#Creating MCP Server via SDK is failing
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Hey Jez,
Based on the error message it looks it was a validation error, can you check if you're passing the right arguments? Can you set COMPOSIO_LOG_LEVEL=debug and share the full error msg?
Hello, thanks for your reply. I've tried to add that. What concerns me is if you create an MCP server in the Composio console you first give the server a name, then add the toolkit, then the allowedTools, then it creates an auth config, then you connect users. However, that is not what the guide says. https://docs.composio.dev/docs/mcp-developers
The video demo shows creating it programmatically.
Quick correction => authConfig is supposed to be created first and then an MCP server can be created for it.
Also, what platform are you using to create the server? https://platform.composio.dev or https://mcp.composio.dev ?
And can you share the code snippe that you're using to create the MCP server & the SDK version? this would help in debugging the issue faster. Thanks.
