Better Player Audio

This mod is in an early stage and is my first lethal company mod, expect bugs

Current Features:

  • Displays each players voice volume as a percentage

  • Saves every players volume level based on their steam id so you only need to set it once

Planned Features:

  • MoreCompany compatibility

  • Decouple master volume from voice chat volume

  • Master voice chat volume slider

  • Volume boosting over 100%

Current Issues:

  • This mod is not compatible with MoreCompany, I will work on compatability for it in a future version

Morecompany has an issue when a player joins/leaves the lobby everyones voice sets back to default

So if your mod would fix that that would be lovely 👀

Could you also fix the morecompany issue of disabling tzp voice filters? if it's even possible to do

It would be nice if there was an option to add a LIGHT amount of noise-cancelling, as a lot of people play LC with open mics and some mics have a lot of background noise, keystroke sounds, etc

I don't know if that would really be possible without using something like Krisp

Yeah I actually primarily run with more company so I wanted to get compatibility working as fast as possible lol

more company compatability seems to be a bit bugged, working on a patch but until then I would suggest not using this with more company

I've been trying to fix MoreCompany pitch modification compatibility on my mod for a while now, do you have any insight on how to do it? I'll also do my best so that it's compatible with your mod cause it's sure to go in my modpack!

morecompany seems to reset the volumes the first time you open the quickmenu after a new player joins

im guessing once the quickmenu is open and it detects a new player it sets default audio but mistakenly resets all players

not entirely sure but thats what I've seemingly found so far

yeah any time it updates the menu manager i assume

my solution was to store player audio values based on their steam IDs, and then just update them all when you open the menu after morecompany does its thing

In my modpack, the radar screen shows "Player #0" or 1 etc instead of the name. This persists in multiplayer. Radar boosters work fine.
(Not sure what mod adds my name to the radar in singleplayer... Vanilla just shows "Player" in singleplayer right?)
When I test with only your mod it shows "Player".

after seeing this im wondering if morecompany is the cause of host getting player audio being something like 200% after restarting lobby? or is this a known issue with another mod/vanilla? for me if i restart lobby, players in the lobby will be super loud and i have to bring the volume slider down to near 0, I've never tried restarting lobby again, i normally just restart my game

Yeah I’ve just been kind of busy and also have been taking a bit of a break from lethal

I’m gonna take the mod down from thunderstore until it’s fixed, don’t want to be causing any issues
