Hi hi! I wanted to confirm something, I was told previously that wider ship config does not work with 2storyship and [not to use 2story ship](#1279117315941732443 message). Earlier this week someone told me that the two mods are compatible so I'm confused. It's been a month since I was told that the two configs don't work together so things could have changed since then 🙂 Is it that they don't really work well together or something else?
the mods were compatible from the start, it's just that the wider ship config doesn't work (and shouldn't) when a 2-story ship is installed

You can use LethalPipeRemoval, which is another mod on thunderstore
if you use melanie melicious's 2 story ship, theres a config to position the door buttons

ive already done stuff like this before for chameleon and rebalanced moons so im already pretty familiar with doing scene modifications like this its pretty simple
might be an issue tho since its a combined mesh since you cant move those; in that case i believe this change would require a small assetbundle to replace the mesh with the standalone guidelight pole mesh

I'm having an issue with the poster's cropping incorrectly when using Lethal Posters with the wider ship mod. I am also using the ship windows mod and i have tried playing around with the configs but nothing seems to work. Has anyone else encountered this?
Have two minor issues to report real quick:
First one I think you are aware, is that the light switch likes to float in the air when the left side is expanded, idk if you could move it to the beam on the wall or near the monitor/speaker, usually I tend to install furniture lock just to snap it into place
Not a big deal to manually adjust it when I load, but still
The other one is that when the ship is set to only extend the right wall (looking at the door), there seems to be missing something on the left wall behind the terminal
Touching that wall makes me snap back into the ship, acts like I was getting outside of the ship bounds and teleports me back in

Howdy. Sorry if this has been brought up here before, but I'm having lag spike issues with this mod (I've tried looking around to see if anyone else has had this problem, but Discord's search function is pretty bad). Whenever I walk along the side of the ship, there's a very noticeable lag spike whenever I get near the ladder. This gets even worse/more noticeable with the 2 story ship mod (to the point where all the perimeters of the ship - besides the direct front and back - cause lag when walking in them).
I've narrowed it down to another mod being the issue, since the wider ship seems to work fine on its own (and even with 2 story ship). The problem is I'm not sure which mod is causing it. Currently I'm going through the process of turning a bunch off, running the game, then seeing if it helped. But I figured I'd bring this up here to see if anyone else has had this sort of issue and might be able to point me in the right direction.
there were people who claimed that there were lag spikes near some walls but I was never able to reproduce it and there were very few such people

Huh, I see. Well, I'll keep disabling mods to see if I can narrow it down, then. Because it definitely works with just wider ship and 2 story. It's just that something in my current combination of mods is making it act weird.

Hey I'm having the same issue. Have you figured out anything yet? The only thing I've noticed is the more mods that are added (which is 95% Lethal Level Loader dependent mods [aka moon/interior mods]), the laggier it becomes in specifically the perimeter of the ship. Disabling wider ship completely gets rid of the lag.
While I never really pinpointed why this happened (outside of just having too many mods), I did find a way to cull the lag with DiFFoZ's Lethal Performance mod. Getting that seemed to eliminate the lag for the most part, so hopefully that helps you out as well.

This might be a silly question, but: Do Poster mods usually work with WSM? I haven't been able to make them appear. I appreciate it might just be impossible because of the novel wall placement, but thought I read something about compatibility 😅

When using Right Extended side, player is being teleported back to the center of the ship when going to the left side window. Maybe ShipInnerRoomBoundsTrigger is not big enough? Using only WiderShipMod and ShipWindows

How does the "Extended Side" item in the config file work, exactly? I've been experiencing lag when walking along the sides of the ship, as well, and I figured I'd try to reduce the size of the ship with the mod to see if it is the extensions causing it, since that was the first guess.
I'm using the 2-Story Ship Mod as well, and Extended Side = Left doesn't seem to do anything, while Extended Side = Right only removes the wall behind the jumpsuits. Extended Side = Both leaves the wall behind the jumpsuits.
I didn't add left and right config compat from WS, to 2SS

Mind you, ShipWindows itself was one of the single largest bug causers for 4 months solid.

been doing some testing, and for some reason, only Wider Ship (by itself) seems incompatible with my RV Cruiser. So the main problem seems to be in the patches done without 2-story.
Works fine with 2-story + wider.
not really sure what's happening at the moment, but the cruiser is affected in a way that doesn't let me reference it the same way I do without Wider Ship
I don't touch the cruiser code

Basically, my script tries to spawn something using a part of the cruiser for position, but somehow with WS enabled, it can't find it anymore

Very low chance of lethal tonight. Sort of want to take a small break to spend time on the v70 mod pack as things are updating. Im upset over the update cause I had just returned back to lethal and put a lot of effort into the pack and major balance changes for lgu and got it in a really good spot. Then the update hits and nuked the entire pack

Yes the one cupboard was vanilla that they were interacting with. You were correct i used ship colors. What exactly is the bug? Would i be correct to assume it has to do with the vanilla cupboard and can be avoided by not using it? I currently use the self sorting one from Zigzag, the wide one from Mel and the vanilla one. So I've got more than enough options to use instead.
wdym its still working, for me the walls of the default ship keep loading in so i cant get to said wider parts, they are basically boxed in. maybe conflicts, let me just boot this mod alone and see what happens. update that fixed it...
ok yeah, its shipwindows that fucks it up, even if you disable the side windows in config, the moment you buy the floor window it regenerates the model for the default ship
thats cause ship windows uses testaccount core and thats broke at the moment.

