i found a modded moon called maritopia that has a bunch of ruined buildings over a giant ocean and i tried putting ogopogos in it but they spawn/clip/target through the buildings its over
its horrifying with them in that moon lmao

this is not a moon maker issue, while it can be helped by moon makers, the responsibility does not fall on them
well if the water planes are under the entire terrain it is a moon maker issue (and this is a case that is more frequent than you'd think)

I am of the opinion that it falls completely on the moon's developer whether Ogopogo works on their moon or not, but not in the way s1ckboy means
Ogopogo is designed to work with very specific moon layouts, even if we did get it to spawn properly and not clip thru things it'd be super annoying
It's not meant to be on most moons, it's supposed to enrich the moon's layout, but the layout has to also work in tandem with the entity
I wouldn't put Ogopogo on Maritopia even if it didn't clip thru cuz there's water literally everywhere constantly undee the player

The problem comes in saying stuff like (and I'm Paraphrasing here) that it's the moons responsibility for the enemy to successfully spawn in their water if it exists
well, it is up to them entirely if they want to add compatability

nope, there's a chance they'll spawn in the same place if the moon operates via "spots"
I don't really recommend increasing their cap though, sounds like an easy way to make the moon unplayable

there's a few desync-related issues in the current version with the "Prototax" enemy, where its sound effects are global sometimes.
Should be fixed next version
and there's an issue with an unimplemented enemy showing you, you can disable it in the config by going to the mod's main config and disabling "WaxSoldier Handler"
other than that, no big issues have been reported

I have landed about 12 times in March, 6 in Adamance and 11 in Vow. The Ogopogo has not appeared at any time. The other creatures do appear, but not Ogo.
Please tell me what settings I should apply so that the Ogopogo always appears.
You could increase its weight on March and Vow. More weight = more likely to spawn

if you want the ogo to always appear you could just increase its weight on those moons

i think the weights are too low, especially if you have other modded creatures with much higher weights eating it all up
If you use something like LQ you can compare the weights across different enemies and balance it better
they are intended for vanilla, so yeah they're low

on distinct's forest moon there's nowhere to run basically
I haven't played it for a hot minute but I remember it being right next to the bridge next to the main entrance lol
it's p much just on that big lake behind main and the other fire exits
which means you can kinda just go around it in most cases

most custom moons do their water by just putting a big square of water that goes under the whole map

Oh yeah, another issue with prototaxes is that their spore releasing sfx is global. I've had a very annoying instance with this where I assume an eyeless dog was stuck infinitely attacking a prototax, causing their spore releasing sfx to be infinitely spammed.
