how do I find out if ram usage kills the game?
I'm sorry I usually removed mods and started the game until it crashed no more but since these crashes only happen like 25% of the time with all mods it's kind of hard to determine what causes the crash
There appears to be a pretty huge bug where using this alongside Cursed Items causes the chips + items to come out cursed
Adding the chips to the exclusion list helps with their spawns, but using items on the ATM and any gambling station seems to "respawn" the items in my hand, which will add in another curse to them somehow, raising the price each time I do, granting infinite money
UPDATE: It appears to be a result of Cursed Scrap updating just a day ago and reworking its entire framework, breaking its interactions with the casino. Rolling back to a version before the update resolves the issue.

I just tried manually installing Lethal Casino and it does not work. Could someone help? It comes with these files. I copied over the assets file and the .dll into the plugin folder
The issue is that when i go to Gordion it never loads the moon
it stays stuck at waiting for players.
It doesnt happen on other moons just the one where the casino spawns.

yes and no, you can set up launch parameters in steam for lethal to launch the modded profile

And before installing lethal mods in r2 do I have to delete the existing ones I got rn?
I use gale so I just click profile and copy launch arguments, right click lethal in steam click properties and paste in launch options.
Unsure if thunderstore or r2 has it as easily accessible but I'm sure they do

All mod launchers use profiles to store files separately to each other and anything you have in your game folder, so even if you have mods manually installed they won't affect any managers

in that case, what I'd do first is disable all the lights in the spawned prefab and see how much performance improves
if it doesn't improve, then that's not the issue and you gotta check elsewhere, perhaps with the profiler

with my mod which just changes everything in the casino building to be tagged as room I get this huge spike that crashes my GPU driver after some time (and the game)

yeah that spike is the core usage, and the bottom one is vram, no idea if it rendered a frame
it just freezes my computer then I get the AMD driver crash notification and lethal dies
testing an extremely minimal collider and tag change and so far no crash
(currently the mod does everything including the bottles and random junk)
I think it also loaded faster so I'm gonna update it
very strange for the memory usage to spike from that

Wait, Badhamknibbs, are you okay with making another soft patch for the mod? my friend has been complaining about the volume of the slot machines ever since we installed, we dont wanna just lower and raise the volume constantly every time we dock, I'm wondering if you are willing to make small patches, if you could do something about that? I dont care about the casino volume, I'd be okay with literally 0 sound if its easiest to just make a "the casino makes no sound" patch but volume sliders for individual elements would be neato too, so we could still hear stuff but just it be a reasonable volume instead of inside our earlobes
Don’t worry, @wanton birch and myself haven’t gone anywhere, we can talk with you to make sure we have this fix added into the main version along with a few other bug fixes, that we were actually planning on releasing very soon 😆. This was actually being worked on already when it was first mentioned a few days ago. From time to time we just have to pick and choose our battles to only fix game breaking bugs initially with other fixes taking longer and being farther back in the backlog.
We can also look into the volume, should be a config option we can add. @tawny mesa
Volumetric lighting us something we can look into, but it is a very small % of people that run into that issue, so it hasn’t been fixed yet, because like many have noticed at the end of the day it helps make the casino more inviting.

How can I install the casino? I placed the .dll file in plugins, but i always crashes
lessening the amount of volumetric lighting or maybe doing baked lighting would be nice.
in VR, the performance hit from volumetric lighting is even more noticeable worse since it’s doing 2x times more.

Okay, the issue is with the OneshotMoons mods
KibaTheBarbarian and I have been troubleshooting and found that once OneshotMoons was disabled, it worked. We're testing one last time to make sure nothing else could be causing it
Notably, OneshotInteriors works

@urban quiver @sick pumice hard to tell for sure from the logs, but seems like it may be related to LethalMon (not sure what this is) causing errors right before LethalCasino is able to register the network prefabs, so when the casino attempts to spawn the network prefabs don't exist

bc luck affects betting on a single number just as much as a group
unless im wrong about that
if i had a roulette luckiness of 10%, if i bet on an even it would bring my chances of landing on a winning number from 50% to 55%, however if i bet on any singular number, it would bring my chances from ~2.70% to ~12.43%
this is mainly a problem because betting on a single number multiples scrap value by 35 whereas even is only 2x
therefore the difference in expected profits is massive. For an even bet, a roulette luckiness of 10% would bring the average scrap value of 1x to 1.1x, but for single number bet the average would go from 0.946x to 4.35x
@wild crow you’re right, I always planned on revisiting this at some point to make it scale differently but since most players aren’t aware of how it works internally, it was never very high priority 😅 Especially since you can set it to 0% if you want a completely fair experience

