A silly lil mod to allow you to force DustClouds onto moons that don't have it enabled by default, meant for use with WeatherRegistry. Only very few modded moons have DustClouds as a weather by default, and no vanilla moons. Adding them to the whitelist on WeatherRegistry doesn't do anything since this just toggles the weather if it IS on the list, whereas this mod forcefully adds it to the moon.
Note this mod doesnt guarantee that DustClouds will work well on the moon, its up to the moon dev to make compat with the weather themselves if THEY want to!
I just wanted this for fun to experiment to see what happens when its added, and for use in my modpack. Almost all of the patch was done by @timber ibex ChenWave

When people think of Lethal Company’s unused content, the Dustclouds weather isn’t usually brought up

#

I’m happy that this mod restores it, I love the Dustclouds weather aesthetically

#

Thank you

Awesome nice
Honestly, how well it works on moons and stuff idk
Hell, it might be broken and literally do nothing on any moons that arent custom ones that add it themselves

#

would need to test more

#

all i know is that it does technically add the weather to the moon to be used

#

From this though i did learn from mrov how to add literally any weather to moon, as well as adjust parameters for weathers like what height flooded goes to, or what direction it floods etc.
You could add Flooded to Titan for example or other cursed stuff
Tho messing with that stuff can obviously lead to issues, especially adding weathers to moons that really werent designed with it in mind, like the Titan Flooded example
Dunno, might think about it in the future

I do recommend checking the "warning" section of the modpage/readme

Ngl that weird 6 or 7 weather thing would be an awesome idea. Some kind of mystical or glitchy weather considering what it was

#

Also

#

Can I put like All:100 or like Custom:100 on the Dusted config?

#

Or do I need to manually do every moon name?

AFAIK it uses Registry's resolvers, it should work

Oops forgor to check Cri2

fallen nebula
#

you should probably make it so that the vanilla moons are automatically on the config list

jagged coyote
#

I proly should yeah

What moons is this known to work with?

any iirc?

Which to me is weird because I'm not sure I see the utility of this mod if the mod dev has to add compatibility with dust clouds. Then wouldn't the mod dev also add dust clouds to his moon by himself while doing that?

that just means that it might not work as intended

#

but it doesn't mean it wouldn't work from what I can gather

broken spade
#

From what I have seen, dusted works on all moons

#

It's kinda hard to notice though

jagged coyote
#

Yeah, this is right
I wasnt sure if moon devs needed to set anything up specifically for it to work
Though i wouldnt be surprised if the fog effect stays close to the ground, meaning it might not work properly on some very vertical moons outside of those pit areas

I thought experimentation had dust clouds plink

jagged coyote
#

Its like saying March has Rainy because it already has quicksand
Or Rend already has fog
Actually applying the weather there is different, especially for stuff like WeatherReg scrap multipliers, weather to weather weights etc.

Is this broken in v70?

shouldn't be

Tested properly, and yeah it works fine
If the Dust Clouds are now suddenly dissapearing from people going in/out of the facility, i suspect they either don't have sciencebird tweaks, or its just the "rolling fog" effect where it periodically appears and dissapears anyways
