can anyone help me with vacuity? It says reset mod save game on config and idk what it should be on
if you want to reset the cutscene saves you have to write 1 there and restart the game and set it to 0 back

the cutscenes naturally progress in a loop but you can either reset it to the first one with that config or you can lock it to one cutscene specifically

endless interiors and overnight time will probably just be part of zeranos, would be hard to release as its own thing because no moon except this one is built for the mechanics

Will Zeranos' interiors be able to generate apparatuses? And if they do will it have compat with FacilityMeltdown? Since this moon doesn't have the traditional entrance doors it might not behave well with meltdown, so it might be a good idea to disable it for this moon specifically

That only makes them able to activate items
It doesn't let them grab ungrabbable items
But you only asked about rocking them, not picking them up
Yes, but rocking them requires them to pick them up.
If you make a mod that lets the bugs pick up the Maneater, then rocking them should be possible with the use items mod
They help me locate the exit until they die.
it doesnt seem like hoarding bugs would be able to rock them with symbiosis

You're trying to line up an elevator from the moon with the interior that spawns way below the map, right?
Basically my new upcoming moon is named 7510 Zeranos which is an endless moon with day night cycle and an elevator instead of main entrance or fire exits, you enter the facility via this elevator with limited fuel. You go deeper and deeper and each floor is a new tiles
How do you manage to get the day/night cycle working without triggering the ship leaving?
And how do you get enemies to spawn based on time if it goes back to day after night?
Enemies spawn normally and that’s it
So after one cycle, the enemies just stay there?
I patched it so only on my moon there will be day night cycle and ship won’t leave the moon
So basically, endless moon with endless interior
Something tells me that might bug out some people's games later and screw people over.
Since It’s still WIP, for now yeah. But I have to make my own enemy spawning system for outside enemies

I’ve been working on day night cycle mod and this moon since September or August I think
So I still test them everyday when working
This sounds like an interesting concept for a mod, and I can tell that Synthesis was a prototype concept for the elevator thing, but I still have issue with the Apparatus and why it was implemented if you just plan on locking people out from taking it with them and using the Fire Exit.
And also this moon includes custom scraps, weathers, ambient music and sounds, lore and etc
There was a discussion about that and I will fix these issues on the new Synthesis and Vacuity updates
For Vacuity moon I have to fix some gameplay issues
Cuz if you couldn't tell by my nickname, I like collecting them and if I can't take one home, I don't see why it even exists.
Well, you could take the apparatus with you (before).
I have removed that functionality because there was several people collecting them just to fulfill their quota
And each apparatus cost around 200-300 credits
In that case, I'd make them cheaper so they can't use it to make money.
But it offers an interesting Fire Exit dynamic.
We resolved that issue by just destroying apparatus after ship leaves the moon
The interior and Fire Exit dynamic becomes even more interesting when you use the Grand Armory by Wesley.
I didn’t played any Wesley moons so I don’t know 🤷♂️
As an Apparatus collector, I am ashamed of you.
But still, currently I am working and focused only on Zeranos moon

Question so from my understanding the elevator will go down and boom new interior generated. In the future, do you think it's possible it will go to an interior that is installed in a modpack? Like once I go down normal facility, but then go down and then I'm at Toy Store. Even further down it could be a Oneshot interior.

I don't think it's gonna work like that. Zeranos must have its own interior to accomodate the unique entrance method.

I think it at the very least makes jetpack gameplay a lil interesting cuz you can have people go to the elevator entrance while you jetpack there, put the app in for them and then go to the fire exit entrance

I remember you could also change something about the item itself to prevent it from costing 200-300 credits
I do agree synth is a lot simpler than vacuity, though it somewhat works in its favor
I honestly think that with the depth the moon costs it should 100% be the same cost or even more expensive than artifice, it would help switch up the lategam gameplay loop a looot

it's not supposed to just be helpful, it's supposed to be good or bad depending on the situation
since it drags you away it complicates leaving the facility but in an ideal situation it's a free heal

Some people have reported issues with Shrimp from LCOffice lately, but I haven't had any problems with Shrimp appearing on other interiors like Grand Armory. The only way I know that is because I encountered one that wanted to eat me, and succeeded in doing so...
It's theoretically possible that Shrimp will work just fine in Zeranos' interior.
Zeranos' interior shouldn't cause problems with any entity
Because for the most part it's facility with a few new rooms
The spawning mechanics will be slightly different because of generating a new flow on each floor but aside from that it shouldn't cause any issues
shrimp kinda just doesnt work for most people it seems, i dont think it has much to do with the interior
i sadly have had to leave him disabled for months now

specifically the way hazards spawn
I don't remember any of that from last time I found it. I just remember it being very small, despite having a "normal" size multiplier.

that was because they somehow included a duplicate of the vanilla facility in their mod or something like that

I had some issues with physics
because I thought Zeekers uses rigidbody physics for player but
no, player uses something called CharacterController
which isn't physics based
and when I enter my bus, player just pushes it down and uh
it moves slow or something
I forgot tbh
but the AI is omg, it was so cool.
maybe you could come back to the bus idea after zeranos is mostly done

I'm assuming that the current version is gonna cause some weird stuff to happen when you're riding the elevator down to the interior at the very least
unfortunately, making it support multiple dungeons (which I assume it would kinda need to support for this to work) is gonna take a very significant refactor, which could potentially be several weeks before I can get something out there, but I'm not sure how you're generating the dungeons, so I'm not sure if the culling would even activate
I guess we'll see, but CullFactory does assume a boundary between interior and exterior that cannot be seen through, so any items that aren't teleported into the interior bounds via the normal vanilla methods will not be considered to be inside and vice versa
that's just one way in which I can see it not working correctly
basically I would expect to see some lights from the moon, and any carries items also, to disappear when taking the elevator down
if I understand how this mod works anyway, from what I've seen from clips you have posted it shouldn't be using entrance teleports to go into and out of the dungeon?

and to spawn on a specific moon i think you only need to put the planet name
i dont really know much about content tags
i think the only stuff you need to use are level tags and planet names
