so a weird idea, i know.. but i just suddenly thought of it so figured i would share incase anyone wants to make it.

I am always thinking "what unique enemies are there?" as i like every enemy I add to my profile to not be the same as another I already have.

so.. I thought this would be fun.

the enemy (whatever its called) would spawn... once a player comes within a certain range of the enemy... (lets say 500 distance, which is a fair distance away!) it will be linked to that player permanently until they go through an entranceteleport (at which point it will unlink and relink to the next nearest player), if the player is looking in the direction of the enemy.. it will be facing directly at them.

if the player moves towards the enemy, the enemy will move towards the player., if the player moves right, the enemy will move left, back -> back, left -> right.. basically.. the enemy will mirror the movements of the player.

the enemy itself. will frankly.. be an enemy that is basically a huge cube block of mirrors... so essentially.. one player in one part of the interior, could unintentionally be moving this enemy in another part of the interior.. and crush their friend, and all the friend would see, is the mirror moving, not knowing who controls it, just that it exists.

the only "flaw" with this enemy is, what happens when its walked into a wall.. would it re-position around the wall due to movement..? or would it just walk into the wall.. but that would be down to the person making it to solve 😄

this seems pretty cool

#

i like the idea of it just walking through walls lmao

#

perhaps some kind of visual indicator to show that its emerging from a side of a wall would be nice tho as itd suck to just be minding your own business when a clone of your friend materializes from the wall in front of you and instakills you

it could also be a follow-ghost type enemy

copies your position 5-10 seconds ago

Oh that’s actually peak

I mean if it would be a mannequin it could work well - if it hits a wall it’ll just stay there so you could play a lil puzzle to play around it

I definitely imagine this to be a coilhead variant peepoGiggles

#

Like it could reposition after a while if noone is looking at it

The basic idea is really neat but its more just creepy than deadly pikaSip

#

If it does move however if you dont look at it on its own than it gets scarier

#

Maybe it could mimic your movement normally not this inverted type way

#

Like if you move forward it moves towards you generally but if you dont look at it it moves the same way you do?

long schooner
#

Well, however it replicates your movement, as long as it mirrors a player I think it's a unique idea.

#

I was just thinking with it doing the opposite of you, it means you can accidently run into it.

tame oxide

Oh yeah peepoGiggles

long schooner

I'm thinking, backing away from a coilhead and bam dead because the mirror is backing into you.. and likewise

#

Your running from whatever.. and suddenly you run into it because its heading towards you, the problem is walls.

#

Walls could make it "interesting" but likewise could make it useless.

Oh I see I was totally misunderstanding it and came from a different angle lol

long schooner

Nah I just meant if your looking south, it would be looking north

there is no way someone thought the exact same idea as me omg

#

though the model i thought was of a man-like owl that when you get close it locks on you and doesn't stop looking directly at you, if you would get behind him it would move his entire face like upside down, still looking directly at you, like the owls do

#

still i can't believe i had the same exact idea as another human being benice

#

i had this idea in my head since early 2024 and i wrote about it in a notepad in my phone

Me getting completely lost as the mirrors consume the entire interior:
