ok so i decided to try and see if i can figure out the mod thats causing the lord of the manor to be bugged
and apparently runtime icons DOES generate an icon for the pin needle
i killed it on my vanilla+ profile just now
the last time i was messing with it was my actual mod pack, which only has 41 other mods included
i have one more idea for the potential causer of this issue, and i will check real quick
ok heres every major mod i could find that could be causing it

well i like to "speedrun" the kill often
you can also do this
other general advice
kill it faster than slower, you do not need to wait for the reload animation to finish to get a fully loaded gun
the moment it plays that animation, it can be killed
Nutcrackers alone are fine.
Now add a Manorlord into the mix and it spawns an enemy in front of you while your trying to kill it. Nutcracker can one shot were the Thumper you have a better chance to avoid and get away if needed.
well the thing is
the manor lord cant take damage at the point it would spawn the nut, you have to wait for that animation it does to stop, then it only takes one more hit
so you shouldnt just instantly swing the shovel at its body again
unless you know it spawns 2 masked

Sometimes people are just gonna be in the motion of things and the heat of the moment. Not everyone is gonna approach it like that. Most people don't fully know yet either. It's a silly game that's designed for chaos and death, not a dark souls game where players are trying world record speed run so most players in this game are not here perfecting strats to defeat every enemy including modded enemies so Nutcracker would be the most deadly in my opinion to MOST players, not you.
Me personally I'd be fine seeing a Nutcracker cause I like me some shotguns 😆 and Thumpers are annoying sometimes.

alternatively it spawns a jester and everyone instantly evacuates and then the manor lord kills their voodoo dolls

Make sure you tag your grounds right, right layers, make sure your navmesh actually goes where u want it to go, don't go too spammy with the off mesh links, and thats just for the mooners

this is the code the puppeteer is calling to spawn enemies
note that all of them are passing -1 as enemyNumber
which wouldn't matter as long as the CodeRebirthUtils.EnemyTypes.Where(x) stuff never returns null
if it passes in a valid enemytype, then it will just use that enemytype
but when null is passed as a parameter, it sees -1 as the enemyNumber, and it randomly selects an enemy from the moon's spawn list instead
so i think what is happening is that EnemyTypes is sometimes returning an invalid result
The EnemyTypes shouldn't be null... well I'm hoping no mod is making them null

if you don't need the enemy types until the game starts
i'd suggest using QuickMenuManager.Start and pulling the references from QuickMenuManager.testAllEnemiesLevel
that's the test level zeekerss uses to populate the debug spawn menu

it has a reference to all vanilla enemies (including 3 duplicate copies of the jester 🤷♀️)

TestAllEnemiesLevel is also the default value of StartOfRound.Instance.currentLevel
but im pretty sure you'd need to grab that in Awake() because it gets immediately overwritten with the saved moon (or Experimentation if one does not exist yet)
and im not 100% sure that will work for all clients, or just for the session host
but TBH i've never tried, so it is an option if you want to do some science

I think the random enemies is still neat as maybe a potential future feature if configurable
Big part of what makes the SDM painting event, LethalPresents / gift mimics and Meltdown spawns fun is the randomness you get from it
I would be in favour of it returning as a config, its very cool to have an enemy do that as part of a phase

oh btw do you know why delilah always got stuck on mineshaft interior? sometimes even the owner enters the fire exit, delilah still deliver items thru main then get stuck

navmesh inside walls

Maybe that is why Toy Store is the only interior that lags for me after enemies have spawned later in the day

The trash cans just have a high chance to spawn so youll see em 100% from 5 to 8

i plan on turning the janitor off on some moons and play with the weights and itd be nice if the trash cans didnt spawn on the other moons
