I dunno, maybe we ought to test a bit further to see how many different Apparatuses there can be.
I only explored one floor because my friend was an idiot and fell down the elevator shaft.
Next chance I get, I will post a screenshot of the App when it's orange.
I'll do the same when I find a zeranos facility apparatus
mod is lowkey coolio but the mobs spawn instantly so more often than not we just get spawn camped by a thumper or bracken :/
also the items just dissapear from the ground which just makes it a cool concept but a bit unusable

The orange App I had would go dim in the elevator when heading back up for me.
Okay so I did find an orange apparatus but it dissappeared going to the next floor. It just vanished after the elevator went down

Hey, just tried Zeranos with a friend. Our flashlights ran out pretty quickly and left us in pitch darkness. This is never a problem on vanilla moons since we're used to playing without flashlights anyway (as we can loot more efficiently without one) but in this case we literally couldn't see anything and could not navigate back because there was complete darkness in all directions - even turning up gamma did not make a single pixel visible.
I understand that you want the elevator to look a certain way, but it is severely punishing when flashlights run out of battery and it makes the risk / reward trade-off for non-flashlight players way too unbalanced IMO. Is it possible there could be an option in the config files to re-enable the player light? I really love the concept for this moon and want to play it more.

the only thing thats stopped me from using zeranos is the zeranos facility performs really bad for me for some reason
if it picks a different interior to use thats compatible with zeranos (dreary pipeworks or niven reactor) its fine, but zeranos facility is really laggy
I guess this is the excuse I needed to get Dreary Pipeworks
At this rate, I'll have as many interiors as I have moons
A quick fix would be to get the Battery mod that allows you to configure the battery life of the most commonly used power tools
That could be a temporary workaround, yea. Ideally we wouldn't have to carry a flashlight, though. Plus it'll change the balance of the game if we end up playing on other moons and not JUST Zeranos.

For Zeranos its telling me I'm not using the Facility interior even though I went and changed the weight so it'd always be the interior

You mean the Zeranos-specific facility or the default Vanilla facility? Also make sure you check the box in config to be sure that it's enabled for configuration.

This might be the correct log but I had a flashlight just dissappear from my hand upon returning to the ship and taking off. We was at zeranos. I think it has something to do with the elevator because the only other time this happens (it's rare) was with the lc office interior elevator
It also makes the orange apparatuses dissappear

I can see why the apparatuses could be a simple problem but like the flashlight thing definitely happened I'm pretty sure. I might've had it in the elevator storage, retrieved it, went back to ship and someone else pulled the lever. When we went into space, my flashlight was still in my hotbar but wasn't visible in my hand nor usable. When I picked up an item over the flashlight, the flashlight icon in my inventory dissappeared and got replaced with what I picked up
I recall something identical with the lc office elevator and heard someone mentioning items dissappearing about a week ago but they could've just be talking about the apparatuses

how do I add interiors to zeranos?
you can use LLL to set an interior to spawn there, but it can only be interiors that have explicit support for zeranos
I'm currently using lethal quantities
aside from zeranos interior i think the only 2 that support it are some of demonmae's
it would be the same as adding an interior to any other moon, idk how bcus i don't use LQ
just don't add interiors that don't support zeranos

for a custom appy to be saved, renaming it is part of the process, so if it's just called "Apparatus", it'll be lost on save reload

for a new experience
it’s called LC Verdit and what it does is
you install only the mod and it changes all the game mechanics completely
just for the new experience
for example there won’t be default planets or even the ship

How does other modded interiors work? When I get a demonmae interior on zeranos, I will keep getting that same interior the lower I go. Is it not possible to get different interiors that are compatible? Also, I don't know if it's a demonmae issue or zeranos but demonmae interiors on zeranos moon have fire exits

It seems to be only demonmae's interiors. I'm pretty sure I mentioned it, I'm sure they'll get to it eventually. I wish there was a way to get multiple interiors, the same interior over and over is a headache lol. Still cool though

Psst, just a random question. Just discovered Zeranos Moon with a few friends and played on it a bunch, but we noticed that anyone (but host?) bugs out and desynchronizes the moment they drop fuel, till they rejoin in fact. I wonder if there's anything known about it?
Pretty sure I had the same issue last time I modded items into the game, but I'm uncertain what exact setting fixed it. I belieeeve it's one of the 4 (or all?) Netcode settings in the item's scriptable object that I had to disable, but I'm uncertain what the implications of what are in this case