Hey, for some odd reasoon when standing on the railings of the wider ship the game lags out a LOT! have this mod on with the 2 story ship and the futurnature mod (as well as a lot of other mods) any clue why it's lagging so much? spesificly on the railings?

does anybody have any crazy frame drops when standing in this specific area? frames drop to like 30 then 10 then 5 for everybody on the server if anybody stands here. we've uninstalled wider ship mod and it's fine without so my uneducated mind thinks it's something to do with it?

rexuvination should help too, also turn on the experimental config in reverbtriggerfix since for some reason its still not a default

Hello guys, I wanted to ask if there is any issues in using these mods all together:
- ShipWindows (TestAccount666)
- Celestial Tint (sfdesat)
- Wider Ship (mborsh)
- 2 Story Ship (MelanieMelicious)
Are they all usable in v73 of the game?
Is it okay to use "GeneralImprovements (ShaosilGaming) - mod" and "Lategameupgrades (malco) - mod" with all these?
What I am mainly worried about is compatibility with v73 of main game, compatibility between them and lastly if I have to add "Mattyfixes mod" anyway if I already have "GeneralImprovements" which fixes some things/bugs of the game already. (To not talk about the other fixes mods like.. "lethalfixes", which I will probably include)

It can be very performance heavy on clients in your game. I also recall issues in the past with celestial tint and pulled it.
Also not sure if it was fixed yet but land from orbit wasnt playing nice with the ship mods either.
Thats a @supple summit question though cause they informed me of the issue with land from orbit.
Celestial Tint and ShipWindows can harm performance
So, as an update after a few hours of playing in duo with a friend, I can say that the mods seems to all work together. There are a few drops and micro-stutter sometimes for me, and not my friend. (But that has to do with the fact that I play from a "gaming" laptop with a RTX 3060 and temps always reach 94+° for the CPU, meanwhile my friend has a new full desktop pc with a RTX 4070 SUPER and he has no problems of performance)
The only mod that doesn't really work right now is "ShipInventory" by WarperSan
(I forgot to add that I did get some good performance mods, such a CullFactory and LethalPerformance, and LethalFixes, so that might help)
Clients with better pcs will be fine but anyone who joins ya with a lower end pc may experience worse stutters and make their gameplay not so fun. I have a couple of players in my lobbies that if I add those mods the ship drops to less than 10 fps for them and they can barely play. Plus my lobbies tend to be 10 plus players so that factors in too. If you're playing with a small group and have no problems then all is good.
Your best bet is have your friend host and you test as client so you can experience first hand what it feels like performance wise.
Regarding your last sentence, "ShipInventoryUpdated" by LethalCompanyModding replaces "ShipInventory"

LandFromOrbit wasn't fixed no, and seeing as it's a mostly cosmetic mod it isn't really necessary imo

Let me add some clarity here. When we tested we believed it was due to the combo of both Open Body cams AND ship Windows. Removal of Ship Windows improved beefs performance tremendously while we were experimenting and finding what was dropping frames on the ship for clients. I cant recall if we tried Ship windows with out open body cams to see if it improved or not cause it was a couple months ago we discovered this. But sadly when given a choice between the two mods Open Body Cams has a better purpose 😕 but I can tell you for certain its the combination of the two mods that killed frames and thats what im seeing not mention by @white robin im disappointed in you son, you left out important information lol.

And Open Body cams alone ran smoothly for ya. I cant remember how Ship windows ran without open body cams installed. We would have to run more stress tests again and check the combo of the two.

I've been optimizing the pack though and you also have to keep in mind mod count doesn't necessarily mean too many mods, majority of the mods in my pack are dependencies and bug fixes

I also just recently rooted out the performance issues by resetting a bunch of configs and pulling some stuff

Pulling Wesley's helped a ton with the import times at least I love his stuff but he does undoubtedly have so many moons now and when not doing progression it makes sense to not include them all
Funny enough I finally got my pack running so smooth with Wesleys stuff. Mod count can contribute Lunxara, you gotta remember even when a 1 mod only contributes a small percentage of performance loss running multiple will make that add up quick for people with lower end PCs. Thats why I cut stuff that really isn't about gameplay. Lets be honest with ourselves you have a weak spot for anything involving decoracting the ship whether it furniture or other stuff lol. Its not bad, my players loved it too, but they love better performance more and they seem to enjoy the lobbies more without all this things now since it runs better.
My pack runs smooth with his stuff as well we had it all during the last session where I fixed our performance but I was suggested to pull the moons pack because of how long it makes import times and how R2 always fails to download it whenever he pushes an update since some people in my group can't use Gale
Thats weird. What issues are they having with Gale? I've had a couple people struggle to download it but managed to figure it out.
It just doesn't work for them for some reason, I was never able to help them diagnose it

it used to plummet all the way down to like 5fps but now its closer to a 50% drop

If you have Ship Windows it's because of Interactive Terminal API's update, you will need to disable Ship Windows for now

uhhh, we did a thing for the April Fool's where we switched thread names. If you actually did mean Wider Ship, it should. If you mean 2-story ship or pocket rooms, both of which updated after v80, both should work on both v73 and v80. Though in pocket room's case, you would need to downgrade DawnLib to 0.8.16. Pocket room library's newest version on the other hand, should also be fine on both
