Im a dubstep producer, so naturally i am attracted to musical content like a circut bee to its nest. i want add the wonderful dubstep gun to lethal company. in many different skins, with many different genres and sounds to go with them.

i would like this to be similar to the zap gun, (without locking, and maybe some fancy effects) but it goes to the music, and can do different things based on what gun you currently have. (this model comes with a ton of textures, and if we run out, i can make some more)

id like to implement some sort of randomizer system. you buy a gun from the shop, but you dont get to choose what audio or texture or anything, it sends you a random one.

the unity model is attached to the post.

EDIT: to try to make this as little work for the programmer as possible (unless they would like to do these things) i will

i need some ideas. ive had ideas that some can stun, some can do small damage over time. some can disorientate eyeless dogs and other things that can hear. one that can blind things, one that can trace enemies for a little bit (like wallhacks kinda) idk.
i dont want to make it too advanced
but want it to be unique
oh maybe one can launch you up high if you point it at your feet
even if they all did the same thing i would be happy lol. its really up to the programmer

yo for the record, it woukld be VERY COOL to have 3 different lasers fired and decompile each of your songs into 3 tracks that plays the song correctly when overlayed, but have the volume of each track be what determines what laser is fire and the strength of each laser

so the most powerful laser would be the BASS I figure so you would seperate the bass to a seperate audio track which fires a laser whenever the bass track makes noise so its strength would also vary based on where you are in the song and how much bass is present

and track seperation would be high, mids, and lows

i mean.. getting the dubstep gun ingame and adding the sounds is quickly doable, as i got the experience from working on LittleCompany. There are just two flaws:

  • Currently working alone on LittleCompany, which takes up all my free time beside work, university and parenting
  • No experience with effects. Already seeking for someone who helps out for LittleCompany ones, so i doubt it's easy to find one for this, too. Don't wanna start working on it without having animations in sight 🥲

honestly with as many tracks as you made (and continue to make) i think it's definitely gonna be important to have a checklist in the config for what tracks you want to show up.

partially due to music taste, but also because it would lessen the load

Alternatively the gun can be its own mod and you can release groups of tracks as their own mods with it as a dependency. Again, for taste and to save space.

And with the latter, it could serve as a framework for others who enjoy the gun to add their own tracks, which would be cool.
