I haven't posted this yet but I spent all night trying to make this video for a friend of mine (Tatum Lynn) who is a singer. This is her song. The chorus repeats, I showed it to my friend and she wants me to try a different approach making something more realistic and less "toy story", but I thought this was kinda cute. Took me A LOT of trial and error to get the clips to be similar and fit together using FLOW/VEO3 limitations. WOW!
I might still release this official once it's finished, but this is the "Work In Progress"

It's things like that that annoy me SO MUCH about Flow Veo3. You can write it step by step and somehow it'll still put the hat on it characters shoes then put it on their heads which they'll have more of by time th camera pans up. LOL

The concept is basically a video game "highlight reel" of a paddleboarder's run through a level that gets progressively more insane. Each scene was generated individually in Veo 3 as a test of the AI's ability to handle consistent character models and wild action prompts.
It was a blast trying to "direct" the AI to create everything from the fast-paced rapids to the psychedelic toad sequence and the final 'game over' monster attack. The main character might look a little familiar. 😉

My main goal was to see if I could maintain character identity across a multi-shot story using different techniques. I'm excited to report a lot of success.
All scenes featuring the two scientists, Dr. Vance and Dr. Sharma, were generated using pure text-to-video. Achieving their consistency from scene to scene required highly detailed, iterative prompt engineering and a meticulous storyboarding process designed specifically for AI.
For the final close-up shot of the astronaut ("Commander Sharky"), I used a different workflow. I first trained a Lora model on my own likeness, then used FLUX to generate a high-fidelity starting frame. That single image was then used as the source for VEO 3's frame-to-video animation. The likeness was so accurate my friends thought it was a live-action shot.
This whole process has given me a deep appreciation for the tool's power and its current workflow. I have to give a huge shout-out to the VEO 3 team for creating something so revolutionary. As I was building out this 14-scene narrative, it also sparked several ideas on how the Flow scene builder could be enhanced to further streamline the creation of complex, multi-shot stories like this one.

I've been exploring Character consistency and storytelling with Flow and VEO3. With some well developed safe guards for character visuals, you can get pretty close with solid consistency. It goes off the rails occassionally. Sadly, the most dfficult part is consistent voices. I havent found a solid solution for that yet.

After the model initially failed to perform the sinking action and defaulted to a simpler "walking" motion, we applied a "radical enforcement" tactic: an absolutely static camera, aggressive negative prompts (NO WALKING), and a strict shot timeline to force the anomalous vertical descent. -
Shot 2 (The Emergence): We then reversed the action, forcing the model to recreate the character from an empty scene. The key to success here was providing the model with a complete, highly-detailed technical "blueprint" of the asset, integrated directly into the prompt to enforce identity.

Shot 3 (The Revelation): To solidify this narrative, we generated a final "money shot"—an extreme close-up that served as undeniable proof that the cosmic texture was now part of his body, not a rendering error.
Result & Takeaway:
The experiment fully confirmed the hypothesis. We demonstrated that Veo can be used to craft complex, metaphysical narratives if the process is treated as a dialogue, not just a generation. The most powerful results emerge at the intersection of rigid technical enforcement and the creative flexibility to turn the model's "mistakes" into meaningful story elements.

