Small glowing bug that sits on the ceiling. Whenever something makes noise around it, it flutters its wings and releases a dense fog. This fog completely masks light, and light tools won't work either.

They just mean that it shouldn't be more annoying than existing monsters

Maybe since spore lizards and gas leaks also cause blindness

#

So another blinding creature might need a countermeasure or some way to detect it beforehand
