in code, the gameobject's position of the driftwoods hand never moves for the client

So hazards, enemies, crates, weapons, items, etc. Not bugs, however if you do have known issues, with logs and a clear way to recreate it, do share.

you cannot deposit the coins to the Merchant
idk if it has something to do with me leaving the savefile or not, but dude, I cannot leave my PC and game open forever just so it doesn't bug out when leaving the game
so sadly the Merchant is useless, the Gals are useless, Code Rebirth has lost half of it's interest for me, the only thing why I'm still keeping the mod in my profile is because I can still find scrap from Code Rebirth on moons and the monsters still appear, tho sometimes bugged, and Oxyde, the best company moon imo, exists and works for me
is it fine if I send it here, or do I go straight to #help-and-troubleshooting ?
It might be a bug where if you leave the save and come back, the coins don't save
I also tried to buy a new wallet and collect newly generated coins
still doesn't work

NOT RELEASED YET
but i thought i'd share the current changelog rn:
- Added compat with Lategame Upgrades and FasterItemDropship on Oxyde.
- Added compat with Lategame Upgrades and Oxyde's sell percentage.
- Fixed mistress plushie.
- Gave Crane a bigger de-activation range from 20 to 40 to 60 to 90.
- Crane insta falls down on de-activation and stays fallen until it re-activates.
- Cactus budling rolling sound now doesn't play desynced if it was previously rooted before rolling.
- Mistress now targets players more randomly than before, but still implements some priorities.
- Crane configured so that it doesn't spawn on moons with less than 30 AI nodes.
- Crane given an object width of 15 units so it will not spawn within some distance to stuff like entrances or the ship itself.
- Beartraps were given a very minimal ScanNode.
- Sarah and Toby can no longer be configured and force enabled when oxyde is enabled.
- Some nonsensical configs turned off like inside merchant, mimic crates, etc.
- Inside bear traps disabled by default.
- Gave tags to all CR content.
- Fixed magician interacting with cruiser while held onto player.
- Gal unlockables now shuffle if you already built that unlockable.
- Merchant no longer spawns unlockables that you already built.
- Fixed client and server side issues with Magician.
- Fixed magician particle destroying itself after one use.
- Fixed magician not being able to kill outside.
- Made it so you can move further from mistress before getting beheaded and the blackout effect be slower.
- Fan pushing is more linear with distance.
- Puppet movement is more local to the player so kicking the puppets away should feel a tiny bit more responsive for the local client's puppet.
- Trashcans auto position themselves to dead end tiles.
- Nerfed driftwood scream from 5 damage to 2 damage, nerfed distance to getting damaged by it to 10 units.
- Made non-important unlockables decors.
- Made a config for instrument volume.
- ManorLord puppet speeds up if you're further from it.
- Increased redwood threshold for chasing animation.
- Added visual tells and audio tells for the mimic crates.
- Improved echo effect of the walkie yellie.
- Fixed driftwood not grabbing clients properly.
- Fixed hoverboard not working for clients (DawnLib update that was needed due to unity having a bug in it).

one quick thing to add, i think an option to be able to re-activate the crane at anytime or after a delay by hitting the lever again would be cool

I was wondering why it wasnt working but did sometimes, that makes more sense now
honestly teh reason why it doesn't work outside currently is beyond me
there seems to be some sort of issue in the positions of things like the players and enemies to clients
especially after the unity update, something in the networking side of things isn't right
there is some unity bug im unaware of fucking up a lot of positioning
for example
visually, an enemy can be right in front of you, but reading its position value will tell you its like 100 units away from where it actually is, and that's only for the client
the driftwood's grabbing broke for clients because clients think the arm is way further than it actually is
we did actually update to a fairly buggy version of netcode in unity, which is really unfortunate, i might ask zeekerss for another update (not unity, so should be harmless)
poltergeist is strange lmao
there's plenty of zeekerss logic that breaks from things it doesn't expect happening but poletgeist is the wildest

I approve of this, I saw you mention recently the bug fixes needed is like 2 versions ahead of the current netcode version we’re on which would also fix the issue with Late Join stuff breaking as well and needing that one mod to resolve it
I think Zeekerss just updated to the required netcode version for the Unity Version bump but didn’t check to see if it had bugs and problems with it, the v73 update definitely felt kinda rushed and a lot of network related bugs came from it

as far as i know, the ship is really just an ever-present prop. everything else loads in around it and its animations are pretty limited to landing and leaving

ship can be moved around just fine, you just gotta account for the animation snapping it back unless you also edit the ship's animation
moons can also move the ship rather than the moon via messing with the animation, it just wasn't an LLL feature until i implemented it into dawnlib

navmesh should only care about the agent not its size, hitboxes shouldnt interact with the environnement
it always gets stuck with the terrain

