Tryna get a clip of it happening but steams being a pain, basically it says seismic activity then seems to spam it ad infinitum, lagging everything and killing it all

seismic activity happens when the entity || the monarch|| spawns from ||a cutiefly dying, possibly from being interacted with other players (or in my experience monsters like dogs)||

I dont have many mods added in the first place because of lag concerns, since one of my friends has a lower end pc. Most of the mods are just libraries. Like the only mods I downloaded are LateCompany, YesFox, Mirage, Locker, Phones, Casino and this mod

i plan these things ahead of time, rodrigo probably wouldnt like me saying it but its pretty easy, either the person needs to soft/depend on CRLib and use the spawning crmapobjects script to spawn it, or use spawnsyncedobject (idk if that method actually works never used that script personally)
the only problem with this stuff is that barrel postioning etc is pretty defined
money still appears with wallet off cuz wallet money + merchant are all same bundle so cant be individually disabled cuz part of the same gameplay loop
so you'd need to shape his spawn spot according to where he creates teh stuff he spawns
using CRLib to spawn it should just make it not spawn if its not loaded, and spawn if it is, if that makes sense
ill probably give it another month before making stuff a lot more configurable, just need people to properly experience stuff and realise that no the coin isnt the same as the old one

Being honest with all of the performance mods installed, modded usually runs much better for me than vanilla
Unless ofc I add quite a lot of large content mods
But if your friend has more than 8GB of RAM, I wouldn’t be afraid to add some content mods.
i was asking for some way for a user to do it, since i do really like the merchant and their items but i don't have oxyde on as you can't do wesley's progression on it
Yeah, taken the hint and added all the performance mods lol
See how that works for them. Certain members of the community have been known to mention when lag spikes occur, so most mods won’t cause large frame drops on their own
The only problem is the spot would need to be custom made for the merchant so I can't allow it anywhere specific like galetry without wesley messing with it a lot (also probably best to keep each of these unique moon with their own gimmicks)

The merchants fbx is... not pretty
I give people access to fuck around with it in crlib for mainly 2 reasons, 1 is that it's a lot more convenient than most would imagine (imo), and the other is that i don't entirely mind people's judgement on how they feel what certain content can be placed and interacted around with different mod devs, I can sort of trust people to balance things in the right direction
But I am also a mod dev above a library dev so I'm just hoping I don't just see normal company with casino + merchant LOL

Achievements are part of cr lib so anybody using cr lib can implement their own achievements
Small tweak suggestion: Have it say “Achievements” instead of “Open Achievements”. Most of the game menus are just “Settings” or “Host”.

Potentially dumb question but what's wrong with ppl disabling features they don't want?
Does it cause issues if you have Oxyde enabled but money disabled?
two reasons
- people dont know what they're even disabling, they just do it because at a previous update money was lackluster
- the merchant is an intended part of oxyde, disabling that ruins the experience and ambience of it
Disabling some of the features that Oxyde “needs” kind of just makes it a company building with 3x sell value
The hazards, merchant and monsters are necessary to differentiate it and imo makes it a really fun moon
I personally like the new money system so I wouldn't want to disable it anyway (although more configs are always appreciated, especially for larger packs)
And I get why you wouldn't bother making configs for it, but going out of your way to reduce player customisation is a bit odd imo, that's all
Ultimately it's your mod and you can do what you want with it, but it's a fairly convoluted workaround that I can't see being used by ppl who don't understand what they're removing

there is no going out to reduce player customisation, most people who disable the money etc have no idea what they're disabling, they're just missing out on 50% of the update and then they'll find the update lackluster
I’ll probably swap to lunar config tho as that’s basically gonna be the better CC

its not that "the owner is mean" theres more to it but yeah

I mean I just disabled it for getting rid of coins spawning because a lot of people who play my mod pack really don’t like them
But I particularly like oxyde because it’s really unique
So I just made the crashed ship super rare
To balance out its selling prices
And I made certain oxyde shop items spawn around the map rarely on oxyde or certain moons
I mean I understand for modpacks who use code rebirth as the main source of content in their modpack
That they should have it enabled
But a lot of mods take a back seat in my pack
Cause too much content at once can be overwhelming, especially since I have to balance out 250ish mods, while avoiding conflicts and unplayability
I’m just a huge fan of the enemies as they’re incredibly unique, and the hazards too
I just have them set a bit rarer
Or buffed on specific interiors etc etc

I think it’s because I advertise my pack as leaning into vanilla+ rather than goofy modded shenanigans
I’m good with both sides of modding, equally fun in their own right
everything seems to work but i have heard some crash reports due to the latest FairAI update so i'd downgrade that if you have it
Some moons benefit from configuring (eg: remove cacti on Kast) but it all works fine from my experience
FairAI v1.5.1 is super broken in general, I've had no issue with v1.5.0 though
Honestly in regards to the whole money thing, idk why you would want to disable it at all. It doesn't take up scrap spawns so it's literally no problem. If it would take up scrap spawns i would understand the issue but as it is now, it's literally no problem and makes for a fun addition. If you don't want it you can just ignore the coins too.

my one reason for force enabling oxyde and the weapons using CC without having the coins was because with it disabled, that comes with losing the guardsman and the weapons, which a lot of people who i play with enjoy a ton, but also just like how theyre in the lethal company style
having those things isolated to one moon was less confusing
in my eyes anyways
was the best i could do, since it was a compromise, keep most content, not confuse things
also my pack is somewhat built around having multiple selling points and individual reasons for going to said selling points, especially for later game quotas, keeps things fresh and has a nice change of scenery instead of constantly returning to the main company

@wise stag zaggy's mask mod works with office elevator just fine
i've brought this up to zaggy with their mod already but just a warning to you. you probably should implement some sort of cooldown for elevator usage on your enemies
in the build of the smart pathing i have access to the masks once they get on the elevator tend to like riding it up and down 5 or 6 times before actually leaving 😔

Could someone who worked on CR check Puppeteers for me? One moon two players had the puppets made and my computer was like getting loud. The only thing in my modpack that does that. And today when I was puppeted, my computer got loud again.

We do all testing in a vanilla setting
but yeah harder enemies but more tools, more interesting gimmicks and varying counters

I think the best concept for adding variety with dofficulty was the ac unit, while not actually as good in practice, ot was meant to make jetpacks more balanced. Cuz seeing pro players just fly above everything with easy was boring. Not engaging with jalf of the game
