Honestly the video bright with the flash turrets. i don't even know what the entrance was lol it was angled weird. I've had zero troubles with it though. They spawn in annoying spots sometimes but so do seamines and laser turrets

but i do think a config for its pull/push strength like the tornado would be nice

If it was thicker in width there could be more area that doesn't have the blow/suck
i think it should just be slower
and being ever so slightly smaller will it allow it to be passible in very few more cases

Honestly, the fans can be countered, as long as you see them. Also, if there's a physical barrier between you and the fan, that helps greatly.

Hey, out of curiosity @wise stag, I know that your custom hazards are effectively BSOD'd machines that have gone rogue, but would you consider potentially adding the potential to use the terminal to temporarily disable them, akin to the vanilla hazards?
(So that we can use LGU's malware broadcaster to permanently destroy them to give them a taste of their own medicine)

From all the playing ive done in lobbies with glitched the fan was never problematic, it used to be but now its very weak
You can just outrun it
i think people are really overexaggerating the problem with the fan
but the way it instantly grabs you does feel oppressive
unless that's intentional it should scale but quickly
If it were proportional to the distance ot wouldnt be dangerous
distance's fine it's just the instant acceleration for me
Because the firther away you are from it the faster you get out of its range

What we have is a revive mod for really bad players to not have to spectate for 15 minutes while everyone else plays
And having a corpse gives those bad players a second chance at enjoying the game

the fan is loud enough you cant miss it
I know you can hear the fan from across the wall etc but it's a buzz kill to constantly remind bad players to "just turn on your ears bro, skill issue"

- Added seamine gal as a player suit.
- Added configs for enabling/disabling seamine and shockwave gal player models.
- Fixed meteor shower initial volume stuff.
- Microwave has a chance to spawn scrap inside of it now, making it more deadly.
- Nerfed meteor shower fire damage a bit and reduced the particles to save on some frames.
- Lowered the default speed of the meteor shower meteor's from 50 to 30.
- Made meteor shower automatically end at 80% through the day by default and start only after the ship has nearly landed.
- Made meteor shower strike on ship by default false because I got scolded, and also improved the non-hitting of the ship to be a decent radius around the ship.
- Made meteor shower scrap amount multiplier and scrap value multiplier 1.2x by default and lowered spawn weight from 50 to 30 (and tornado from 50 to 40).
- Added a special death interaction for Pjonk, die often for the sake of us (this is a config disabled by default because most people aren't Pjonk).
- Added a config in general category for the gal ai owner being the only person able to disable her.
- Probably fixed tornado type desync.
- Maybe fixed position desync for late-join clients (clients that joined AFTER the gal was bought).
- Gave All inside hazards an animation curve in the config stuff, have fun.
- Gave industrial fan and laser turret config to not destroy body.

the curve picks a random number between 0 and 1 in the x-axis
and the picks the corresponding y-axis value
rounded into an integer
and thats how vanilla does it
which is why u can have some days be turret hell

I didn't like how op the Shockwave Gal was so I balanced her out, the only time I ever reported things with her was to report bugs

From what I know, there was nothing wrong with the mod. recent update gave me some errors though as seen in my logs I posted earlier. But I mean content from rebirth is great
I understand people like me and Takey in the past not recommending the mod cus it had issues didn't help but I genuinely love the mod nowadays and I only ever removed it when it was buggy and causing me performance issues
aw. i just wanna say that i really appreciate the work put into both code rebirth and surfaced, both have been amazing additions to my modpack, my friends and i have had alot of fun with them. im sure theyll love playing with seamine gal tommorow. the dedication and passion from you both really shows.

And Xu, noticed a lot of us has discussed issues and sorry for that. All honestly, this is one of the well known mods cause of how good it is. The mod is good and hope this gives a boost. Errors and bugs are bound to happen but it don't take away the fact you and others made a great mod

- Fixed harmless error with MRAPI and CodeRebirth when MRAPI isn't found.
- Fixed harmless error with gal's chargers when the owner dies.
Hazard Config
- Small tidbit on how the hazard config works for the inside hazards such as LaserTurret, FlashTurret, TeslaShock, etc.
- Config follows this structure: MoonName - X1,Y1 ; X2,Y2 ; X3,Y3 | MoonName2 - Etc.....
- This follows how vanilla spawns hazards on moons accurately, where vanilla generates a number between 0 and 1 and assigns it to the X-axis.
- Using that X-axis value, it picks the corresponding Y-value, rounds it to an integer and spawns that amount of hazards.
- It's done as a curve so that, depending on luck, you can have days where you spawn almost no hazards and on some days you have Microwave Hell, similar - to some moons' Turret Hell rare occurance.
- Tool for visualising and creating curves easily will be coming soon...

Should do yes, since disabling a part of the mod completely stops it from loading.
That means no error will occur for not having the mods required for the weather to work and no extra RAM is used.
Some clients are not affected by the hurricane, and three or four people in a team of eight people are not affected.

I never had many bugs with CR in all honesty, I can't even remember any particularly egregious ones either. My only gripe with the mod is/was the very weird default values but it's not a big issue since it's all configurable
I think the only big jank I ran into back then were the tornadoes pulling you even from super far away
But I just disabled em and waited for them to be a little more fair

Summary
The following is the current experience of version 0.8.1.
First of all, the attraction of tornadoes does not work for every client. When eight people play, about three people are not affected by tornadoes.
Secondly,When the client joins the server, it will see Gal floating in the space near the spaceship.
Thirdly, Gal has higher priority for chasing monsters than following players, especially SEAM, which will lead to that if Gal doesn't catch up with the enemy and the enemy keeps moving, Gal will ignore the player and follow the enemy all the way.For example, chasing hoarding bug.
Finally, some people reported that the number of frames dropped seriously after SEAM's scanning was started.

I see, I didn't know much about retrieval before, so I'm worried about too much information and conflicts caused by too many MODs.
the general mantra is to post your modlist/profile code, logoutput.log and any other contextual info you can provide
if it's too big then process of elimination always helps but that's too long sometimes
(which by nature then gets wiped and starts anew on startup)

Gal floating in space os a desync caused by people joining after the robot is bought, xu hasnt been able to figure out how to fix this yet. Though it isnt game breaking and purely visual
The higher chase priority is so that they actually kill things, of course stuff can be faster than them but for now thats just a slight issue
As for the frame drops on the scan we need more info and logs in general
While testing as client yesterday the scan never effected my fps
So it can always be modpack issues, hardware limitations, etc

Xus work has always been in my top favorites. Even when I saw bugs I knew Xu would get around to fixing it. With the amount of stuff she's made, and stuff she's making still she has so much work on her plate she can't get to everything right away. Like some times we just have to turn stuff off until she can get to it. Or just deal with the issues.
