It happened after i left the moon, playing it was completely fine.
I saw the console spam i believe right before the game is saving in orbit.
Which version of Bilge / WildMoons are you on right now?
Becuase the latest ones don't have the script on them, if so this means I screwed something in LLL rather than in the code

okay I removed every tree that was being unbreakable for some reason, at least all the ones that I encountered
about the masked thing I have zero idea what could be the cause, I removed them from Kanie just in case
So I've been testing out 47-Chronos, and am i crazy or do the "Time anomolies" thing just not happen? I've been watching the clock for a while now and havent seen any huge jumps at all like i expected. Are they just small leaps forward or backwards or are they like, 1-2 hours? If its the ladder then idk what the problem is here
Depends on the time of day and partially on luck. You got 2 types of anomalies, weak and strong ones. The strong ones only appear between 8am and 1pm and they skip the time up to 2,5h forwards or backwards, but they also have a bigger cooldown, meaning that you can not get them at all if they don't happen beforw 1pm. The weaker anomalies skip the time for about 30-45 minutes both ways, but have a smaller cooldown as well. The anomalies despawn at 9pm altogether
I did that mainly because it was kind of bullshit whenever you got an anomaly at 9pm and it would skip the time to 11:45pm and now you can't get back to the ship in time
I guess im really unlucky then lol because from my testing i was getting like 0 anomalies, Itd be great if there was a config to change the cooldown of it ngl

Sure, but also do the time anomolies only work when your inside the facility? Because I was just flying around moons with imperium to see if i wanted them in the pack or not, but wasnt actually going inside. If yes then thats probably why i diddnt see the anomaly lol

Love your moons! I wanted to mention that I noticed on Acheron things such as bear traps & AC units from coderebirth would spawn floating off of the ground
Thanks! As for the acheron floating thing, my theory is this might be a terrain tag issue, since the terrain is tagged as either rock or concrete and that might screw up some placements

I tried to not make it a snow moon but the ground is suspiciously grey
I use chamelon so idk what to set the mansion window and mineshaft cave type

this is a very nice concept. my only recommendation is to lower the cooldown on the flash. not a ton; just enough so you're not in the dark for too long. especially since dogs can spawn at the start of the day on a C- moon
I plan on making several improvements to the map like:
- make the flash have a manual interaction
- change the spawn curves because currently they are really fking broken
- maybe have a different type of flashes once the apparatus is pulled...? (unsure on this one)
- maybe set a different route price?

If some of these changes are not out until tomorrow then it will stay like this until next week (I'll be away from home starting tomorrow)
might replace espira in my mod pack with noctis, its a lot more vanilla matching and fits the same vibes without feeling too cheesy
Overall I say it's a neat moon and I imagine Biodiversity's like coilcrab spawning here maybe
for one, the map is very small, so i dont really mind the light
and as far as i could tell the outside power is 4
so really id say its fine balancing wise how it is

It's not really an issue I would consider major now that we figured out what it is
I kinda want to test if ticking out this box solves the issue but I don't want to break the entire moonpack and be unable to change it for an entire week

I looked with Imperium and the only difference compared to Experimentation was the trigger was a bit smaller and slightly further back but the Trigger exists so that shouldn't matter
So it has to be some flag that needs changed or something

On Experimentation the bug doesn't happen

and it could happen on other custom moons too probably I just haven't tested them all
I just went to find what caused it after having it on Pareidolia cus I was curious lol
Does Pareidolia have a customly tagged ground around the ship? Kanie have a massive concrete walkway and that could mess something up, it did in the past
I think I remember Makron having a similar platform to Kanie, just smaller

At this point we just know it's a trigger thing and that it means masked are for some reason being registered as not inside of the ship

That's supposed to determine when you and enemies are inside the ship or not but for some reason on some custom moons it seems to not detect masked and likely other enemies as well as inside the ship properly

Guessing you used the help from s1ckboy on those lol, I knew when I saw the size they could be optimized
yah, I never sat down and did it properly, for the 3 of those that I changed, I believe I can squeeze out extra 3~5MBs per scene
The other 2 are on separate projects so I'll have to either merge them into the rest of the project (if that's even possible) or I'll just do them individually
I've been super busy as of late but I can't wait to play with the new moon and potentially fixed bilge
Played this mod again after the update, and i gotta say that this moon-pack (And moons in general) are pretty solid, there were some audio/lighting issues here and there, but it was pretty snazzy overall (Although bilge's flood just seems inescapable).

just played on Noctis yesterday - it appears that the huge light in the middle may not be synced properly for other clients
and also, some of the trees on Kanie appear to use the Snowman break effect for some reason
okay I see the issue with the trees, I didn't put the right tag on them so the game probably mistakes them for other breakable objects
as for Noctis, I'm not sure yet but I'll keep looking\

I think it depends on the type of tree that you import on your moon scene
one of the tree types doesn't have its proper tag that's responsible for the script to recognise them as trees rather than snowmen, at least I think so

I heard people saying the insides spawn curves especially were wayy too unbalanced so I changed them

I tried adding the Driftwood from CR to it earlier and damn does it go hard. Seeing the Driftwood's eyes glow in the dark with his menacing sounds just makes the whole thing even better.

