Hello fellas, has anyone found a good prompt to make footage look like is from the 90s, or shot on a VHS camera etc? I've tried many different things, but the end results seems to always look like it has shot on modern cinematic cameras.

For example: I use "Handheld amateur 90s VHS camera" to describe the camera type in this clip, but it still outputs video like this

Yes. Not directly. I used Whisk to construct the image over a few iterations. Then I used the final generated prompt from the Whisk image as input into Step 1 of VideoFX text to image to video. VideoFX does a very good job regenerating the image as the initial scene.

Hi! I've found the style can stay very close by maintaining the details in each prompt. I tend to start in Whisk to build the prompt then use the final prompt as input into VideoFX text-to-image-to-video. (I'm pretty sure Whisk and VideoFX both use the Imagen 3 model, which helps a lot.)

Character consistency isn't perfect — small details can change — but it gets pretty close. I usually generate the scene image a few times in VideoFX to get a good match.

Here's an example of a few shots using the same style and characters. I had the most difficulty getting the man's tie to stay consistent.
