is long enough) it try to optimize its' context window, but not enough to make new big pages
So for example i already have a night theme for landing constructor on my site (idea is to make own sublanding for every project/app on own site), but when i ask to make a light version of the same page - gemini 3.1 pro already dont has enough context window size to make new big page, couse all other pages anyway are into its' active context window and dont leave any space for creation new big pages (i tried 5 times and always gemini create small page)
I think, the best solution for this problem could be just adding new canvases to the same project, so gemini could use common rules for all pages on all canvas, but without a problem with a context window (which is less that 1m tokens i guess:)
Hello, I’m unable to duplicate my project. Could you please guide me on how to fix this? Thank you.
And currently, I’m also unable to create new screens even though I still have plenty of credits.
Thanks! Unfortunately still no...
Try Brave all works for me now!
That is brave
Oh.
I'll try others
I have created a web page with persistent left and top navigation but in trying to create new pages the ai is creating a totally different website ui even when I specifically tell it not to do that
Does anyone know any prompts or tricks to prevent this issue
I am having problems with Stitch because it shows me this message.
I'm developing a work flow for sane people. Prompting the whole page at a time is nuts.
- When a new section is ready just select the trunk and say "append @my_section to the end of body".
- Mark/Annotations are completely unpredictable as far as what they consider boundaries. Just prompt with reference.
- When a style is working, update DESIGN.md, preferably with codex or opus.
- Add your own "Do's and Don'ts" section to Design.md since stitch does not.
I read somewhere in the docs that in order to create a new page we should start with something small and then modify it slowly - that's what I have been trying
But I think that's not the issue
After a few tries I discovered that the different designs were somewhat consistent - which was odd
It then hit me that there is a 'ghost' project in my own project
I am not sure whether this is happening specifically for my project only but turns out that the designs we delete in a project are not actually deleted - they are still there - just invisible
So the rejected designs I deleted when I initiated the main UI are still there and the AI is using them as a reference leading to inconsistencies with the actual project
I cannot see them but if I press Ctrl+A they can still be selected and even downloaded or exported
Stitch improved support for images! https://x.com/stitchbygoogle/status/2052795140927086946
This is definitely a big bug. I filed a ticket. https://discuss.ai.google.dev/t/undo-brings-back-everything-i-deleted/143938
Undo brings back all those "deleted" comps.
While I do suspect those dead elements affect the context window, consider that your Design.md is just fighting you. It can be as bad as Agents.md if it's not perfectly in sync with the direction.
Once you're locked in on a look, describe that to Design.md. Have gpt or claude make the updates as somethings need to be reinforced in multiple sections. Less is more.
No shade for vibe coding Stitch but this undo behavior is a show stopper and a major bug. If you delete all of the variations you don’t like, at some point in the future if you undo a completely unrelated task, ALL of the deleted comps are restored. I have to favorite things as soon as I like them to cut down on confusion when cleaning up tha...
Hi, joel, I want to know about your work
in stitch when undo is done why does it undo every panel ? need ai to fix this problem
🫠 now i have to delete every panel i dont need again
hey, trying to create an API key in Settings to connect with Antigravity through MCP but getting an error "Failed to create API key". Seeing js errors in the console (attached). Known issue?
Same issue here, buddy. Not creating an API key.
Hey @warm dawnthanks for flagging this. As a workaround, would you mind duplicating the project and stripping it down to just the major screen? Please also copy/paste your design.md instructions into the duplicate (if they aren't there already) and see if that resolves the performance issue. Keep me posted!
Hey @barren glen , is it possible that you have reached your daily quota? If that is not the case, could you please try clearing your browser's cache for Stitch and then try again? Let us know if that resolves the issue.
Thank you for answer.
I reload the page, then opened the same project, attach to new session in the same project only two pages for night mode of site and say to make one big page as that pages.
In that way it correctly make big enough page, just at first try, with no problem
After that i ever create 3 options of day mode version of that page and all of them was almost the same long
P.S. i m attaching pages which was created before every time as i generate new, couse in this way stitch make pages alway in the same style and dont even try to create new style pallets
For some unknown reason, I'm unable to see the tools list inside Cursor. Any advice?
I'm looking for help using Stitch. I'm creating a website, but I'm a beginner. I already have a proposal, but I don't know how to make it present as an interactive website.
I would also like to know if there is a Spanish-speaking group, thank you.
Are you attempting to create the key at https://stitch.withgoogle.com/settings ?
Once created, you should be able to select Antigravity as your client and get a snippet to copy.
Definitely a huge bug. In the mean time, I suggest you favorite any comp as soon as you like it to make it easier to clean up when this happens.
What steps did you take to create the key?
Yes that's where I'm trying to create the key, and getting this error (and the js errors in the console that I attached previously). it's been going on for several days now and it's not possible to create a key. another user reported the same issue.
