The AEIOU voice is painful to hear and sometime hard to understand. Also lags the game every time it's used.

This version is way more stable and better volume control. You also can set the voice you want via config instead of always having to type the command with your sentence.

Configs are also applied in real time.

Plus we mainly wanted the TTS voice from Critts Takey ALOO doll specifically cause their TTS with twitch integration was so well done and smooth and the female voice was perfect.

You can press Windows Key + R and paste this text into the Run box. That will open the config file

I've gotten a lot of requests to make the config settings global because the settings are mainly per user preference like the text-to-speech voice you want to have speak, the master volume + volume of individual voices, and other settings. It wouldn't make sense to have the settings carry over with modpacks and mod codes since you would have to adjust your settings each time you downlaod the new modpack or import the new code.

One thing to note, is there is now a pretty noticeable several-second delay between the text message and TTS
Sometimes around 5s before the TTS comes out
I remember there being a delay before but not as much as now
Unsure if thats a known thing with this new version, or maybe is case-by-case related to lobby size / connection / memory usage etc.

It's due to the change up in API's and how it relays the message I think, the benefit is you should no longer run into the issue where it simply just doesn't play the voices at times or it just does a small sound and cuts off if I'm correct

The APIs for the TTS does take a little bit longer than before, but it's free. And, only the speaking player makes the API call now, so it depends on their internet, but should still be quick. Then the speaking player needs to stream the audio data to the host and then the host streams it back to all the clients. The TTS doesn't play until all clients receive the audio clip. Another thing is the APIs require two requests one after another which adds to the delay. There's nothing I could really do to speed it up.

I have also noticed that the TikTok - Jessie TTS voice does take a bit longer than the others
