hey @wise stag my cesspool with my beautiful LQ-spawned tornados is having a really weird issue where it hangs on the Random Seed: screen for host but shows a hang on Waiting for Players... screen for clients, yet this ONLY happens on the second day after having landed on Cesspool once first. I'm somewhat sure it has to do with one of these 2 errors in the logs, do you know which by any chance?
and is it possible the one complaining it couldn't destroy a spawned object is somehow related to tornados being spawned in a way other than the Windy weather type? I find this doubtful because no tornados had actually spawned upon leaving after the first day, but it's still an odd error and the hang-up is definitely tied to networking somehow, since this doesn't occur if no other players are in the lobby, so I'm wondering if somehow it's related to the tornados

btw I have confirmed that tornados spawned manually through LethalQuantities have funky spawning behavior, sometimes they spawn one at a time per spawn batch, other times they spawn 2 or even 3 at once per spawn batch, seems totally random, and it is DEFINITELY not any settings LethalQuantity has available, because swapping tornados out with any other enemy makes that enemy spawn in exactly the way you'd expect; 1 at a time when the normal spawning math variables allow it
and their pull force does seem to happen at small intervals of about 1-ish seconds instead of being constant, but as the day goes on, this interval turns into a consist, tiny little lagspike of 1-ish seconds even when not near a tonrado. It almost seems like the longer a tornado exists, the less consistent its pull-force math is able to be applied until it starts hogging resources trying to maintain the loop
I wish they more optimized so I could have like 8 without bad fps, probably due to the visuals of each tornado lol
Lol the math is pretty simple, I unfortunately wouldn't know what would be causing any sort of performance issued etc
is it possible the particle effects for the tornado entity itself are possibly resource intensive and so 5 tornados at once drags fps down? or are they rather simple?
I notice entering the facility all the lag goes away, so somehow it's definitely my precious 'nados
also, if my spawned tornados almost always congregate near the ship and they use default enemy wander a.i., odds are zeekerss put something that tries to make sure the creature never goes so far from the ship they are never a threat to anyone coming or going from it, which makes sense to try and ensure giants and dogs don't become totally harmless by random rng, and therefore, I suspect a tornado spawned by the actual windy weather will behave the same way, potentially locking down accessibility to the ship somewhat unfairly imo
if you ever care to update tornados a bit, you should definitely at least look into giving them a very simple redone wandering behavior so they try to go from enemy ai node to enemy ai node, picking one at absolute random and making a bee-line to it or something

Hey I just wanted to report that I suspect the flora of Code Rebirth may have messed up my vain shrouds spawn. I have seen plants everywhere but no more vain shrouds since I have installed the mod. I have since disabled the mod and verified the game files' integrity but still, no more vain shrouds even after many quotas.
Is it a known issue and do we know how to fix vain shrouds' spawn ?
I'm amazed you want them to spawn. I've seen vain shrouds but they do feel less frequent. Hard to say, they are entirely rng if they will ever appear in a run
I have a save on day 41 and there are zero vain shrouds since the incident. They used to spawn more and more as days went on and the map would be nearly covered in them by day 20. Now I don't see them anymore even when I start a new run and fill many quotas
I can say with 99% certainty it isn't affecting vain shrouds
The way I spawn flora is similar to the big boulders

I have a question. Was it intended for the Meteor Shower weather to overwrite the Hell weather from that mod? I don't know why (nor am I really complaining) but whenever the game spawns the Hell weather, it gets recognized as Meteor Shower in terminal but as Hell on the monitors. Honestly though, the addition of a meteor shower to a weather called hell makes sense.
Again, I don't personally think it's a huge issue. Just wondering if this was intended and I missed that part somewhere.