Thanks. Have you tried clearing cache for the site or deleting cookies?
Same after deleting or disabling cache and clearing cookies
i can paste the response from batchexecute if that helps.
Might help but RpcError suggests there's a problem with the request itself. Only reason to suspect your machine is if you've highly configured your network (dns, open ports, corporate network etc). Most likely poorly managed resources on their end. Best bet is to try incognito mode or a different machine for now.
I already found the preview tool
I tried with several machines and it's the same. MacBook and Windows.
@novel sparrow are you able to create an API key yourself right now?
just tried with a VPN and in incogito window and still the same error
@finite kernel reported the same error. is there anyone able to create API keys right now?
Yes, sometimes I get a failure message and sometimes nothing happens. But it never creates a key.
Still can't
you guys should add support for something like grapeJS, or draft some extension up. it would take you guys probably like half a week to get this production ready and like 45 minutes to vibe code it while someone takes lunch. its "fairly easy" to detangle the html into components, parse the tailwindcss into inline style props and do the reverse on saving. and if its so easy to literally have a in browser figma like editor, im wondering why this product , that could be so much is currently a "toy"
@ivory mica sorry for this just curious if this issues is getting looked into in stitch when undo is done all panels show up again
Hi, there is a bug when we download png image when we open it we cannot view or see it I tried with different tools
it says " it looks like we don't support this file format "
Hey can any one tell how to use the Antigravity with agent skills before starting and project adding stitch , claude, ui/ux and different skills integrating in the Antigravity
same err
when working with the mcp is the only way to identify screens with the name or is there a way in Stich to see the screen id
Hey!! New here so i have been trying to use the stictch mcp in antigravity but the settings is unable to generate a key for me .. nor for antigravity nor for vs code or any other IDE
Mhmm hii, I've been having troubles to generate an API Key for in my Google AI Pro account for stitch... I click on the button but nothing happens...
Yes, I have also faced that issue. And again I had to delete those panel.
Here is the issue I filed. https://discuss.ai.google.dev/t/undo-brings-back-everything-i-deleted/143938

@novel sparrow any one looking at the API key problem? 🙏
See above, everyone's reporting the same issue, it's been going on for more than a week now
only accounts from india are affected, i used My account from UK and it worked the key genrated, Before this i have tried in various other emails of mine. it seems they have restricted only for a region
My account is in Australia and I'm affected
I'm in Australia and it doesn't work so it's not just India. interesting that it's region based though.
im just assuming they restrictd it for mass volume
Yeah they usually open features first only to the US and UK. So maybe they just forgot to open it up to the rest of the world 😂
I'm still unable to create a key even though I'm using a US account and a US VPN.
Hey @nocturne granite , this project is looking great! As a next step, you might want to export it to AI Studio to start building it into a working application. Excited to see the progress!
Hey @odd moat , sorry for the trouble. I have escalated this to the team, and we will have a fix for this soon. In the meantime, could you please try clearing your cache for Stitch and logging back in?
thanks, appreciated. I tried deleting cache and cookies but it doesn't help. Same with incognito.
Hey @finite kernel , we have tracked the issue and the team is currently working on it. We expect to have an update for you very soon. We truly appreciate your patience!
Sure, thanks for the info! We're working on it, and this should be fixed soon.
Hey @dire cloud , I couldn't reproduce this on my end as the image download worked fine. Could you try deleting and re-uploading the image once more? Let me know if that helps!
Already tried maybe isolated case
Hey @terse jay, we don't currently expose the screen_id within the Stitch interface. Could you share a bit more about what you're trying to achieve by extracting it? Usually, clicking "Select as Reference" and providing a prompt is the most efficient way to apply changes to specific screens.
Hey @gentle onyx , the team is on it! I'll make sure to share any updates with you here as they come in. Thanks for flagging this!
Hello thanks for reply. I'm accessing the mcp through Agent in coding space, if creating issues within say a reposityory where an agent is to view a specidfic screen design to follow or implement referencing that screen for the Agent currently seems to be by the name. The Agent in workflow would only fetch designs.
My workflow today looked like this:
- I copied the documentation links for Stitch.
- I pasted all the links into NotebookLM.
- I asked NotebookLM to create a prompt for Stitch based on my project.
- I pasted the prompt into Gemini and explained the tweaks and modifications I needed.
- I generated prompts for all the screens required for my project.
Meanwhile, I started Docker and opened Antigravity.
I took the Stitch API and pasted it into the MCP settings in Antigravity.
Then, I explained my project to Antigravity and asked what we should do next.
By following this process — without knowing a single piece of code or syntax — I was able to build my project.
