Soon, this weekend I'll test TP events, if they work I'll drop the file here so people can test it and report bugs, then I'll fix stuff and release it

Hopefully I'll have fixed lights but in the worst case, there'll just be no exit to the backrooms lol

I don't know if it's the idea of backrooms but it's something I imagined for the backrooms, maybe my imagination tends to join the general idea

There are multiple interpretations of it
The wiki one, kane one, the insanity one, and the wiki alone breaks into multiple other stuff
would be my own intepretation but it's definitely based on everything i saw
From what you have said, it does feel like it is your own interpretation, taking a few stuff from kane and the insanity one

Insanity one being that there are no monsters, just the place, you get crazy because of the repetition, the endless of it all, the constant noise, the lack of human connection
I'm not a hardcore fan of Backrooms so I don't have a fix idea, but I really have a deep and heavy idea of the backroom lore I want to implement
it's completely optional to the player btw
only dedicated players will achieve to connect the points
I had a few ideas: If you're in solo, and you get into the backrooms, the moon time will completely stop
and uh
I remember that you wanted to have like an achievement of looking at a scene or smth for like 2 minutes hehe

I'll share some bit of the lore I was imagining for the mod
Long long ago, not even Zeekers know when, some assets, gods know how many, happened to end in the backrooms. This phenomenon was not documented as it only happened to a very few, and the company doesn't really care about lost employees anyway.
The previous assets who came by, but also maybe other people, not related to the company, fell in the backrooms with their items. However, not a single victim had already met another. Only what remained of them: their items. No bodies, the Backrooms are perfectly clean, besides chairs, tables, paper, pens, spray paint, and various scraps of assets who unfortunately happened to clip in the backrooms.
Some may have tried to live there, as they abandoned exiting these.
Some have been able to exit the backrooms.
Apparently, The Backrooms remove needs like hunger and thirst, so nobody has ever died from starvation.
Some have ceded to dementia, insanity or such.
Maybe most of Those Who Were Here Before.
The entity that lives here looks nothing like a human... But how did it get there ?
What is this place ? Why does it exist ? What does it represent ? Who built this place ? Where is it ?
All these questions will be answered thanks to artifacts that can be found on various cell variants of the backrooms. Some may have papers, where you can read notes left by Those Who Were Here Before.
Some may have left writings, written with red spray paint, what was going through their ill minds.
Some may have left notes of their understanding of this world, with proofs that they tried to see what's outside, to understand what this place is. To understand what the entity is.
Some may have left artifacts of their last day in this world.
After I'm done with a satisfying version of this mod, by that, understand once I'm done with the entire LEVEL 0 and the entity, I'll start working seriously on my old project CONCEALED COMPANY
Backrooms Renewed progressed at a very good pace when I wasn't stuck by the lighting, and it will be going fast again, trust me
Backrooms Renewed will be left open to other contributors to add new Backrooms Levels to their wishes :)
Obviously all the stuff will be added over the updates but I can guarantee 1.0.0 will have at least exits 😂

I'm reworking the variant randomization system, it has two passes now for better randomization and also so the cells i decided "must absolutely spawn" will still be placed in a random way

the walls and room size will stay the same, however the variants will just randomly have pillars and additional walls inside the room, also holes in the floor that will just lead you to death

The tile/cell system just... Doesn't allow me to do that, I'd need to create a completely brand new generation system and i just can't afford doing that for now
The best I can do is give this illusion by making many variants that reduce the surface of the rooms
