yes, was made for shotgun, and group wanted piggys. So it basically a reloadable, ammobox (recharge on ship)
so have the main mod (shotgun) and the compat mod to tie into the m4 and revolver

redid the inside (UVs), and added sounds
Instead of recharging the ammo box how about depositing ammo in the box instead? (Shotgun shells revolver ammo and magazines)
I thought of that, but I haven't gotten too far into making custom items yet. So it's like a basic Item Type which allows for a battery. I'd have to make my own extended component so I can add the tooltips and actions (did you left click, press q, press e) and then find if you have said ammo type and then refill based on that (or keep track of what's been deposited)
my 1st go was allowing the shotgun to reload from the Belt Bag
that worked out nicely since it has 15 slots
drop any tools you need, fill the rest with shells
also we have mods that are always spawning mobs 24/7 so we sort of play like some are the gunners/cleaners and the rest are pulling scrap
modpack isn't really playing LC like LC was meant to be lol. So being able to return and restock for the next run. Defending the unarmed

Maybe in the config you could just allow the default charge be the meter and when it runs out you can’t recharge it and need to buy a new box? Then in the config you could determine how much that charge would be worth

if so, i noticed odd rotations right after picking up its Karma-1. fixed by scrolling off and back on, that's the only similar issue ive had.

I have a theory on how to make it, but I need to make a gun 1st, and what nightmares can come from syncing stuff correctly.
It'd require a clever use of the particle systems + collision feature of it. Fire globs if they touch something will start to create a damaging zone until the time of life of the particle wears off, however with how enemy health is done this could be OP as most things have like 3-7 hp. So maybe a custom component might be needed so that fire instances can build up a "damage" tick
But then comes back to the syncing issue, as if I recall particles are simulated per client, so there could be a chance a client coats something in napalm but it never actually connected host side (but looks like it did client size)
I have a pretty stupid idea on how to make a flamethrower 
But those kind of weapons are not what I want to add to LC

this mod is perfect, the only thing i'd have left to ask is if the revolver was a more long range weapon unlike the shotgun and did max damage from farther away
Can I configure the amount of slots items use? I'm having issues with quickbuy and reserved slot

Reserved Slot, some of them have an option to allow other stuff in it
like the Utility Slot one
when I buy a revolver with quickbuy it becomes invisible, and uses 3 slots, one of them being the weapon slot, and when i drop it i can't pick it back up

I have reserved slots but I don't have any problems with Piggy's stuff
perhaps? honestly it could be a bug with how I had reserved slots configured because it used to work with the same exact mods
however I guess I'm not using reserved weapon slot, so maybe that's it? I don't have any weapon go to a reserve slot
oh btw for anyone currently having any issue of the guns reloading causing it to a.) drop everything b.) gun disappears or c.) all the above, use mattymatty's additionnetworking and make sure all option are on

yea guns would be op, but I think making it very jank could be better, like it having bad accuracy
I can see giving it some flaws like having to start the pilot light so 1% chance that the lighter or striker makes a flame/spark to ignite it. And then while that's on it's slowly burning fuel. so you don't just light it and go running around for the hell of it. Maybe once it gets around 50% or 25% of fuel left it can start to splutter out
I just make you have to go to hell and back to get them

minigun has the same issue with how damage/hp is. Most mobs by default already have low hp, balanced around the shovel
altho a shield or portable turret would be nice tho

yeah without stuff to make spawns more numerous Piggy's M4 does the job 90% of the time
also maybe as you fire you aim gets throw off and you have to mount it which means being stationary while firing
so great risk if you miss
as there would be a packing it up animation
so you can't just drop it and run
I think when I finishe modelling my handgun, and figure out how to get it working (peeking at Piggy's source, looks like I might need that RPC patcher thing to get custom RPCs registered??) still lost on where to start for animations and getting them to work. That looks like a mystery from Piggy's code
if you make more guns maybe you should call the mod "Lc Arsenal"
<finishing that thought> once that's done I might want to make a mod that that adjusts hps and damage (because more hp, would mean shovels doing 1 dmg would.. well.. suck) the other thing would be stun/stagger states (maybe a sort of poise or dmg based stun buildup?)
since I have a plan for several other guns (more sci-fi than realworld related)
might have some sort of incompat with certain emote mods? I think that's all I added before my player just didn't point the gun

