an example, when launching, you'll still be able to walk, but the game thinks you're still riding her, constantly shifting your LR perspective as she turns. can be fixed by remounting and relaunching

Yellow is a stormy type of tornado, doesn't look all that good~
Green is just a healing nado, get too close and u get launched though
One thing i noticed is some interiors Cruiser gal is to tall for and if you ride her you cant get out cause of the ceiling 😆 🤣

Tbh I don't care either way with the Tornados. There's a config so people can just turn off what they don't like. For awhile I only had the grey one on.
I like water fire and grey, fire will have its own effects similar to helldivers if its kept, water is gonna be mostly the same since it drowns you and I find that fun
With the new launching this isn't always a bad thing lol. It's fun
I lower strength for tornados. For me they're overkill
The new launching is actually fun now though and doesn't outright kill you.
It's like a fun carnival ride. Just pray you don't end up in a lake though.

I would maybe say make grey the default, and the special ones are only from people messing with config or moon creators doing specific tags or something, as the other colours are quite extreme and normally look out of place, but i am sure some people like them or use them idk

is there a way to tell the mimic crates apart from the normal ones and also is there a way to combat them
theres subtle sounds right before they open otherwise theres specific techniques to open them
wooden crate makes a sound 1 hit away from being opened, some people argue that the sound volume is too low, but it's fairly audible if u actually listen
metal crate is more subtle but also just completely dodgeable
and once they get you is there any way to get out or no
so real... i disabled them because i usually test stuff on my own before playing with friends and i was just sitting there waiting to be digested 😭
The only thing i disable usually is the Zap Turret because 1. it's never hurt me 2. it's LOUD
reducing zap time for shock turret

I have a suggestion for the Tesla trap
Do note i am still on 0.12.3 (pre-jimothy update), since we held off on updating our mods for a bit until all the LLL stuff was sorted out with the moons/interiors in our pack, so idk if the Tesla has changed since then, all i see in the changelog is some kind of "fix" to it
I think a simple but good change would be to make it so it still only charges when a player is in its radius, but it will fire at ANY valid target once charged if its in the radius
This means, say, if you're being chased by something and go past it, it will charge, you will probably now be out of the radius when its ready, but if the creature following you is now in it, it will be shot
If you got far enough away, you're fine, meaning you can use it smartly to kill things
If you dont get far enough away, you then get hit from the lighting bouncing off the enemy and get punished for not respecting the turret or being aware of surroundings
Right now its just, very easy to sprint around it and ignore it completely, i've only seen it really kill newbies or in interiors like Liminal Pools where the water slows you and you cant do anything 
The lighting bounce mechanic is really cool, but i never see it happen really
I do remeber thinking about it keeping its charge level but we never got to discussing it
To add on to that, though i think this could be a more controversial change, i think it would be neat if traps and conductive scraps also counted as valid targets 
This...makes it alot more interesting
If the Tesla is in a room and there is..idk....seamines along the edge of the room, or a laser turet a bit further down, you need to be careful when you trip the tesla, because once charged the lighting will bounce off those things and zap people or things nearby to those
You can kind of think of it as a "network" around it, meaning the threat is proportionate to whats nearby
Also the idea of leaving a trail of conductive scrap to a tesla, to then trip it so the lighting travels somewhere else, like to kill friends at the entrance or to kill an enemy in a room sounds very very fun and can lead to sillyness, yet is niche enough thats its rare it would happen on accident
mm, yeah but that just means you get zapped when you go by it again
So it then denies going through there again, which i feel if anything could be annoying
With this, its more that the lightning itself can be more dynamic and have neater interactions with different things
oh yeah, you have Jimothy too

And to add on to that, tho really stretching it now, if you make it so turrets, mines, berthas, security doors etc. are valid targets for the lighting once it triggers, then you could have it also activate them
I.e. detonate mines, open security doors, disable turrets as if done via the terminal or make them go beserk
This...then also gets rly interesting
You could for example, lead a trail of conductive scrap to a security door you wanna open / shut
If a tesla spawns next to a door, you could just trip it to open it
So many possibilities for stuff you can do with it

it does, but you shouldn't need to do it in FixedUpdate and doing so will just result in the frame times being more inconsistent
pushing work into FixedUpdate isn't a performance hack

note that the only reason FixedUpdate exists is to update rigid bodies, it runs on a fixed delta time so that physics is consistent, since running physics engines on varying delta times can cause a lot of inconsistency in the simulation
I'll have to see what kind of time cost that method has though, you might see fps drop further by switching that if something you're doing is especially inefficient
You can disable everything except those two through the config

Well I don't like the fact that I'm doing two spherecasts since it seemed like no matter if the player was crouched or not it hit em, so that's probably my biggest annoyance

Nope, I went very precise with the y level, was testing between like 0.01 where it'd barely hit a player standing, and crouching didn't help

we got so much flak for where our hazards spawned, when we dont control where interiors have hazard spots
I just wrote a base class for all the hazards where they despawned when they're close to a doorway
Have the regular turrets randomly ray cast up like snare fleas and if they find a ceiling they jump up and flip.
Then I got complaints about slaughterhouse cuz it allows hazards to spawn in the vents

The default config spawn weight is like this for the most part:
Half the time nothing spawns.
20% of the time 1 spawns.
10% 2 spawn.
And then so on and there's like a 2% for 8 to spawn
