To be fair I don't really like cruiser specific moons for multiple simple reasons
It's unplayable (or hard to play) if you don't have the cruiser
The design is generally flat and thus not really interesting
This is why I love synthesis so much, besides the cool entrance you have a forest with multiples elevation changes and some holes that allows some direction choices (to avoid enemies for example)
The cruiser is of course usable on this moon if you go to the fire but not mandatory
But you'll definitely the new one

Generally, it's a random building on a massive moon terrain with a flat road that leads towards it

Yeah most cruiser-based moons are usually pretty, simple, and way too big
Some of the better Cruiser-based moons tbh are Stein's Zeimalt and PowerFull's Scallg
These two have roads of some sort that wind and take to different portions of the facility
Pinnacle is one of thr best cruiser maps imo
Pinnacle last I remember is just, way too big
Very big but it at least has a more challenging geometry than the average cruiser map

the little shack on Synthesis can be used to cheese the shy guy. Is this a problem with the door being too small or the shy guy having too large a collider?
Curious, is that problem also present on Adamance & Rend? (Those are the vanilla places where that shack asset appears in)
Could also check Vacuity and see if it makes it through the doorway for the building that leads to main
I'm suspecting it's the Shy Guy's collider being too large to fit through those doorways

"vanilla friendly" is a very stupid term. if someone made a vehicle mod before the zeekerss added the cruiser, people wouldn't say it's vanilla friendly. if it was made after v55, it would be inversed. its just so biased.
i would say the only "vanilla friendly" things would be the stuff zeekerss actually put into the game

The “gimmick” of the pack is that it’s meant to feel like an official overhaul/expansion update to the game, so I’m being pretty strict with my inclusions
And Vacuity’s cutscenes, while SO cool, don’t fit as well
But the "cutscenes" don't change the gameplay
I might end up adding it in at some point though

yeah cuz if you look at like the butler and then the eyeless dog they're not really stylistically consistent at all lol
the butler has locker-tier textures
there's definitely a degree of artstyle consistency but people throw the term around in any context and it loses all meaning
whats vanilla friendly and whats not is entirely subjective
and the vanilla is constantly changing as well
there's definitely different styles zeekers uses for his stuff, kidnapper fox and butler are super detailed while you have stuff like the barber and the dogs which are super simple

anything that's vanilla friendly to me is just stuff that doesn't go super ham with the style and theme and doesn't super break immersion

I wrote stupid code to it and elevator isn’t fully migrated to the LC’s elevator
Also I have to make apparatus easy to find
and make fire exit blocked until you enter main entrance
then make apparatus value to 0. I think that will be fair. Because there’s a people that just steals apparatus.

facility meltdown also affects the price of the apparatus, so it ends up being like 300 dollars xd

No, When you use those mods that extend the stay time, you skip one more day of the Quota (from 3 to 1 immediately), regardless of when you leave the moon

It seems that with the seasons update the planet tag has been changed to Blizzard, even though I have kept via config to just desert.
This causes the Chameleon mod, which adds new textures to the Mineshaft caves dependent to the planet tag to be ice even though the surface is desert.

Maskeds just clip through the ship floor when trying to path to it, and our enemy can't get on top of the ship (it needs to do so to function)

The fact you made the Apparatus spawns no longer random helps, if they were still random that change would have been horrible
Yeah, they have to spawn randomly but very near to the entrance
For now it’s disabled because of a bug
looks pretty, I love it!
I dislike fire exit being locked cuz it kind of makes the gameplay uber linear, esp since the random app position was taken out as well
atleast let us unlock it with a key or something 😔

I kinda hate the moon having that fetch quest everytime anyways and the blocking off of the fire exit made me not even wanna test the update but I tried it cus it was supposed to no longer have random spawn points
I like the moon from a design standpoint just don't like it gameplay wise
Now don't get me wrong this is just my criticism tbh, I like the Elevator, I like the moon and finding the Apparatus the first few times was cool but it ends up feeling like a chore after thats just not fun to do

Yeah especially since as I discovered it seems like the Apparatus can sometimes fail to spawn
I think the ideas CobaltDunlin and I threw around could be good for upkeeping the importance of the apparatus while satisfying the need for... replayability I guess?

Yeah the Appy Hunt for Synthesis in all honesty is my least favorite feature from there
I like how the moon's structured thus far, but being forced to have to go on a scavenger hunt just to even get into the interior is just plain annoying after like the first time or two
Something like having to operate the levers on Submersion to lower the water for main access is I think OK since it's quick and easy to understand (Plus if you have good enough platforming skills, you can access a fire exit early)
Cause iirc doesn't the light in front of main for Vacuity go out when the Apparatus is pulled or am I tripping?