What if there was a Speed-loader, which could allow you to load all bullets in your inventory at once (if possible)
being a pain to reload balances it a little
that was also the point of the double barrel, it's slow to reload just 1 shell, and you had to hold each shell taking up your 4 slots (vanilla) so you were juggling around just to maintain the weapon. But then you can delete more annoying mobs with ease (Bracken, Other Nutcrackers, etc)
so the revolver being similar is sort of on par, the M4 is def the "fun gun" easy 1 time reload for 30 rounds, and being able to deal with almost everything (with base hp)
and it just so happens to be balanced by being incompatible with reservedweaponslot

no, Piggy re-adds those behaviours via code. It's just a linking from Unity to the mod project is off (why you get the missing warnings) can also ignore the Null ref error too. Never seen it cause me problems

is there not a way to temporarily disable the tesla gates via the ship? like you would a turret or landmine? Had the gates spawn through the SCP interior and couldnt turn them off for folks to walk through
pretty useful/easy once you get used to the timing. unlike spike traps which can be random, or if you're too slow, get smushed
but you can disable those at the terminal so

they're roughly .7 miliseconds slower
then SL gates

Could it be possible to solve a compatibility issue with Lethal Things? The Revolvers conflict with each-other 
i disabled the revolver in lethalthings a long time ago

Hey I'm trying to add a compatibility in my mod for the m4item but when the rifle is forcefully discarded, it continues trying to shoot while on the ground and throwing null reference exceptions. Any advice on allowing it to fire while on the ground?

It seems to be caused by referencing playerHeldBy while in a dropped state. I just pushed an update that included a null check
i tried it with a revolver it drops the first time but after that never drops again, with rifle it dropped once tried picking it back up it shot while on the ground and disappeared and now i cant pick up or drop anything

I found incompatibility with the other mod called revive company which allows you to revive your company. Once revived, picking a rifle makes it automatically shoots. Also, this isn't a report of bug but is it possible in the near future to config the reload key for the rifle? Default key bind for interaction overlaps with the reload keybind.

They replace some(?) of the doors that require you to unlock at terminals. So any interior that includes those I think.

Hey there, I've been using the guns and they're working fine, but every time I hold them in hand outside of the ship, my footsteps stop making noise and there's no walking/running animation. Also the gun models dont show up in the first person. Is this a known issue with any mods?
I've used them with a different modpack and they work fine there, also.

I'm just assuming that the higher the number, the more likely it is to scrap. my mod's weighting is based on the numbers from the other mods
tesla gate is similar, but that's just my own testing to find the right value
Avoid any Object.Find() methods in Update loops since they're pretty computationally expensive, you should cache references and use those instead if you need them
For the Jester you can attach a MonoBehaviour to it when it spawns and run stuff there, so it's contained within Jester instances and not running all the time, I'm doing something similar in here for MoreCounterplay but I'm parenting a prefab instead of a single script (which in my case is JesterSurface)
yeah most of them are mods I developed when I first started developing, so I probably didn't consider performance haha

The mod is very amazing. But the main disadvantage is that the recoil from the rifle and revolver is not realized. Also the sound could be changed to more realistic. And it would be nice to add more weapons, for example, machine gun, rocket launcher
I don't think the recoil would take many lines of code, I may be wrong. But your mod lacks that.

Might be an older issue, but ShowCapacity seems to conflict with EladsHUD, idk if that's your fault or Elad's.
This appears always, regardless if I'm holding anything. If I do hold an item like weedkiller and use it, it does kinda work in a broken way.

hey guys, a crew of mine made his modpack but the revolver and the rifle makes the visual glitching, we can see the weapons on hands but on "our hands" we just see nothing and sometimes the revolver cancel all animations of our playermodel and makes him A posing and walking sounds is disabled too
ho well the rifle makes us A posing too

tried desperately to help a friend get their account unbanned for sus behavior (all they did was rejoin a server). i got human answers telling me that they need to contact discord themselves, but whenever they sent in a ticket, they only got a bot answer explaining why they were banned.