Our test subject is my canonical character, THE_MONARCH, and the lab is this static "Golden Standard" shot we generated. The goal: to make him interact with the "cosmic puddle" at his feet.
Let's see what happened...
Test 1: The Descent.
The first task was simple: make the character sink vertically into the puddle.
Initial Result: Total Failure.
Veo completely ignored the "sinking" instruction. Instead, it defaulted to the easiest, most common animation it knows: walking. The character just started walking forward.
This revealed a key principle: the model will always try to substitute a complex, unknown task with a simpler, known one.
The Solution: "Radical Enforcement."
We locked the camera, used aggressive negative prompts (NO WALKING, NO STEPS), and scripted the timeline. We gave the model no other choice.
Result: Success!
We forced it to perform the correct sinking animation. This proved that with enough specificity, we can override the model's lazy defaults.
Test 2: The Emergence.
Next, we tried the reverse: starting with an empty scene and making the character rise from the puddle. This tested the model's ability to recreate a complex asset from scratch.
The Result: A fascinating "error."
The model successfully recreated the character, but he wasn't exactly the same. His suit now had a faint "stardust" texture.
The Pivot: "Canonizing the Artifact."
Instead of fighting this, we embraced it. We declared this new look part of the story. The journey through the void changed him. This "bug" became a core narrative feature. It’s a powerful reminder to work with the AI's quirks, not always against them.
Test 3: The "Kintsugi" VFX.
This was the final and most ambitious test. We wanted the static character to trigger a VFX: glowing tendrils healing cracks on the wall.
First Failure: We asked for "liquid golden light." The model gave us lightning bolts. ⚡️
Second Failure: We negated lightning. The model gave us molten lava flows. 🔥
Third Failure: We negated both. The model gave us... smoke plumes. 💨
The Conclusion: The "VFX Choreography Ceiling."
We hit a wall. Veo consistently fails at complex VFX that needs to interact with background geometry (like following cracks). It will always default to the simplest "emission" archetype it knows (lightning, fire, smoke). It cannot handle complex VFX choreography in image-to-video mode right now.
Final Takeaway: This series was a huge success, not because we got everything we wanted, but because we precisely mapped the model's limits. We learned how to force character animation but also discovered a hard "ceiling" for environmental VFX interaction.

Hey Google Labs community,
I'm incredibly excited to share a project that I believe showcases a complete, end-to-end narrative workflow using VEO. This entire one-minute cinematic short, "An Echo of Eden," grew from a single, personal photograph I took inside the Bellagio Conservatory (it's actually my current Facebook cover photo!).
My goal was to move beyond generating disconnected clips and truly use VEO as a rapid story development tool. I wanted to function not just as a prompt engineer, but as a story producer—developing characters with backstories, structuring a multi-scene plot, and iterating on the narrative, all from that one simple image. The ability to quickly generate stories like this is absolutely game-changing.

To give you a sense of the world-building that went into this, here is the full story we developed for the film:
The Story of "An Echo of Eden"
Before the neon jungle of Las Vegas, there was a desert. Before the fountains, there was a spring. And before the Bellagio Conservatory, there was a garden—a lingering memory of paradise, an echo of Eden. It is from this echo that she was born.
They call her Aura. Not a sculpture of moss and flowers, but the living spirit of the place, a dryad of the modern age bound to the glass-encased paradise. For ages, she has slumbered, her consciousness woven into the rustling leaves and blooming petals. She was waiting for a signal. She was waiting for him.
They call him Jack "Captain" Sharky. To the casino, he is just another high-roller, a man of impossible luck and cool calculation. But the tuxedo is a uniform, and the high-stakes table is his office. Sharky is a master of espionage, a specialist who moves through the world of chaos and chance to execute missions others deem impossible. The craps table wasn't a gamble; it was a pre-arranged drop location.
What you see in the film is not a chance encounter. The whisper, "Bet it all on number 13," was the coded passphrase that activated their mission. The explosive Lamborghini escape wasn't a joyride; it was the exfiltration. This meeting is only the beginning of a deadly game that stretches from the heart of Las Vegas to a secret base hidden deep within the icy peaks of the Swiss Alps.
The process involved iterative prompt engineering with Gemini, creating a custom LoRA model for the character of Jack Sharky, and manual editing to stitch the AI-generated scenes into a cohesive narrative. It's a true collaboration between human creative direction and AI execution.

I was experimenting with something inspired by the video “The Making of ANCESTRA.”
As the action continues, the camera transitions to a medium shot at eye-level with the burgeoning formation. This film is a work-in-progress showcase born from a simple idea: escalating firepower against increasingly absurd targets. So far, the arsenal includes:
• A classic shotgun vs. an old Ford pickup
• An Avengers-style missile vs. an unsuspecting ice cream truck
• A naval cannon vs. a fragile crystal temple
• A medieval catapult vs. a grand piano
ABOUT THIS PROJECT:
My primary goal was to tackle one of the biggest challenges in AI filmmaking: creating perfect, impactful sound design that syncs flawlessly with generated visuals. This is a technical demonstration and a creative exploration of what's possible with today's best AI tools.