Obviously players could configure that to be totally broken, but if players are gonna configure shit to be totally broekn they already could set the roulette table to be 100% and if their gonna do that they might as well just add a cheat mod and type /giveme 100000 moneys

Just a few things I would like to note, add, or adjust (some of these may have been said already, but I'm naming things from the top of my head)
~Configurable betting amounts, similar to how the volume control for boombox mod works (being able to press - or + to increase or decrease the amount you're betting so that you don't have to split an item at the atm every time you don't want to risk it all)
~Configurable wheel (I know this one has been said but I wanted to add my own feedback) I would love some kind of configuration with the odds and outputs of the wheel as well as speed of the wheel itself if possible.
+Compatibility with Object Volume Controller to turn the turn the Jukebox up or down in game
+Configurable or additional slots (more than 3 people being excited for quota day to come so that they can game can really slow things down when there isn't much ability for everyone to gamble at the same time and usually ends with most players hanging out on the ship getting bored while everyone else gambles)
+Loot Bug Racing! (or creature racing (like horse/dog track racing)) with configurable odds similar to the roulette table

The irony is that iirc if you add up all the values on the wheel and divide by the amount of outcomes, statistically you end up more likely to earn value rather than lose
So, as long as you bring enough scrap or break scrap down into chips, the wheel is free profit most of the time
Once we figured it out me and my friends either gentlemans to never use it or roll back to an older version of the mod without it, since it still doesnt have a config option
This is all assuming the wheel doesnt use its own weird weighting system tho and it is truly just random, but from our experience when we did use it alot prior to finding out, yes we consistently made alot of money, definitely noticeable to prior to that update.
Tho now me and my group are getting that chip-weight bug thats patched in the newer versions, so we'll probably be forced to use the latest and just agree to not use the wheel

ok i solved my problem, i just installed this whole folder inside the plugins folder of bepinex and it works now
i used mod manager and make it install the mod on a copy of the game and the went into "AppData -> Roaming -> Thunderstore Mod Manager -> DataFolder -> LethalCompany -> profiles -> [your profile] -> BepInEx -> plugins" and then copied the entire mod already installed and pasted it in my game folder (i have to do this for reasons 😃)

both of them, the .dll file is including all of the scripts and the assets have textures, models, and other important stuff
I have a suggestion. Add a $25 option to the atm because 50 is too rich for my blood and 10 is not spicy enough. Also it would make using the wheel a little easier.

Another thought i've had, a config for a blacklist of item IDs to prevent them from being able to be gambled or used on the ATM at all would be nice
Main use case i can think of is theres several mods that add strong melee weapons that normally have a good sell value
The tradeoff is kinda gone tho if you just remove all the value from it via chips and keep it

There have been some people in here that have done that. We do recommend using R2 Modman though. Makes things a lot easier. But if you have bepinex the DLL from thunderstore just goes into the plugins folder and then it will work. You will also need to drag in the lethalcasinoassets file into the plugins folder.

The beer has different effects on the player the more you drink. Both the beer and the pipe have effects actually.

This is something we talked about in development and it will most likely be added in a future release. Customizing beer prices would cause the pricing sign behind the bar to be removed since its not something that is easily adaptable based on config changes

Hi @lofty locust I tried figuring out the cause but there's too many mods affecting the way the game starts up, making it hard to debug. It's probably caused by an interaction with some other mod installed.

i don’t know how you handle the animations, but could it potentially conflict with emote mods?
maybe you could ask other emotes modders on here their experience with handling animation-item interactions. they’ve probably ran into similar issues before.
I don't think they should conflict with emotes. The beer and pipe are still normal GrabbableObjects, with additional internal moving parts.

The beer effects fade as you stop drinking. The more you drink the higher the effect level goes up. The less you drink the more it goes down.