How would you know that? DoorBreach works completely fine so long as Piggy's isn't present 🤔 the only time it had some issues was before the networking rewrite after he added compat for Moonswept for whatever reason but the networking update solved all those issues. Compat with Piggy's mod probably broke before 1.2.0

@bold saddle I created a pull request on github to fix the loading error and improved compatibility with other mods that use custom animations. The original animator is now saved and restored every time you drop/swap weapons
I don't know if the original code was supposed to do that but I can say that that thing didn't work
anyway I also had something to ask, do you actually use the netcode-patcher or not because by decompiling the mod the fields with [ClientRpc] or [ServerRpc] do not seem to have been touched compared to the original code
I wonder if this could relate to why having the scraps on the ship causes you to be unable to close out lobbies in Multiplayer possibly. It seems the scraps get registered weirdly. I know the guns aren't affected though

I'm not sure exactly, but it looks like the other platform account(reddit, steam etc) linked to the old account was blacklisted.
I connected them to my old alt account and that seems to be causing the issue(my current name is just alt acc + piggy in korean). and I'm not sure, but it looks like discord's auto deletion process is no longer happening (or maybe i'll have to wait 2 years).
Well I guess since you're in here again you might be able to see the recent stuff lol. Entity pushed a pr for your mod recently to fix a couple issues they discovered and I discovered the reason I couldn't back out of lobbies with the mod present appears to be due to the scraps. According to Turtles the Rifle and Revolver are fine so it's one of the others that causes it for whatever reason lol, I still wonder why your og Discord account got flagged to begin with though. Knowing Discord they won't ever give you a valid response
oh yeah I checked. I didn't check the lobby related fixes so I'm not sure, but for some reason the animation issue didn't work well when I tested it. I left a question in the pr's comment so I'll try to push an update later when I can
I already answered in the PR but I'll update everyone here too. I haven't tested with the better emote since I discovered after it was deprecated on thunderstore. The only mod that I knew for sure had an incompatibility with the animator was the AC and so I tested with that. The result is that it works. As for the better emote I can try to see how it works and how to solve that problem too (even if in my opinion it's useless since now the better emote is deprecated)

I took a quick look and it's a problem of better emote, basically it seems like it replaces the original animator with its own every frame, and there's no fix for that in piggys variety. It's the creator of the better emote that has to replace the animator only once/in specific cases and not every single frame regardless.
It would be enough that they replace the animator only when you emote by saving a copy of the original one and restoring it once you stop emoting. This is the same mechanism I introduced in piggys variety
Is it possible to add the rifle, revolver and their respective ammo to the reserved weapon and ammo slots? I don't know if I'm getting the names of the weapons and ammo wrong when I type them in the config or if the mods just aren't compatible with each other
Does anyone else have the problem of the revolver refusing to reload with anything but the previous default "E" key? Rifle loads fine with "R" or any other key and even updates it in the top right UI while revolver is still stuck on "E".
The keybind in the settings affects both of them. So you either have to use "E" for both (which is annoying with the rifle) or just lose the ability to reload the revolver.
Quickly tried Piggys Variety Mod only with no extra mods. Same problem, so it can't be a conflict with the other mod.

It's normal, piggy forgot to add a battery to the gummyflashlight object. It then results in null reference exception. it happens that it gives that error but it doesn't cause any problems considering that the gummyflashlight wouldn't work and would be unattainable anyway
when someone is reloading a revolver the "Load ammo:[R]" text appears on everyone elses screen for some reason

I added it, but now I have to rewrite all the servers and clients RPCs so I don't recommend doing an update at the moment
unless i did something wrong, everything should be synced correctly now (i updated/fixed the RPCs). also, @blazing flame remember to use netcodepatcher when you compile the mod
for some reason even though the code is compiled correctly (I saw it with dnspy) the game seems to refuse to initialize the RPCs (the error can be seen in the console)
but almost certainly it's just my problem and not a general one

betteremote overwrites the animator every time, so the problem is with the betteremote itself and not with the other mods. But I can assure you that the method I implemented in piggy's works (with the advanced company in fact the bugs regarding the animator are solved)

At the code level the biggest problem is to synchronize everything correctly between client and server. Personally I consider the animations and animator management part the most complex part

So thats why i been having issues lately, recently i get a Network error message the moment i click "Online" on the game boot up, if i dare continue with loading a save file it gives me the black screen. but i find it weird since it was working before with no problems, but oh well such is the nature of mods and other things getting updated that causes issues :'3

i think it's another mod causing black screen, I'm running a 130 mod pack with piggy's and the only issue related to networking i've encountered would be multiplayer ammo and shooting syncing
last time i had the black screen with tzp overlay bug it was due to lethallevelloader which is now fixed and in the past, "general improvements"