I got a bug where everybody was going through the floor. Happened with the new interior while a meteor shower was happening on a custom planet...
We got the new interior on that planet before so the only "new" thing was the meteor shower. No error in the logs.
Nothing conclusive but if it happens to someone else well....

meteor shower can't do anything to terrain, i just project a texture ontop of terrain at the most, the most that MAYBE can happen is meteor pushing u under terrain but i havent seen that happen either
It was Gorgonzola. But it happened in the ship for select persons later while we were in space. Only thing I could see was that there was a meteor texture in the ship where they were falling but I now doubt it's that

I think Meteor Shower make Monster in Dungeon not spawn. because i testing 4 moon no one spawn when Weather is Meteor.
and Windy broken when going orbit still there no despawn
and for Meteorite Scraps better become Two hand because weird if 1 hand

Does anyone know what causes the tornado to fly towards the right side of the ship? This wasn't an issue when it wasn't an enemy, and i've avoided using some enemies as outside entities due to this glitch so it's been a non issue, but now that it's caused by a tornado I can't ignore it anymore.
There's a couple reasons, for tornado specifically its because its broken on v62
I havent been able to update for the reason of I'm.mid update
For other enemies, its case by case, setting an enemy as daytime enemy wont work for them to path properly, they'll need to be both daytime and outside

@wise stag I have noticed that sales in the store begin listing on the incorrect item past 'Pickle on a stick' from surface, and wallet and hoverboard from code rebirth directly under it. I'm not entirely sure which of the two could be the culprit, so can you confirm or deny that code rebirth might be the one doing it?

as in, in the store it lists a sale for an item, say 50% off
but when buying that item it charges full price, and if you buy an item above or below it
it charges you 50% off for that item instead even though the sale isn't listed for that item
and the GeneralImprovements better monitors feature that shows sales in the store is correct
but the actual sales printed on the terminal when browsing the store are not
I've seen it before, it's caused by a mod that adds things to the store and somehow confuses the game into putting a sale on an item but labeling the wrong item for that genuine sale
Giant Extension Ladders had this issue as well, and his solution was to just put 2 faux items in the store that had blank names and couldn't be purchased to make absolutely sure that any disabled store items would not skew sales targeting in the store item list below that point

nope, never even looked into that, all I do with LLL right now is use it as a dependency for whatever needs it, and have a few moon customization configs enabled specifically to change their routing cost and absolutely nothing else

I have noticed it will spawn disabled items in it EXCEPT for code rebirth I feel like. I disabled hoverboard and never got one in a box. Could have just been luck though.
Also there is a setting already I thought for adjust the possibility for more than 3 items to spawn? I've had crates pop out like 8 items before.

I'm a little confused by the flora spawn config sections.
There's a grass section, desert section, and snow section yet from what I can tell the plants are not all that different no matter what moon they load on.
Would I be correct in assuming the plants will be different for each type in the future? (unless they already are and im blind 😆 )

Hello, I had an idea since the update with the axe that can chop down trees
It could be cool to collect wood and use it to craft a new suit (or something else) with a special ability: crouching (and/or staying still) while wearing the suit would prevent you from being detected by the ForestGiant

Hmmm, I could do something like an achievement, chop 100 trees and a suit spawns in the ship that u can wear and if i can figure out to detect what suit player is wearing I can probably give some benefits like reduced damage and less visibility from forest giants

I think achievement rewards could be an interesting concept, that could work well for something more general, like killing a same monster a specific number of times
For my idea, I think maybe an item would be more engaging in terms of gameplay:
- It could be obtained quickly (which avoids spending an entire game session chopping wood, as that's not really the game goal and can be quite boring)
- It could be lost upon death, meaning it could be re-crafted later, allowing this activity to be spread over multiple days rather than just doing it once at the start of a run
This is probably better than a suit, even if it makes less sense, I'm also terrible at modeling/texturing, so I totally understand what you mean x)

Request:
Add a blacklist of tools than can spawn on the metal crate.
Some disabled items from various mods (LGU, LethalThings, etc) can spawn from these crates even if you have that enabled
Yeah currently you have to disable the items from loading completely if you want to avoid it
how can I do that?
for example, the medic bag (or medkit) from LGU

at that point might need to ask in #1178407269994594435 if the items can be disabled from loading into game with it disabled, unless Xu is going to add a blacklist/whitelist if/when they add the option to decide how many items are in a crate
