something i did love in southpost though was how SH would often trick you. like he'd pretend to be an officer on the radio telling you to lie down on the ground and wait and if you listen he murks you. same with one of the endings|| where he emulates a police siren and if you go to that he GETSCHA||

I think the main problem of the forest giant is it never stops following, so you never really get away

-Fools you with the dropship theme and the tree thing
-maybe capable of getting on all fours like that one fangame (crazy suggestion but an idea)
-electrical interference that shuts off walkies and flickers lights

you can kinda see bro from a mile away. something id also maybe suggest is to make him make the other audio quiet, and make the siren itself quieter, that way you get the illusion of a deafening siren without actually being deafening

The mod's creator is free to do whatever they want, including using or not using the original character sounds. You are welcome to provide your input to them, but their mod thread is not a place for random arguments.

If you disagree with the mod author's choices, go make your own sirenhead mod. It's actually that simple.

That is what Masa is doing yes, apologies if it came across as forcing. Masa was only talking about the existence of the Sirenhead sound and that Masa was surprised to not have heard it yet.

maybe, but im still working on some sounds. (the original siren head sound is a real tornado siren btw, called alternate wail tone)
it sounds slightly scary, but if ur in like march or rend, i think the regular tornado siren sounds more terrifying
especially if it sounds like it's in the distance somewhere
because u cant see it but u know it's approaching ur location
definitley not this one though, theres clipping from the wind and its kinda high pitched, ill get to work though because that would be terrifying
that was the first video i found, but the high pitched is pretty unsettling

we cant use it for many reasons besides that too, clipping, backround sounds, wind, yeh. stereo orientation is slightly off too

from my point of view, the siren head played the animation but my friend's body was not in sync with the animation and they were floating around in the air

yes there is a death animation, no it doesn't mimic your voice, yes it's compatible with skinwalker (although i highly recommend using Mirage instead)

New to siren head. What does he do when added to the game?
He only spawns on vow. When sighting a player he will chase them and blare sirens. In the near future he will hide as a tree in plain sight and wait for players.
you can use AC spawn config and he will spawn on any moon

Actually the problem is that the eye it's seeing with is way up in the air and I'm pushing a fix for that now and making him speed up when he sees a player so that he can actually get people
Now it should be able to catch the player.
dont you think it's more interesting if the player ends up actively walking into it? if you make him speed up then you'd have just made a bigger forest keeper which i dont think fits SH at all
When the tree animation is in I think I'm going to have him randomly decide weather to chase the player or not when he sees them in the hiding mode.

How so? It seems like if it can't catch players it'd never be a threat and would become boring
Even if it surprised you by being super close, if you spotted it you'd basically be free
Maybe to differentiate it from a forest giant, it can slow down after a length of time or lose track of you

That shouldn't be a problem. The assets are loaded specifically from the assets stored in the siren head folder. If the other mods don't work that would be a problem with their asset bundle loading.
I could open a pull request on their github repos to help if that's the case
mels doesn't work when siren is enabled, and voodoo doesn't work when mels or siren is enabled

Looking at their code our asset loaders should technically all work when loaded together but I'll have to look into it.

if you are, then you can change spawn weight however you want
if you want it to spawn more often, you can increase the spawn weight or even put it on other moons.

Cause it just never spawns for us due to it being registered as a vanilla enemy, and our vanilla enemies are broken

New release just came out. There is a configuration file now and it syncs the config to all the clients. The AIStart option is so that people can choose whether or not the tree should work so if you want to test the tree behavior set that to "tree".

Can you make him be able to reach inside the ship to grab people out? Right now it feels like dogs are the only danger to in ship people, so I think it would be a neat mechanic if he could go down on his knees and reach into the shoot to kill somebody. It could have a limit for how far he could reach or something. Just a suggestion don’t feel any pressure about doing it or anything