Hey guys I'm pushing an update for the variety mod since I just pushed the LC Office update.
I just want to clarify I don't necessarily plan to update this mod myself at this time. This is just a push of a fixed version of Entity378's fork of the mod that's been pending for a while. I did not do any of the work on this aside from fix the netcode patcher. I talked to both piggy and entity about this and did very light testing. (also big thanks to vodka for testing more stuff)
It's mostly just bug fixes though so hopefully it should be good. :)

yeah. just a reminder it is not my intent to maintain this mod too. But I will at very least look into more game breaking problems like this. i don't plan to try and deep dive fix everything but I'll do a little to get you stable if it is absolutely needed. small bugs like the flashlight turning on when you drop it i probably won't bother with though.

btw about this, on normal cupboard it happens for me too but it doesn't do that for smart cupboard
The smart cupboard is an edge case I think
I think cus of how it loads it into it's memory it prevents it basically, if you place an Action Figure that's doing an animation in the Smart Cupboard it completely halts it too
my guess is it makes a duplicate with the same properties as the original which is why it resets states

oh you know what, while i'm here i have a log from last night with a bunch of errors pertaining to the gummy flashlight, first image is pocketing, second image is picking something up with gummy in hand. Didn't seem to affect anything that i'm aware of (didn't check if it caused the t posing from above) so might be harmless? does involve rpc errors though

that one was weird i did a hotfix on lc office side but in testing i could only get it to happen sometimes so im not sure the exact reason for it but it should be fixed in the next office update

nah dude you're good. the netcode thing was something i messed up by not running the little code snipit i sent you in dms properly. The T-pose thing was also not that hard to fix i just had to replace one of your harmony patches with a different one.

I'm definitely not the person to ask this. based on the code i went through to make that hotpatch i think piggy was replacing the player animator entirely with one that includes the gun animations which is why emote mods didn't work. part of entity's fork changed this slightly to basically swap the player animator to piggy's when holding one of the gun items and returning it to the old one after dropping it or switching slots
yeah i was kinda worried it was replacing the entire animator
but its nice to hear that at least you have to be using the gun for it to do that now
i think the idea is it should work in the new update as long as you're not holding a gun when you emote but i haven't tested it myself
Currently, the mod only replaces the animator when holding a weapon, otherwise the original one is restored. If a similar method is used in other mods the conflicts are reduced. The reason it conflicts with the better emote is because the better emote seems to replace the animator every frame.

players seem to lose their sprint animation after using a weapon from piggy's variety mod
I'm not sure about this, but it could be that the animator is different between the current player (you) and the other players. If so, you should save the right animator for each player.
I tried to fix the mod with the free time I had left and now I just don't have the time to do it anymore
iirc the code only made a copy of the local player so the fps animator for restoring so we'd need to copy the other one somewhere?
pressing E makes the gummy flashlight start/stop draining without affecting the light, and sends this log every time its pressed
that log just means the bound key itself is working properly
at least to my understanding

but that key should probably be unbound from the battery depletion

i believe both of those would be using custom written components yes. depending on what you're wanting to create you may not need that yourself. it entirely depends what your objective is

was getting this when client uses the gummy flashlight
i believe its from shaking it to charge
it causes the flashlight beam to stop working for host (and i assume everyone else) but the emissive texture is still active
and turning it off and on again fixes it
something i might recommend is posting the issues you've found to the github page for this mod if you haven't already. There's currently nobody working on maintaining this mod but when somebody does pick this back up it'd be more convenient for them if all the things they need to look into are listed and organized over there.

probably the animator is not restored correctly or a "wrong" one is restored, I'm 99% sure that it's a piggys issue and not a compatibility issue

i dont think thats intended, the point of it is being able to shake it to recharge it
if it is intended, i feel like it kinda ruins the point
i love it that way tho, it makes it more balanced imo, and you constantly have to be shaking it so the battery doesnt deplete
so you need to be more careful
it is an infinite flashlight unless you forget to shake it
the point is to remember to shake it
it would be too good if it could recover itself from empty
you still gotta keep some charge and remember to charge it

i think the very short amount of time it stays lit and the annoyance of shaking it constantly balances it out (unless thats been changed, last time i tried using the gummy flashlight was when it was unimplemented)
the battery was increased a lot when it was officially implemented
so i think its a good balance
and punishes you for not paying attention to your battery

my understanding from talks I've had is piggy was looking for a maintainer. Entity did some bug fixes but got busy with other life stuff and stopped working on it. If anyone with experience doing that sort of thing wants to they could probably try and reach out to piggy like I did for lc office.