Hey all! My friends and I love this Casino mod, but we were running into the 'chip bag despawn issue'. I just found a workaround for this! If you use the 'ShipInventory' mod by WarperSan. You can place the chip bags inside that mod's container and they WON'T despawn if you leave the game. Hope this helps others that were running into this!

It slowly fades away after using the pipe. Increases as you use it, up to the max. And then lowers slowly once you stop
perhaps a new vegas style "you feel lucky" to let you know that it's in effect as a notification?

It's about as rare as a Gold bar by default, but with configurable spawn weight. Min 36 Max 172 value. Left clicking while holding the Cigar box will drop 1 - 4 Cigar(s) on the ground.
Cigars are always worth 11 and can be smoked like the lucky pipe and will improve your gambling luck in the same way.
Loot Item - Gold-plated lighter
it's about as rare as Zed dog by default, but with configurable spawn weight. Min 101 Max 129 value. Picking up the Gold-plated lighter makes you feel slightly lucky, and setting it down causes the luck to instantly wear off. When you have it in your inventory, smoking is worth 1.5x more luck.

If we were to add something to blackjack it would be split and double down. But at the moment no timeline on when that would happen. Just blackjack itself at its current state was extremely complex and probably took 40+ hours to create when it was added

If the building size was to be increased, I think that it would be nice to have more instances of the wheel of fortune, in order to not have to wait each other to be done to gamble more scrap. The mod is already amazing tho!

Three "Bars" or Three Bells = Medium Jackpot (3x Multiplier)
Three Fruits = 2x Multiplier
Two of any kind matched = 1.5x multiplier
No matches = -50% of the items value
Three skulls = Total Loss
Although we did change these for the Halloween update, its only the symbols that are different. The multipliers still remain.
Cherry is now Witch hat, Lemon is now ghost, Bell is now candy, Lime is now cauldron, bar is now bat, orange is now pumpkin, 7 is now a spooky 7, skull and crossbones is mow gravestone.
Hopefully that clears that up for you.

hello, I am again here now that theres improved casino configs to suggest that there be a config for black jack and roulette to rig it in favour of the house instead of the player. I love that they now have a config but I sadly wont be using the mod until im able to rig blackjack and roulette in favour of the house
@simple swallow Blackjack should naturally favor the house slightly since the dealer plays last. Even when players and the dealer bust, the house wins (player loses money)
I'd just like to configure it to do so even more. I don't see any reason as to not have it as a config as theres now a config for favouring it for the player. just a personal choice thing

Just wanna bump this to mention again, i think it would be really nice to get a simple config to blacklist IDs of items we dont want to be able to be gambled / have chips taken off for balancing n stuff in packs, along with a toggle "whitelist into blacklist" option as its commonly seen in alot of these configs
Would be really helpful for any particular buggy scrap thats known to cause issues with the Casino, or just for general balancing
Could also lead into some fun challenges where the only item you can gamble for example is the Apparatus
Lots of mods also add "useful scraps" like weapons or the emergency dice for example, where they are balanced around having a higher value because selling them means you lose the utility...but if you gamble/atm the value off then it goes kinda silly so i often have to lower the values of these items in my pack

Update on my gambling addicted friends: We've since started to make use of the "gambling pile" where we put all items worth less than 40 
Maybe it's an idea you can use if your friends also gamble away all your scrap

With r2, you can download an older version when you're adding it to a pack

I have it set to fun and it seems like either I'm very lucky or it's nearly impossible to lose on that setting (which I assumed is what OP would do instead)
I also do have the same question but I kinda lose with the fun set so I thought the op set makes you impossible to lose. Haven't tried OP setting tho

We made it this way so that you can split your big scrap item into a bunch of smaller chip bags that way you don't have to use the entire scrap item all at once if you don't want to. If you want to use the full value of the item, there is no need to exchange it for chips.

@lofty locust I had this issue and fixed it, I believe once I removed lethal expansion and anything to do with it. I only use stuff that uses lethal level loader and the evaisa sdk

When we first added the chips to the mod we found the bug and there is something that makes it unfixable. Time has been devoted to trying to fix it and there was not something that could fix it. It’s something we can circle back around to at some point.