What causes Zeranos to run at such a lower framerate? I know there's a lot going on here, but it dips quite substantially until I take the elevator deep.
Wondering where I can make optimizations via other mods. I'm guessing the fog is playing a role.
All I can think of is that the moon itself is pretty huge and has a few particle effect areas that might affect fps

Hey so uh I kept getting an error when I load into Zeranos saying that "ZeranosInterior is not loaded, so moon will no function correctly" stuff like that. Is there a way for me to make it where it ONLY loads in the ZeranosInterior for that moon only?
I have modded interiors in my custom made modpack, but I don't want the other modded interiors to be on Zeranos if Zeranos is a coin flip on whether it even functions or not.
Set zeranosinterior to 9999 for zeranos in LLL config
If you have any interior using dynamic weight, it might be trying to add those

if it still doesnt work i suggest you go to the terminal, type simulate zeranos
and whatever other interior turns up, go there, then add zeranos:0
this works if the interior has a manual weight for zeranos
dynamic tag weights are additive
so setting zeranos:0 won't do anything if there's a dynamic weight for one of zeranos' LLL tags

I get that's the point of the moon, to have these gimmicks, but Kite makes good enough maps as is to where I can enjoy it just by the outside layout
We were able to play it fine other than not getting into orbit due to (probably) code rebirth
I always hated how little time you get from base maps anyway. I like it

Like, it is an interesting concept, but not being allowed to do real teamwork because kekw was not fun for the majority of us.
especially when it favors an interior with like, 10+ instant death traps that only experienced players would recognize fast enough.

which again, is a REALLY neat concept but most inexperienced players (eg. all but one of the people I play with) die within the first like 3-5 minutes of it, if they even made it inside on cosmo
well hopefully it gets to a more stable state, I really like the idea behind this map a ton. Going deeper to get better loot and find more danger and stuff is awesome

I recommend checking its config and disabling the instakill doors and other gimmicks

for vacuity at least it still works 99%
the only problem i know with vacuity is that the first time you go down the elevator, the main entrance area is super dark, but if you're coming out of main its suddenly brighter
i'm assuming that the darkness is intended, and just that there's a missing trigger or something for coming out of main

why not apparatuses for the fuel source and the gas for like the same thing except the gas isn't as effective
like keep the main focus on the main orange apps but when in a pinch use a gas canister
and just make gas canisters less common so the main focus will be the apps

By chance, will Zeranos clock ever come to other moons? Like to be able to stay all night and all day. (like a separate mod for itself)
It wouldn't make sense to have this seperate. If you could stay all day, then eventually the moon will just have no scrap and everyone would just wander around. Though there probably is a similar mod somewhere, trust me, the game wouldn't feel as fun with it
Fair point. Having infinite time to limited scrap on one moon would make it less fun.

My bug test of zeranos is it really felt like the blood moon wasn't as apparent outside. I remember it used to like have heavy red rain but it looks duller and the rain is scarce

shit's gonne be lit after i manage to get the zeranos custom interior feature working on a vanilla mansion copy.
the flow generates, will just take a lil while to find out how i implement zeranos support
had to work out a lot of texture quirks but its hard to tell any difference between the copy and vanilla

it would not even differ from mansion in how it's setup
the only difference is that the entrance never spawns on different positions, only on their original ones
which sounds like a good compromise

while testing, i found out that zeekers fixed the friendly slime thingy

when using lethalmin, the pikmin outright refuse to stay on the elevator (when its on a floor)

while it moves, pikmin i throw on stay on the platform (kind of), but asoon as it reaches a floor, they dissapear from the elevator and i can't throw them inside
they just tp infront of the elevator
same for a maneater, can't drop them into it
i think i just found the issue, your elevator has this thing i see using a mod, but it doesnt reach far in enough to connect to the entrance tile
still doesnt work, after i tweaked the elevator positioning

they can "try" to navigate to the elevator, but they wont tp over, the pikmin see the connection but they somehow cant use it
the navmesh generates over the elevator
its not completely broken, pikmin cant go on but can somehow deposit items onto the elevator, including dead bodies
pikmin tp into the elevator on the surface + they return to it after you resurface
and monster not getting in isn't that troublesome
still annoying as hell

which for something registered with LLL is the first time i've heard of it
i believe it's normal scrap spawning method
since it has a spawn weight only for this moon
