might have found a bug, when testing on a profile where your mod is installed, if i run 2 clients, the second one makes the first one break if the loading screen is open..

ie, there can only be one loading screen, when there should be two loading screens (one for each client)

i realise this is out of the realms of normal play, just thought i should highlight this to you.

reproduced by opening two clients, the second one opening before the loading of the first one is finished (which i try to do to save time)

If you have a lot of custom moons, you can see while the lethal company window is black, them loading on the console, I will try to make this mod detect those, and make the loading screen display loading moons (configurable ofc)

Soo I did a replace all LoadingScreen to 1. LoadingScreen for the config file and it also changed the folder look code
The code now is looking to 1. LoadingScreen instead of LoadingScreen
This will be fixed Sunday or Monday

From general improvements mod config and code I guess gale just detects if the default setting (It's a string) is a hex code

Ah. It only does it if it's the hex values alone, not the hex code prepended with # to indicate it. I don't think ColorUtility.TryParseHtmlString will work with that, so I guess I can switch. Parsing the hex strings directly is easy enough, and having a color picker in Gale is super nice.

Yeah, I have that in mind and I coded having in mind the #, I just didn't commit since i didn't test it, incase someone forks it could be broken

I was using the # in my mod since I could also just have html colors like "red" and the like be immediately supported, but yeah, color picker is better. I guess it could do both with a try-catch.

Gale will immediately switch when you input a hex code string without the #, and not allow you to backpedal it.

Ah. But I also use Lethal Config (optionally) and I don't think I can use HexColorInputFieldConfigItem without committing to the bit.

I keep the bound configs around so I can change colors, or whatever, during the game. I don't know how much more lag that creates, but I haven't noticed anything significant...

I have a idea where when windows detects the game as "not respoding" (while loading the game or loading the lobby) the loading screen pops up to avoid the player thinking the game is crashed, avoiding windows saying "close program or wait"

A friend of mine doesn't have the loading screen ever come up. Otherwise it's working perfectly. Don't know what's different about their computer.

Loading time debug is great. Wish it also did the LLL loads that happen during the splash screen before the Online/LAN menu, since that tends to take a while too depending on moons and size of moons. But that's after the pass off. (I have a 60 extra wait time until I get around to reducing the number of moons again.)

Any chance (if it doesnt already, since it's not mentioned in the mod description) for it to pick a random loading image from all the ones in the "LoadingImage" folder, rather than just looking for LoadingImage.png in that folder?
Would mean that if multiple mods try to replace it they are compatible with each other rather than 1 taking priority
I also just wanna goof around with it and have a couple different ones lol

Interestingly, it seems you already do pull up an array of images for when you check patchers/Bertogim-LoadingScreen, and just use the first in the array
But then when checking in plugins, you just look for the first match on "LoadingImage.png"

  • Pick a random image each time from the LoadingScreen folder
  • If I have extra time I will try to make an experimental option to make the loading screen show up when joining a lobby first time (On large modpacks this usually takes 30 seconds + windows marks the game as "not responding") so a loading screen with fake progress will help

When the plugins finish loading there is a waiting time before the main menu shows up
In that time where the screen is black and in the logs you can see LLL saying "--- map loaded"
for each map
The idea is to put that into the text box and progress

No, the Bepinex console can be opened, but the LCVR confirmation window is entirely inaccessible by any means.

the * means any folder/file there
so the default filepath means it will find every "LoadingScreen" folder inside every mod you have in plugins, and then it will pick every png file inside those folders

you probably want ./Plugins/*/Emblem/WhateverEmblemLoadingImageFolderName/*.png

I think I know what might be causing this, it's a feature in the new update that made the loading window insert itself into the game, but while the game is frozen, the LoadingScreen also is, making it unable to receive the load finished message

Setting ExtraWaitTime to 0 might help in the meanwhile

Its probably the OS, if you see the config description it says windows 10 or 11 superior than some versions

Maybe windows ignores completely white or black values