You don't neeeeed to exchange scrap for chips either- normal scrap can be gambled too, it's just generally smart to buy chips.
Excited to try the casino out in vr with my friends :D I noticed that when you have a bet on the roulette it renders in the wrong position in the other eye, making it hard to read. Other than that it seems to work perfectly fine. Didnt test if you can see luck effect notifications from smoking
Nothing smart about it. That ETM exists just to allow you to split the scrap value. No difference in functionallity otherwise.
Noticed that if this mod and LCR are both enabled, then the casino doesn't unload when you leave the company, allowing you to gamble on any moon (unless terrain blocks the entrance). But when you return to the company, the blue shipping containers don't unload, blocking the entrance to the casino (can still use the slot machines through the wall though)
Pros: Gamble on any moon
Cons: Can't gamble at the company

im using lethalconfig to change the roullette luck, but nothing changes in the odds. I believe this is a problem with the "realistic, fun, OP" modifier, but even when I leave it blank the roulette odds still dont change. someone help😢

while at the blackjack table, me and a group of friends were playing, and someone else decided to be funny and murder one of the other players at the table with a shovel before he could hit or stand with his cards
this left the blackjack table completely locked up, even after i got a blackjack, so i had to stare at my 21 and walk away with no rewards and no more card games for the night because one of the players died in the middle of the game
could you implement some kind of timer to the blackjack table that automatically makes a player "stand" with their deck if they become deceased or after a certain amount of time passes? so the table doesnt become locked up for everybody else?
is there double down or splitting in blackjack?

So I wanted to ask, I found that i could change my valuses for luckiness to one hundred but my win and loss rate doesn't seem to be different for blackjack nor roulette even after a restart, am I just dumb or do I not understand the mod
Luckiness just increase the chances by little, is not the overall win probability.
Ex. the pipe luckiness boost is 100, but it increases the "positive" win chances, it does not let you win with a 100% rate
If you are looking to increase your amount of wins you can change the config for the odds 🙂
@lyric echo Hi. I am new to LC modding but I am comfortable writing code. I was hoping to tweak the mod so that the Blackjack deck is only shuffled when below some threshold. I see that CreateDeck is called on each DealServerRpc call.
I was thinking that I could move the CreateDeck call into DealCard, conditionally calling it if the deck.Count() is below that threshold (and triggering the shuffle sound).
My questions for you are:
- Is there a repository or somewhere that I could contribute such a change?
- If not, is that actually a change I can make to the decompiled source code?

I've updated my LethalCasinoTweaks mod to:
- Only reshuffle cards that are out of play
- Make the deck on the table shrink as the number of cards decreases
- Only play the shuffle sound when a shuffle actually occurs
In the next week or two I may try to implement doubling down. As it is now, though, you can card count pretty reliably if you know how.

i made it a house rule that you can only gamble a couple of items, cuz otherwise the card table would take all night

preventing new games/bets from being placed after a timer would probably not be too crazy
physically closing the casino and moving people out of it would probably be annoying

For a possible workaround to the bug, would it be possible to set up something that does the inverse of the ATM?
As in move money from the chip bags back into a piece of scrap. I can't imagine this impossible since we can bet with the scrap and get added-value on them when winning, so why not value transferred from the chip bags?

I’m a big fan of your LethalCasino mod, and I’d love to see it work seamlessly with Wesley’s Moons—specifically, the Galetry moon.
Since Galetry is a corporate-controlled moon, it feels like the perfect place to integrate gambling mechanics from LethalCasino. It would make a lot of sense thematically and add even more depth to both mods.

Could anyone please just move the ATM in the casino or add a second one? It it currently placed horribly if you really intend on doing a lot of gambling with the way betting works. There really should be an ATM in the pit since that's where all the gambling is taking place.

Like i said, its different from the company, being so stale. also it has a gift shop and feels more alive. I don't care if it takes me an extra 30secs to sell. The experience itself is new and refreshing. Like there's no reason not to add it, lots of people want it. Just because you don't doesn't mean others don't. The Dev of Wesley's Moons even tried getting in contact with him but no reply, sadly. There is 100% demand for it.

I believe this to be a bug. It increases the chance of loosing the higher your luckiness gets.
I think what the author wanted to do here is other way around. Something like this:
