not every moon has a collider right in the immediate front of main, and if someone makes a main right over a bottomless pit, the teleporter would be pointless.
while you could go the random placement route, if a moon doesnt have its collisions up to snuff, there'd be spawn problems, and potentially/subsequently scene loading halts
also,not every moon is cruiser friendly

with like square spiral staircases leading up to the brim of the second floor

honestly crawlspace vents as "hallways" to connect between some areas sounds like a based idea - until you need to get away from a thumper and you're stuck at crouch speed inside

sorta relates to this idea, what about a big tile thats over a pit or pool of acid or something wheres theres functional conveyor belts you do parkour on, for obstacles there can be fans that turn on and off or maybe something on the roof that periodically spits fire. kinda like the factory level from the upturned

I played like 15 different interiors and Storage is easily one of the best by far IMO
Feels comfy and right at home, fits the vibe of the game perfectly

storage complex is great ^^ its not too open or too sparsely filled with loot, but also not super condensed and lootspammed - strikes a really good balance that (to me) feels in line with the vanilla Facility interior

Yeah an overall orange haze with blinking warning lights for actually dangerous key areas could work
green for radioactive along with maybe some (occasional so its not obnixious) geiger clicking as ambience?
i'd say have the lighting extra orange? like eclipse orange. also, a general red fog (not volumetric) would probably be good (0-e does this and it helps alot from what i can tell)
maybe also a very subtle warbling effect on the player's screen like a heatwave if that's possible
maybe pipes occasionally releasing little bursts of steam (not the vision blocking hazard)
Or fire, with a valve to turn it off on one side ?
You could run through it in an emergency but itll nearly kill you, but maybe let you get away from something chasing you (enemies might be inclined to not path through it?)

id lower the height of it and make it a bit lighter

I don't think fog fits the hot interior variant, maybe steam or like heatwave particles would be better
Also if you use the 3D noise texture from fog on Rend and decrease the scrolling speed severely it will look like it's slightly moving and will make it more natural, since there are fans and some air movement 
just adjust the offset so that the part of the texture with the swirly fog is right on the floor level

Extracting scrap from inside the map would be a bit of a weird thing in regards to how it would work and be balanced so i think its a decent compromise
repo is funny though, but the devs urgently need to ditch that horrid
banner though, makes the game look like a badly made joke asset flip on first glance which just gives it a bad first impression

I want to add extra cold/hot variants for wall blockers, add propsets for the ice spikes and heat pipes, add new heat vents with vfx and more
additionally i would add a whole new type of propset for the 2x2 tile in the form of mini parking garages

Hey Beanie, question for ya; I'm currently trying out your moons properly for the first time since ive been wanting to add them to my group's pack for a while now and we love the storage complex, so with your upcoming new interior its only right to try the moons too.
I noticed that your moons don't have in-game video previews - is this something you have considered adding to your moons at some point?
For some context we're currently running Distinct Moons (which has video previews for all but one moon), and also Orbits which adds previews to all Vanilla moons - so this would be really nifty for consistency and also immersion ^^
alot of the vanilla moons dont have them, and they add a bit to file size so i dont really feel the need to

symbiosis also has a route to main specifcally for cruiser use
no jump required
but the jumps help speed wise

also sidenote the vanilla elevator music caught me off guard since we usually run a sound replacement, but i think its a welcome diversion and makes those elevators unique in our case so, very cool

Okay so i did some quick digging on my own and I think i might know whats going on:
it seems you have no LLL tags on your moons (so e.g. Free, Paid, Tundra, Valley, Canyon, Rocky, Amethyst, etc.) for registry to actually pick up on other than "Custom"
Absolutely something you should look into, LLL tags are pretty important for LLL moons
desperation has a tag
so does reign
let me check
id know cus i tested the new interior on them and the dynamic tags worked
although i mighta set em up wrong so it only works with the interior
ok yeah just checked, reign has Tundra and Custom
So im curious what causes this because the other modded moons i got from distinct moons work fine with all weathers, including those from lethal elements
the only immediate difference i can see is no Paid / Free LLL tag, but i kinda doubt thats the issue

Update: setting weather registry to ignore weights and use the vanilla algorithm for picking random weathers for random moons seems to let your moons have weathers now.
So this seems to be some kind of weight or tagging issue in the end, will ask mrov what he thinks.
Im pretty sure the error i posted above relates to the moons not having correct moon weather weights, but from what i know that should just cause weather registry to assign the default weights, which it seems to not do and instead it just sets weather to none.

it actually shows these before it gets set to to None, so clearly it does have possible weathers to pick from, and it just doesnt. You can tell Veld & nephrite shouldn't have weathers because those ones there are mod-added from Mrov Weathers and Lethal Elements. Will fwd to mrov now.
as long as you make it known in the title and description of the mod that it's a WIP I think this thread could be used for bug reports and fixes before the final 1.0 update of the interior
you shouldn't be worried about "putting out slop" because everyone in this server trusts your quality and we know it's going to be fully updated anyways
And yeah same, i wouldn't mind testing. Pubbing before 1.0 to get feedback and bug reports in isnt a bad idea - it means your 1.0 will likely have less bugs or weird issues
also btw beanie i did notice that for some reason, desperation is the only moon thats listed with a - (or without a space) in its name in various logs and configs

this is what they do when roaming - if they have LOS to a targetable player/enemy within that ball, it switches to the searchlight mode
which then has a standard "search cone" from their head
that ball search is likely whats being referred to here, as that does originate height-wise between the legs
but its offset forward for some reason to "emulate" them seeing with their eyes and not being able to stare directly down infront of them
here it is with the search cone once you get spotted in the ball
