alright cool! 'cause my main problem with enabling Oxyde was it then barfing all the stuff i didnt like onto the other moons. If it can just be contained to Oxyde that sounds perfectly cool to me
you may notice some moons are a '0' weight, that means they wont spawn there ever

Money was kind of annoying to get instead of scrap (atleast how i remember it working) but i can live with that, it was the hazards and monsters that were a dealbreaker
they dont replace scrap spawns luckily

spawn weights for hazards and enemies currently work differently from one another, hazards are a little tricky to understand at first but here's an example from my config:
Vanilla - 0.00,0.00 ; 0.11,0.11 ; 0.22,0.22 ; 0.33,0.33 ; 0.44,0.44 ; 0.56,0.56 ; 0.67,0.67 ; 0.78,0.78 ; 0.89,0.89 ; 1.00,1.00 | Custom - 0.00,0.00 ; 0.11,0.09 ; 0.22,0.15 ; 0.33,0.21 ; 0.44,0.30 ; 0.56,0.44 ; 0.67,0.66 ; 0.78,1.03 ; 0.89,1.51 ; 1.00,2.00 | Gratar - 0.00,0.00 ; 0.11,0.33 ; 0.22,0.67 ; 0.33,1.00 ; 0.44,1.33 ; 0.56,1.67 ; 0.67,2.00 ; 0.78,2.33 ; 0.89,2.67 ; 1.00,3.00
these are basic configs for a hazard, vanilla's numbers max out at '1' so it should rarely spawn there. custom's numbers max number is '2' so its more likely to be quite common. and for gratar i set it for a hazard to spawn a lot more often so its max number is 3

and this works for modded moons
if you want to set something to have zero weight i'd just set it to Vanilla - 0.00,NaN ; 1.00,NaN |
so yes this works for modded moons

i REALLY do not like random instant kill effects that either have no counterplay or are incredibly tedious to deal with

The crane doesnt have any weight settings
crane has counterplay as you can climb it and shut it off, however its only for like.. thirty seconds or something lol. kinda wished we were able to configure the timer for that
and you can run under it to be safe and bait it away from where you want to actually go, but yeah its a big wrench on a moon's plans
if you had it disabled, enable it and relaunch the game. this wakes up the configs and they should appear after
ill try that and come back

in my experience microwave does not cause instant death, its actually one of the most manageable hazards tbh. it could even reward you
just little chips of damage is basically all it can do

So what makes Oxyde so special or different to the other moons?
All i've heard is that it has some sort of vague store thingy, some lore and that it forced many things on so it was shut down
you can sell there for like a 3x bonus, but you have to go through a journey to do it lol
there's a very rare chance for a normal bear trap to be replaced by one, but that'd be like 1 in every 50 bear traps is a boom trap, but also boom traps were nerfed on the last update so they're pretty easy to evade rn

Did it make a sound and not pick up or just not pick up at all? if it made a sound that means you need to poke around it a bit as the host for some reason has a very slightly different position, its fixed in the next update (it might also not be left click and is E)

the explosion range is also super small so it gives you like 3 pure seconds of reaction time to look down and disable it

I've gotten a lot of complaints asking me to raise the weights for my enemies, the hazards have "high" weights due to their sheer number of how many hazards there are but some of my friends havent even seen half of my enemies lol
what was described to me was the crane slamming down being the killer, no explosions were mentioned so i didnt think it was that lol

Okay so curious question i thought of. The merchant on Oxyde is meant to be a more interesting replacement for selling at the Company. And yet coins seem to be the main currency there. So therefore, do you sell scrap for coins and if you want actual credits you go to the Company instead?
Selling and merchant are two separate things on oxyde, you don't need coins to sell (and you recieve normal credits, just multiplied for oxydes difficulty) but you would need to present coins in a wallet for merchant for exclusive things
yeah merchant is only for special items and scrap
some special equipment is only available through trading and wont spawn anywhere else
another specialty of oxyde is the potential to save a run if you wipe right before company day, through the merchant and with the items that can possibly spawn around the moon
code rebirth works as a solo mod, cuz I remember doing it with the wesley moons and it wasnt that fun

weird, i rewrote some of that code as well so it could be better now after the next update releases but in my experience its always that sometimes she doesnt trigger because something random is blocking LoS

I was on a pikmin moon she was on the ledge and i fell off to break los, i could not see her and it did not look like she could see me, then there was the first time she attacked me she was outside my ship and she killed me, very much strange

I installed StarlancerEnemyEscape and through Lethal Config I allowed almost EVERY enemy to be able to go outside
even the kidnapper fox and stuff like the manor lord, barbers, etc.
kidnapper foxes are outside by default
it's unlikely to ever go inside because it uses an outside nest and only ever leaves to chase players
Even with the StarLancerEnemyEscape mod?
all that starlancer enemy escape can really do is politely ask enemies to navigate to a door and then it teleports them, nothing it can do if that enemy doesn't randomly wander (like brackens)
Using enemy escape on my custom enemies might break their pathfinding

Super cool mod, you can config the time it takes for it to unlock doors, and it is also cheaper, and can be used to lock doors again
Synergises nicely with CR since you can buy one as an investment to get keys, to get safes, to get your money back