My feedback is very much null and void, thank you for making it fixed cause I really disliked the whole like 10 random spots across the map thing
Little bit ??? that the fire exit is locked until Appy is placed but in a large group setting that's pretty workable tbh
I'm not opposed to SOME random spots (I mean Submersion does the same thing with its 2 water drain levers) but I think it being randomized in that room or pretty close to the elevator I think is a pretty reasonable little quirk

whenever a masked leaves the facility on vacuity they just go to this corner, stand there a few seconds then go back inside
then just kinda go into a loop of going inside, back out and standing in the corner, then back inside
they were bad and sent there
i would guess the navmeshes aren't set up to go anywhere beside that corner since most enemies can't use the elevator anyway. but since masks are already configured to use the mineshaft's elevator, and i assume vacuity's elevator uses the same script as vanilla (like synthesis), it probably wouldn't be too hard to make masks able to use that elevator
i also haven't asked @midnight sierra are masks able to use synthesis' elevator?
Figured it out, if a "Blackout" occurs in the respective interior, then the outside light isn't on either

I use custom scripts, not vanilla
since Synthesis released before mineshaft interiors
so when mineshaft came out did you just use part of it to make it work again when the elevator broke?
But ye here it is for reference, this happened when the Mansion interior was rolled
I used PlayerPhysicsRegion to make it work and it is used by vehicles
When the mineshaft version released I just updated my dll references for Synthesis scripts
and it worked lol

i did notice this after all the errors, did it play the normal ship landing animation instead of the custom one for vacuity?
cus this probably all happened during the moon's generation if it did revert to the original animation

Athough if a Cruiser is attached it does weird shit and slides onto the magnet while landing

the animation on Synthesis works just fine for me and i have widership. idk if it works on Vacuity because its just kinda hard to see the ground while landing there

If you need the Elevator and the Apparatus to go to the main entrance, but the Fire Exit gets locked until you activate it, why have an Apparatus at all?
Instead, why not just have it so the elevator is already active without an Apparatus?
Since the new update removes the ability to just cheese the mechanic by taking the fire exit, I find no point in there being an Apparatus if you're forced to activate it anyways.
And if my name is any indication of my intentions, then I would personally like to nab the Apparatus in exchange for not being able to enter from the front.
So it's either that or no Apparatus at all.

I would like a way to be able to keep the elevator apparatus if possible. Even though people could go through the fire exit instead, they had to find the fire exit to leave instead of going through the main entrance if they planned to obtain the elevator apparatus. It's kind of like a lose and gain situation. And I mean it's literally an orange apparatus, who wouldn't want to keep it 😂
This is kinda why I decided to roll back my update before the fire exit got locked.

I think being forced to enter and exit the same fire exit just to keep an orange apparatus is already balanced. I mean, it automatically makes you only exit one spot so you wouldn't be able to scatter and collect as much scrap as normal so I think 80 might be enough. But I mean glad there are other orange apparatus enjoyers haha
I personally didn't see much of a problem w it yeah, but there was this one person who would just go to the moon, grab the apparatus and leave because facility meltdown was changing its prize I think?

Wouldn't we run out of time before we can even keep going down or get back up in time? (I have this issue already fixed in my modpack for nicer autopilot. It doesn't take off at 12 AM.)

Can you edit the Elevator Apparatus a bit? Looking closely it has an odd visual on it's surface that all other apparatuses don't do, even vanilla. And could we please have an option to keep the elevator apparatus 😭
I can see an alternate way of tackling the moon. If you have the Inverse teleporter, you can take it to go in blind and randomly be put into a room, so then you gotta find your way to the exit along with finding scrap.
All the moon needs is only two positions for the apparatus and a code-locked fire exit that uses the same code as secure doors from facility

Honestly thinking about it, I wouldn't know how to have it work with lethal meltdown. The apparatus is cool but if it was acquirable, it would be brought up to 240 by default which feels like so much.
Maybe if there was some sort of compatibility though as it is now feels okay
they just gotta change the scriptable object

I heard of that, but if the dungen is just facility just different each time it would feel repeditive. But again, still think it's a cool concept

It had a slight different shade, longer stairs downward, an orange apparatus, I think brown walls at somepoint, it was alpha of course but had it's own charm 😭
