If someone could make a mod where you could mount the apparatus on a wall or custom terminal/upgrade like how it is in the facility and it would drain like a battery, while you have one mounted it could increase door close time, or maybe lower the cost of going to a moon, like Artifice, instead of costing 1500 it would only cost 1250 and 50% of the apparatus's value/battery, It would be cool.

LateGameUpgrades has a feature where money made from selling Apa goes towards ship upgrades. (You can disable purchasing them other ways if you want apa to be the only way of getting upgrades, and use alternative currency with custom prices if you want to be able to move your upgrades around).
Although it would be very cool if there was a spot to "mount" them in the ship
