Hey been playing with your scrap mod, me and the group like the grenades, but the fuse time is too low. I checked on our end and it's 0.55f that's super short, where at times it blows up in our hand/face even if we pull the pin and toss it asap.

I've just made my own patch in one of my private mods to be 1.25f and it works a lot better

ah i see, well the 0.55 to 1.25 difference is noticable, and still can use it. the normal 2.25 does feel like a long time, but I believe the pin pull takes up the fuse time? So at .55 you almost have half a second left to toss it

I was able to kill things reasonably at 1.25 and it doesn't feel like eons

I guess if you wanted maybe the fuse time can be a config value? And maybe I'm the only person that has complains (and maybe Moroxide lol)

This is a big thanks to everyone who downloaded Siabudabu and liked it! Sadly I couldn't finish Fremist in time for this special moment, but soon I'll release it for all of you to enjoy. I started this project this project in January 2024 just for fun and released it to Thunderstore expecting it to go unnoticed, but it went completely different. Is it the expected behavior that Fiufki's Scrap spawns outside of the normal scrap pool? I'm using Lethal Quantities and the scrap from this mod does not show up pre-selected on the moons on the web ui (whereas other scrap mods do). The scrap does end up spawning sometimes, but since it seems to be spawned in a different way, it completely ignores the scrap limit for the moon. For instance, I just had a moon that was supposed to have 15-18 scrap, but since it had 4 Fiufki's Scrap items, the total count was 21. When the scrap from this mod doesn't spawn, the scrap limit for the moon seems to be respected.

im using a dependency called LLL (LethalLevelLoader) and these other mods probably use another way of registering scrap and they can register as "vanilla"

Okay, don't bother wasting your time (I think). I had some more time to test all of this for longer just now... My belief is that your mod is working properly and instead it seems like Lethal Things was the main culprit (along with some minor scrap/tool mods like Shopping Cart which don't seem to count towards the scrap limit). I kind of jumped the gun because your scrap were spawning quite often and the scrap count was always incorrect. It didn't help that I was already biased against your mod because it was behaving differently to everything else when using Lethal Quantities. I apologize for being so quick to contact about this, I should've tested more thoroughly.

@coral canyon In the scrap pack the grenade breaks the shop. If you leave the game and rejoin all modded shop items desync and move up the list. Meaning if you try to buy 1 item you will actually be buying the item under it.

ohh, i know why its broken. i set the grenade to not be buyable in the store, so LLL thinks that the grenade is a scrap, but lethal knows that it isn't a scrap. so on vanilla moons it works, because vanilla already knows its a store item, but LLL doesnt so every custom LLL moon just doesnt work

After the 5.1.0 update for Siabudabu it was untouched for 3 months. And fiufki's Moons was also left untouched after couple of months.

fiufki's Moons:

  • Added Fremist.
  • Updated Siabudabu to 6.0.0.
  • And Jabiua is being updated next.

Siabudabu:

  • Added new ambience, for a more dynamic gameplay.
  • Changed the terrain type from a terrain to mesh, to improve visuals.
  • And a lot of other stuff.

i figured out why siabudabu is so laggy, the current version has the terrain with 264196 vertices, but now it will be 21850

The moon preview on Orbits doesn't show when starting a lobby with a save file that loads on a moon that didn't originally have it, but after rerouting or pulling the lever and returning to orbit it starts working

1: siabudabu still seems to be missing outside ambience (but it works inside, from another mod i have)
2: fremist doesn't seem to have any ambiance either, and i assume you plan to work on its filesize as well? it's still somewhere around 44mb i think
3: the story logs act a little weird sometimes, where the collect notif doesn't display the name, and it's hidden in the sigurd menu, but can still be opened by typing its name (idk if this is your problem, it could be something with custom story logs)

also i think the moonpack doesn't have the most updated versions of the moons

🍷🎉 Siabudabu: 1 Year Anniversary

Siabudabu today turned 1 year old!

Which reminded me that this moon was the one I spent the most time on. And still it's not very fun and filled with bugs. Well no more!

How did we get there?

It all started at 01/22/2024 where I released a 0.0.1 version, exclusive only to my friends. This was still when there we're no LethalLevelLoader, but everyone used LethalExpansion. Then Siabudabu was more like Fremist. It was way larger than now. It was actually unique (at the time) and it had great potential (at the time Siabudabu was also more lore expanded).

After 4 months in production (04/20/2024) the 1.0.0 version was dropped. In my opinion it was kinda lame. The main entrance was right outside the ship and fire exits we're better than main, but still they we're basic.

The version 5.0.0 aka Siabudabu Extended Cut was finally released on 8/02/2024 made the map bigger while still being kinda similar to the original. With this version I also hit 70K downloads on Thunderstore.

On 12/05/2024 after 3 months without upgrades I released the version 6.0.0 which modernized the moon. While in 6.2.0 the moon finally was a normal file size and changed it's visuals to be way better. And on 6.3.0 I added exclusive scraps which was the last thing you got until now...

7.0.0 Update

In this version I made several changes:

  • Modified the terrain to be way more fun to play and themed it after the 0.0.1 update.
  • Fixed bugs and finally fixing the flicker issues and other issues. Making Siabudabu finally stable,
  • And other changes...

I've grouped all of the scraps into categories! All of which will be visible in the config, but today you're getting fully polished version of only one of the groups. I've called it HOUSE OBJECTS.

Okay, actual changes from the old version:

  • The Bottle & Potted Plant scraps are now throwable and they shatter upon impact!
  • You can have now pillow fights! You can swing the Pillow scrap!
  • The Desk Lamp scrap now produces light! Right at this moment you cannot turn of the light off, but this will be a feature, sometime in the future.
  • Also other small changes, like some items look better and optimization.

So basically when you throw a bottle or pot, it will only be destroyed for the player that threw it

#

Other players can pick up the previously thrown bottle/pot and (to the person who threw it) they won't see anything in their hand, but the hold animation will be active

also small and dumb request, but would it be possible to uncapitalize the 2nd first letter of each scrap item? just to bring them up to parity with vanilla

e.g. instead of "Stun Grenade" it would be "Stun grenade", as it is in basegame

you would also have to account for the name the item displays when scanned or put on the ship or something which seems to be different for some reason