so there isnt any way of fixing him? :c, in giantspecimens he would never get stuck, quite the opposite, he would get to the tightest spaces, was kinda funny but yeah
were unsure what it could be, i think its either it gets stuck on other enemies or it breaks when doing something
though if its the former, weve upped his navmesh agent priority so it will push aside other enemies in its way
idk if its with enemies, i usually saw him stuck in things like infernis crystals, or trees in forest moons
it would just keep itself there, sometimes would spin a lot really funny but yeah

it's not a very obvious feature but every 10~ seconds it checks for enemies within 15 units of the player, which is about the ship's long length i wanna say

this is because everytime someone sees that the charred baby is chargeable, it's the funniest reactions everytime
after the big talk in here about them ages ago involving nikki, i spent weeks developing the best "skins" implementation i could for giving anything in the game a skin, not just vanilla enemies like in ESR.
And it works very well, I'm probably not gonna be the one personally using it but I believe some people offered to do it back then during that talk when I mentioned i'd make a way, no idea if they will tbh but the option is there
yeah the coin rework involves removing the wallet mechanic entirely, too much of a hassle
that's fine, unity's networking package is currently broken in the version zeekerss updated to (not zeekerss fault), so if you had tried it at v73 it would've been broken anyway lol
i think i backported the fix from later unity versions but i dont remember :shrug

it makes sense from how i coded it but the intention was that, if no one is dead, spawn mimic, if someone is dead, it's a 20% chance to spawn a mimic instead of reviving them, lol
the funny thing is, horseshoot crab doesn't work as intended, it's bugged, it's been bugged since release, but I've chosen not to fix the bug (basically the direction they choose isn't random, they pick the first player they ever see as their target and rotate away from them, they're meant to rotate away from the closest player)
they just need their launch sound fixed from my understanding?

Their AI is too simple when combined with such a narrow ship, they'll always just end up chasing players to the ship to either kill them, or die there and block the way
it wouldnt be an issue if there were like an evasive creature or they couldnt enter the ship byeah

Quick question, does the Redwood Eyesight config alter the max distance he can see you or is it just a flat increase in his ability to spot you and aggro? Having trouble with him being threatening, he tends to not attack regardless of if you are near him in his LOS unless you're actively trying to aggro him. I've turned up his eyesight in config but wanted to double check that its not having the opposite effect of what I'm wanting

redwood doesnt attack the player, that eye sight config is probably just for him detecting other giants

I've noticed he seems to break after chasing down and enemy and eating them. Not sure if he actually completes it or not but I hear him start his running towards a forest giant then ill see him stuck

Yes to the first, no to the second
The way i balance them is by:
- Making Metal spawn 1-4, and Wooden 1-3
- Keep Wooden to store items or "useful" scraps, think Emergency Dice, weapons etc.
- Blacklist any rare super valuable scraps from Safes if the moon has any
- I use flat spawn curves for them, i.e. its always the same amount that spawn, which adds a level of consistency players can expect when they visit a moon
- The "average" a moon has is 1 safe and 1 wooden crate, but generally larger/more treacherous moons spawn more, particularly cruiser moons, whereas tiny moons like Titan don't have any
- I dont use crate mimics

i plan on using crates to make a few moons more "outside" moons
vow will be bees & crates galore + hurricane weather giving a couple scrap every now and then, with the spawn curves set so that theres at least one giant the moment you arrive
with the inside holding less valuable stuff
for my case ill have crates hold somewhat decent scrap and very rarely store items (most store items are more expensive here)
with very few moons having crates
i believe i can set the curves with lunarconfig
so i will test that to see how customizable i can get with them
id still love a per-moon scrap loot config though, would be very fun to play with

Ceasefire just... feels too good. I'm fine with it not having ammo but maybe make it so it requires charge AND has longer spin up.
I mean you do have to kill a peacekeeper, plus it's two handed and weighs a ton
It also has an overheating mechanic so you cant spam it

its also a scrap, its lost on wipe iirc and can be left behind easily if not careful

Depending on the size of the moon and if you got a cruiser or not, you'd need to be careful about it

How do I understand on which moon do the coins spawn the most?
Its the same spawn curve for every vanilla/custom moon
it seems to be a even-ish spread between 3-8 coins
No less then 3 and no more than 8
This will mean coins are, on average, more "common" on moons with smaller interior size multipliers or which house small interiors
what internal name does flora have? looks like i might be able to control it with lunarconfig
there's not real variance between them, but killing enemies also can give coins
It doesn't happen by default, what setting do I need to check to make that happen, I like killing monsters and that will make it more rewardable

Could be that the money is dropping under the enemy and the corpse is hiding it. Since CR enemy corpses have collision you cant see it or grab it then. I do feel like I have seen some enemies drop a coin before I disabled the merchant stuff so I believe it does work.

you shouldn't need parenting regions i think what paco screenshotted is enough (but if you wanna put items on i think a parent region just for the items would work)