Super excited for I/O next week! https://x.com/stitchbygoogle/status/2055012572081144070
Very excited for I/O next week! 👀 While we count down the days, I wanted to share one of my favorite Stitch prompts that we just made even better:
📝 Copy/paste your messy resume or portfolio data
🖼️ Attach a profile picture
🎨 Ask Stitch: "Make me a resume website in an 80s
wait did stich got a update for the comment feature it does not rebuild the hole page just what yoiu asked it to fix wow
THEY DID A UPDATE but did not fix the undo feature
Wow, great job! @spiral bobcat, this is some really cool stuff you've built. Please keep sending us your updates and experience. Happy designing!
Hey @unborn violet , we have a lot in the pipeline right now! You'll be seeing plenty of new things rolling out over the next several days. We'll be waiting for your feedback, happy designing!
how the heck do you continue a conversation with a stitch reply?
I am noobie to ui/ux and would like to learn stitch . where should i start ? i need to know enough to start using stich
Honestly, the easiest way to start is just to open Stitch and try a simple prompt. Something like “Make a clean login screen.”
Then tweak it by telling Stitch what to change.
You don’t need UI/UX background — you’ll pick things up as you go.
You just talk to it like you’re editing the same screen.
Stitch keeps the context, so you can say things like “Move the button down” or “Add a search bar.”
No need to repeat your whole prompt — just tell it what you want next.
It makes a new thread every time I type to it..
“Yeah, Stitch always shows each message as a new card — that’s just the UI.
But it’s still the same conversation under the hood, so you can keep giving follow‑ups like ‘move this down’ or ‘change the color’ and it’ll remember.”
Are people successfully using stitch?
I find it to be consistently awful; prompts are not respected, it makes design things up all the time, removes things without being told, adds things without being told.
At this point I'm spending more time fixing the issues that it created vs actually creating.
How are others using it?
How have you been successful?
Are others having similar issues as me?
Stitch constantly report this bug. How to solve this?
Totally feel you on this — you’re not imagining it. A lot of us hit the exact same wall when first trying Stitch. It does ignore prompts, it does add/remove things on its own, and it can feel like you’re spending more time fixing its output than creating your own. You’re definitely not alone.
The core issue is that Stitch isn’t a prompt‑based image generator. It’s a layout engine with very strong design priors. So when you tell it “don’t change X”, it doesn’t treat that as a hard instruction — it treats it as soft intent and then “fixes” your layout based on its internal rules.
That’s why it feels like it’s fighting you.
People who get good results with Stitch usually do three things differently:
Stop describing visuals — start specifying structure.
It listens to layout hierarchy, not adjectives.
Lock your global style in DESIGN.md.
If you don’t override its defaults, it will always fall back to the generic SaaS look.
Use Stitch for the first draft, not the final render.
Generate structure → export to Figma → refine → generate variants.
Once you constrain its priors, most of the “it ignores me” problems disappear.
Not sure what’s causing that — might be worth dropping it in #feedback so the Labs team can take a look.
Hey @dark fractal, welcome to the community! Just start by giving a simple prompt to generate any visual you have in mind, and let Stitch create it. Once you're on the main canvas, you can explore the other features. Thanks!
Hey @velvet topaz, we are working on making Stitch better every single day! Could you try experimenting with different approaches? For instance, try being highly specific with your details - the more vivid and descriptive your prompts, the better the results. Also, utilizing DESIGN.md is an absolute lifesaver for designing in Stitch. To explore how to use it effectively, check out this helpful post: https://x.com/stitchbygoogle/status/2047356036890427448?s=20
The DESIGN.md upgrade is officially live in Stitch! 🚀
Yesterday we open-sourced the spec, and today we are giving you more tools to use it:
📄 Start with DESIGN.md: Attach a DESIGN.md right at the start of a project. Don't have one? Our new wizard will help you extract one
That's a great approach! We are coming with a lot of exciting updates for you all. You’ll see a ton of new enhancements in Stitch that we believe you guys are going to love. Thanks for your support!
Thanks — that makes perfect sense.
Stitch really shines when treated as a project‑level UI builder.
Locking the design system first, generating one screen at a time, defining flows, and using Stitch for structure with Figma for refinement has been the most stable and predictable workflow for me as well.

Hi team. Loving Stitch a lot. I have a lot of feedback. Are there any research opportunities I could participate in?
Also, is there a mobile application for Stitch or any plans to create a mobile experience next?🙏
Thank you for all your hard work.😊
Just announced export to Lovable! https://x.com/stitchbygoogle/status/2057522838807208319
I've been trying to work on this a bit over the past few days. I'm not really good with apps though so if anyone wants to help (or just take all the code and make something awesome), please do :)

Remix?
Aight
Hey @viscid stump , thanks for your interest! We don't have a mobile app as of now, as we are completely operating on desktop browsers. However, we do have this in our pipeline, and you may see it coming in the future. Regarding the research, feel free to send a DM. Thanks!
