Malfunctioning Doors Mod

This mod makes doors a little more... Hazardous...

Doors can have a malfunction assigned to it.
Depending on the malfunction, it can behave it creepy or hazardous ways.

These are all Malfunctions this mod currently adds:

  • Open / Close Malfunction (Doors will sometimes refuse to open/close)
  • Lock Malfunction (Doors might lock themselves, forcing them to stay open or closed until a key is used)
  • Eat Key Malfunction (Doors might eat keys instead of unlocking)
  • Explode Malfunction (A ghost hand might push you away and deal damage by doing so. You can just open them and walk through, but be careful when they are closed!)
  • Random Open / Close Malfunction (Doors will just open and close randomly)

Is it saying that it explodes when you interact with it and its fine if its already open?

The explosion only deals 10 damage and since there's also a slight cooldown, you'd need to hit yourself 11 times before you die ๐Ÿ™‚

Btw in my modpack we had some desync issues ๐Ÿค” rn im watching Lunx and they did not have desync issues so maybe its not this mod, but what me and my friends had was peeps went through doors that were closed for others or opened already opened doors lol

Yeah it's a desync with this mod @cedar haven a door closed for me but not for my friend and I had to then open it twice cus it "closed" then opened the second time

Some ideas

#
  • explosion door : locked door that show "lokced door" and explode when you put the key (after that the door is open and not closable)

  • sacrifice door : the door open only if you give her a dead body
#
  • bumber door :push you back really strong when open the door
#
  • Softlock door : A closed door without locks, you can only open it with guns and explosions

just found out this mod and i love the concept, reminds me of dark mist but better, i just wanted to say if its possible to make the malfunctioning doors have a different texture instead of regular doors

There's no universal solution for this that I can think of

It could maybe be only facility doors for the moment, since storehouse and storage complex (and tower maybe i dont remember) also use the same doors, and maybe do a mansion and mineshaft variations, i guess it would be harder to do ๐Ÿ˜ฆ