Noticed on Terra moon. Dropship items drops thru the terrain (atleast 2 out of 4 spots goes thru the terrain)
and the fire coming out of dropship are flickering(?)
dont actually know what causes the flickering on some moons
but it doesnt bother me as much as music playing as its landing :P
I also saw some meshes hovering slightly above the terrain, they'll also be fixed by then

I think it comes down to how insane the moon is, if the moon is like your normal ones but with extra then you should add it, if it's Oxyde levels of "where the hell am I" then it would be better to have it as it's own thing

hoarding bugs spawn from vents squished down, but unlike other monsters, this is not an exiting animation
so, if the server chugs at the right moment, the hoarding bug will remain squished, and nothing is in the game to make it be un-squished
its probably the rarest bug in vanilla, i dont know of any other obscure ones

I'd have to update some tags to have a specific biome of the Citadel to appear but yeah

I think it's extremely funny that no other modder ever has made a ruins interior (I guess you could also count DemonMae's Unreal interiors but they aren't custom made [idea taken from Unreal]) are modders just extremely against the idea of making anything that isn't a Facility?

From what I saw, currently Kanie is making the entire pack void on lobby launch so either please install standalone versions of my moons or remove the both Kanie .lethalbundles from the files
couldn't find the fix to the issue yet so for now I'm reverting Kanie to the previous version
should fix the green mist void issue
I went through all of the 8 updated mods until it was Kanie's turn and was confused when that ended up being the cause of the black void with green smoke. Never had a moon do that before 😅

Uhm... I've found a bug that can be a nuisance some times.
The 2nd item dropped of the Dropship (front side) doesn't appear on noctis
Deadlock is really cool, did a testrun with it earlier
only weirdness I ran into was a minor fog related thing. The volumetrics for the tunnel infact are visible from positions close to the wall from the outside.
this is because of the little pockets you can hide in during the train sequence, if the fog wasn't extended to them it would've looked weird whenever you'd hide in them
I'll still fix it tho

Has anyone else experienced desync for the train on deadlock? the train / red lighting / grate closing events seem to only occur for the host for me
I tested within my modpack and then again on a stripped down pack

by host only you mean they dont happen for the clients at all or at desynced times?
had the train desync for clients, i think some people saw it but some didn't
For almost every client, the train events did not occur (reportedly)
On one ocassion there was one client who had the train desync'd, by which i mean it occurred at a different time to the host. However it seems like this was in appearance only: they would see the train at the same time as me, but they were later killed by an invisible train at a different time
When I was playing with my group's modpack, that was the first version on release, where that situation with the invisible train occurred (and everyone else reportedly not seeing a train). I noted that down, so I could test it again outside the modpack.
I later did that test with one friend on version 1.0.2, and the issue still occurred. In that instance, the client could not see or be affected the train event that the host could see.
We didn't stick around to see if anything else would've happened; just stopped after that
I'll look around today and get to it tomorrow, for now this probably means Deadlock needs to be either pulled out of the pack or not routed to since it doesn't work

Hey Skelaah, I just wanted to say that you have been cooking with these moons! I was really tempted to add Bilge to my modpack, but I ended up going with Tandraus instead, still a great moon though. The others are also very high quality but just do not tickle my fancy.
I have added the new Deadlock moon though, you knocked it out of the park with that one. I usually do not like moons with non-vanilla gimmicks, but this moon made me reconsider that. The train a simple and effective, being a memorable part of the moon without being overbearing. I sort of think of the train like the Artifice warehouses, and how it “feels” like something Zeekerss would add. Deadlock also has amazing atmosphere with the dark tunnel and train ambience, even after flying around in Imperium and seeing that the train is on a timed loop (and is choreographed with the red lights), it still has me a little on edge. This probably is the scariest non-horror moon I have seen.

I see. I personally would argue the train being on a set schedule is better since it makes the moon more consistent. I know talking about sweaty stuff can turn heads, but at the same time casuals are not making serious modpacks.
If you are up to it, adding AI nodes to the exterior, even if nothing is meant to spawn out there, would be a nice consideration for modpack makers that want to change the spawn pools

that Deadlock update was a small fix to remove desyncing on other clients to make the map actually playable, but other than that I'm still working on Kanie primarily
I would call myself a semi-good casual and i work on a big modpack for me and my friends.

I'll have to change the map layout in order to allow outside AI nodes, currently the landing spot is too small to not cause problems like CodeRebirth's outdoor hazards making the map straight up unplayable
I just have them disabled atm for Deadlock but yeah, for people not tinkering with any configs it could be an issue.

Well, this is up to your discretion but I would argue that if your ‘big’ modpack has most of these traits:
- 100+ mods
- 30+ hours spent on its development
- has mods specifically made for it or you requested mod devs to add features to their mods for your modpack
- has a large config mod (LQ, CC, Lunar, etc.) so you can micro-manage everything
I would argue you are past the point of being a casual player. I myself am not a sweat, as I still am horrible with a shovel and can get lost in facilities, but it would be more than a little ridiculous to call myself a casual player
This is just me, but I would consider this CodeRebirth’s fault and not Deadlock’s. Besides, CodeRebirth has configs to help prevent this sort of issue, so people expecting out-of-box harmony between unrelated mods is their fault. I personally do not like the notion of not adding considerations to mods on the basis of keeping them idiot-proof

You're definitely not going to get every mod working alongside with one another, like with some of Generic's Moons aren't designed in mind with those mods that make your ship bigger
