hello! someone please help to understand this. Is it a bug with no speech for animated characters or its a policy of the company> I need to create dialogues for my animated movie. obviously many characters are little animals like bunnies, mice etc. and veo 3 wouldn't create voices as it says that "voice generation with minors is not supported" but they are animated characters for a kids movie. they are not even kids they are animals! I am not sure what harm this can make and also veo3 sees what is on the picture that there is no nudity or profanity or anything bad foor kids. so why it would not create speech even for animated characters?

Yes, if you use any terms related to kids or children, the VEO3 voice automatically blocks audio generation. Sometimes, they even decline video generation. Hope Google will fix this problem soon!

Hey just getting started on Flow recently so not too familiar with the limits and what's possible/not. I'm currently testing to see if I can custom make motion graphics instead of having to spend hours in after effects, and while the results are promising, the videos flow has generated has constantly given me random phrases or letters, not the words I have requested it to animate (see below for example). Is there a way to get it to animate/generate specific words or is that not possible?

For Gemini CLI I need a $20 Google Code Assist subscription.

To have a GMail with my own domain I need a $7 Google Workspace subscription, but when I have that, I cannot get the Google AI Pro or Google AI Ultra or Google Code Assist subscriptions.

Every one of these subscriptions gives me very different access to workspace.google.com vs. gemini.google.com vs. labs.google

Bizarrely, if I have Google Workspace (solely so I can use Gmail with my own email address), I am barred from using various other services like Google Flow or new Google Gemini offerings. I have been a paying Google Workspace customer for a decade, and that means that I'm punished, not rewarded.

In the end, to use these offerings, I need three different accounts, each with a different subscription.

It's insane. With this kind of attitude, I am surprised that Google is making any money at all. Well, at least it seems that Google does not have any interest in serving individual customers at all — despite releasing highly interesting products.

I've just cancelled the Gemini Ultra subscription after two price-reduced months. I would have expected that a $250/month subscription would include the benefits of a $7/month subscription and of a $20/month subscription — but I was naive.

Thats one of the better ways to do it for sure. The scenes definitely break down when adding more subjects. I like prompting for one side and then the other and interlacing the video/audio. With veo youre always battling visual consistency and physical actions and it seems to be a balancing act where prompting for one causes the quality of the other to drop.

I feel guilty asking Google about a EZ-subscription, because Google can nuke both Microsoft Copilot and Anthropic Claude so easily. I think Google can put Anthropic's Claude Pro/Max out of "useful" business instantly. I think Google is being nice and not doing it because Google would have done it already if Google wanted to. Whatever Google does with API access for coding, MS and Anthropic would have to try and adjust to it--And fail due to lack of capital from both of them. They can't front the bill for RLHF and that's their critical failure, and their decision not to make the biggest bet on the future possible.

Maybe Google is too smart to offer an EZ-subscription, because $20/month is much less valuable than the training data. What is the use of a little $20 now up front, when this only slows us down to get to the critical phase transition? Anthropic's losing because they do not comprehend the value of the data as Google does, and because they're high entropy RL starved since all the customers have no-training PP, and the "free" tier's tiny context does not yield useful training. None of these companies have the kind of feedback that Google realized was making Gemini much smarter in the Experimentals. Yeah, it might sound far off, but honestly, I don’t think it’s that far away. In just a few years, everything has evolved so fast. I recently saw something about South Park with a process that lets you create episodes in a similar way. I’d have to dig up the source, but I remember thinking it was super fun.

And the progress with Unreal Engine? It’s insane. I really hope I get to see all this before I die. I’m a huge fan of video games and cinema… but also a massive lazy guy. The idea of creating everything that’s in my head in just a few minutes, using nothing but words that sounds like a dream.

In the short term, though, I don’t think we’ll see a massive shift. Netflix is still a major player, same with Disney and other platforms. YouTube might join the race too it wouldn’t be surprising but I doubt Netflix will crash and burn anytime soon. Just because there’s competition doesn’t mean a new platform can’t carve out its space. But for something to truly challenge giants like Netflix and Disney, it would need to offer something radically new and absolutely mind-blowing.

Yes exactly, there is a lot of misinfo on the net about youtube's july 15 update. But they literally never mention AI once in that entire update.
The channels that wont get monetized are the ones that are fully automated, and automation existed long before AI via scripts.
Basically they will target any content farms that always use the same exact easy to reproduce formula for each video (slideshows, putting your head in the corner and just occasionally laughing, etc, etc)

You have to edit the AI content. They won’t approve monetization if all you’re doing is uploading AI-generated cat videos. If you’re trying to tell a story, add a voiceover to make it more engaging. Sometimes Veo 3 messes up the facial expressions or lip sync, so I turn the video into an image sequence and fix it myself using IbisPaint or another program.

I had this issue too! I had to use another tool (Higgsfield) which generates with Veo3 on the backend. That worked! I think the content policy blocker on Flow is separate from the actual Veo engine itself. Each website/service seems to have its own content policy
