Hitmarker - Update v1.1.0

  • Hopefully fixed issue where nutcrackers or other would sometimes trigger the hitmarker.
  • Added kill message that shows when you or another player kills an enemy.
  • Removed hitmarkers when hitting other players due to issues.
  • Hitmarker image now turns red when the hit kills the enemy.
  • Extended message duration.
  • Messages now have a fade-out animation.
  • Added showKillMessage and onlyShowLocalKillMessage config settings.

on v1.1.0 it dropped line on the console when u damage enemy, on v1.1.1 theres basically nothing?

oh note that it affects all form of damage to the enemy from shovel, shotgun, and even lethalthings rocket launcher

my best guess is a giant despawned (?) and the game attributed the kill to the host or smth

Seeing a giant death message shouldn't be possible in the latest version of the mod unless another mods allows giants to die or does something weird with entities.

Hey this mod is broken for the Maneater and I was wondering if you’d be willing to fix it

I get a red hitmarker and a “Killed Maneater” message while the Maneater still has 1-2hp left

Thinking the mod probably just had the wrong hp value for the Maneater?

Ugh yeah it’s this BS fucking Zeekers

Uniquely, when in the Adult Phase, a Maneater takes 1 damage from all sources that are not classified as an instant kill.
This includes melee Weapons, a Double-barrel, Landmines, and the Company Cruiser (at lower speeds).

It might still be worth patching Hitmarker to accurately reflect how much damage you’re doing to the Maneater without the damage patch since it is incorrectly not taking that rule into account

I would disagree, Zeekers intentionally made all sources of damage deal only 1 to the Maneater

And it seems that this mod is not taking that into account, as it reports more than 1 damage

It seems this mod gets the damage number before that capping to 1 is applied

It's literally pulling the numbers the game provides, meaning internally Zeekerss just did some weird logic

Remember a lot of the stuff Zeekerss does is coded a bit strange

Yeah I think we’re basically agreeing, Zeekers clearly put in some weird special case logic for the Maneater that this mod doesn’t take into account

hello~ I'm using Lethal Hands with this mod. I noticed that when dealing damage by punching, the damage display is not accurate. should I report this too on Lethal Hands thread?

the damage is supposed to be 0.5 (default values) but even when its a whole number like 1, still displays --22 hp
