its much hardet to seperate and rewrite networking than it may seem
the game was designed with p2p connection in mind
on the other hand minecraft was made with client/server architecture in mind
(these may be the same thing but in this context i mean that they are just not the same)
lethal company's progression is quick too, if a player goes offline and they come back when everyone gets fired it wouldn't feel as good as making progress and getting fired together
im divided on this ngl
being able to hop in or out at any time is convenient, but having a constistent gang leads to more fun

with ilspy i'd be able to view networking stuff, but yeah i understand what you mean.
Atleast for me as a host I'm confident i could host a server to support everyone without going offline, but it would also relieve the stress off of the clients and allow for better performance on modded servers.
