So like, it's a shadow silhouette that appears on the walls around the player holding the most money worth of loot, and, once that player is alone, will strangle and kill him, taking all of his items. It can be warded off only by dropping your most valuable item, but in theory you could just avoid it as long as you get out in time.

Yes, the Bracken is also shadowy and the lootbug can be given loot, but those are the only similarities. There aren't that many mechanics in this game to work off of. There will be similarities between mechanics. If the shadow aesthestic is too redundant, a reasonable complaint, the design itself can be reworked. But no, it is neither of these two things
Personally, I'm shocked no one has drawn a similarity to the ghost girl, the only other monster that targets and haunts a specific player. Really, it's a fusion of the lootbug and ghost girl, with a design similar to the Bracken
but the difference is that you can see (or not see idk you didnt say) and that ghost girl, while yes targets and haunts a specific player, you have to look at her for her to do anything. but you have to see her like 2-3 times anyway. while the braken just tries go get you alone and snaps your neck (i know he can still snap your neck when your with people but it usually happens when your alone)
