I thought the new enemies didn't spawn on Wesley moons
I swear I saw a man-eater today
On one of your moons
I got a question. Do you have to add the mineshaft interior manually through lethal level loader to get it to spawn on Wesley's moons?

Moon makers pick what vanilla interiors the moon uses and their probabilities, so he’d have to update the moons to add it to their pool. His interiors are a separate thing. Modded interiors sort of get injected into a moon’s interior pool, so him updating his interiors won’t do anything for getting mineshaft to spawn on his moons, if that makes sense and if I’m understanding your question.

anyone known any issues of wesley moons with other interiors? Been having issues with perma loading screens, unsure if thats due to a combination of interiors + moons combos. Was also having on base moons too though and the only interiors I had were wesleys and poolrooms

Wtf is negative loot? Do hoarding bugs just swarm the ship and take everything or if you don’t have anything they leave a bill and expect you to pay it off in scrap? Or maybe they start disassembling the ship. First they take the bunk bed, then the locker. Eventually it’s the terminal and landing/takeoff lever.

You play as the person who put all of the scrap there for other employees to find
I made a equation where you're calculating the new total scrap value after adding the negative scrap to your existing scrap:
Equation:
Let:
sOld = original scrap worth (e.g., $60)
sNegative = negative scrap worth (e.g., -$30)
sNew = new total scrap worth after combining both
The equation is now here:
sNew=sOld+sNegativesNew = sOld + sNegativesNew=sOld+sNegative
Am example:
If sOld = 60 and sNegative = -30, then:

So, the new total scrap worth (sNew) is $30.
like lets say you have some loot and your total scrap worth is 60$, then you bring the negative scrap and its worth -30$, then you put it in the ship, and your ship loop is now worth 60$, 60 - 30 = 30

Actually, some rare enemy that just fucks with the ship’s ignition but is otherwise harmless is an interesting idea. Like, you’ve got to go outside the ship to some panel that it messes with and fix it or you can’t take off (maybe the autopilot still works though so you can’t use it to stay beyond the end of the day).
Maybe if you catch it before it completes the sabotage (like just look at it), it’ll run off and then wait a random amount of time before coming back.

I’m pretty sure they’re good. I think the moons are missing some of the most recent content, but they still work fine and you could probably mess with config stuff to make it generate anyway.
Actually, there was an issue that would cause messing with the moon config to break the moon’s custom scrap. Not sure if that’s been fixed but I don’t think so

So, like I don’t think the Barber is set to spawn since it’s fairly new. You could add it in the config and lose the scrap or not have the barber and have the scrap. Trade off

I think it was when LLL added scrap cfgs, the way the scrap is registered ia incorrect so they hardly ever spawn

Its prob since the scrap was before LLL handled them, apparenlty its fixed in the indev version
@granite lily sorry for that @ just a lil idea, once you release the update that fixes the scrap spawns having the scrap as part of a their own mod would be nice for the people not looking for new moons

My (personal) favorites are Old Red, Polarus, and Asteroid 13. I think Atlantica is the weakest but I do like its inside gimmick

Imperium from my experience can cause major lag spikes unfortunately so keep that in mind too
Cosmocos is cool but had a lot of desync issues and we like to inverse in which makes the darkness a nightmare
It absolutely does, its why whenever my FPS shits the bed or I crash I check console to make sure its Imperium first
It throws a lot of errors related to Ui whenever that happens I notice
Hopefully it will get fixed soon cause it's a really good mod for testing!

Hey Wesley while playing your moons I noticed you also changed the facility interior effects on some moons or most of them. So if I would let LLL spawn another interior on your moons it wouldn't cause any problems because those "effects" are mostly happening in the vanilla facility, right?
Or how does it work? Just out of interest so nothing gets scuffed haha
well i let grand armory on spawn on atlantica and that works just fine. i'll try out the desolation effects on grand armory today

Alright yeah I think those map effects are just combined with facility as a feature. So i think force spawning pool rooms as example, those effects won't be loaded and break the interior i think. But thats why I just want to be sure it works like that :)

Well just tested Scoopy and got the Castle Interior everythings seems to work fine I also waited if enemeys will spawn and the first one I encountered was jester.... so I think it is playable but don't know if 100% works with other content like scrap or custom enemys

So, i'm really confused what you're doing when you do this. This is a moon from a mod that isnt Wesley's, but its got a wesley-style icon. Did you make the icon? are you just shouting out cool moon mods you find and part of that shouting-out process also involves making a wesley style icon?

wes originally made the style of icons (still does, too). i and many others liked the style. i started doing icons for other moons as a little side hobby (thanks to a template provided by wes). i also add a bit of my touch into them. i post em here because wes was the originator of the style. this also advertises other moons, but it's not a contest, really. wes is also fine with me doing this. after all, it keeps the thread active
Oh i wasnt like, asking about the, like...legality or whatever, of it, I'm asking because there's very little way for mods to be "advertised" in the LL modding community and I wanted to be sure I understood what you were doing and not just making random icons for non-existant moons, because I think the more exposure good mods get the better.
Like all we have really in terms of finding new mods is staring eyes peeled at the #1169056298856362105 channel and that doesnt even do anything to vet good or bad mods

hmm i'm testing grand armory with dungenplus' debug thingy and most of the time it seems to generate with 20-ish retries, only seen it generate with no retries in like 2/10 times

I set up my lethal to have the moons set up based on difficulty with early, mid late game moons etc
but right now experimentation and assurance are D rank moons and vow is a C rank moon
i need one more D rank more and two C rank moons to complete the set as I want 3 of each
(btw its ok if the moon isnt really D or C rank cuz I can change it with lethal quantities)
basically I just want moons that arent focused on being difficult and that would match the style of early game moons

verdance, serenity, and vacuity are all pretty good for early game (from their namesake mods)
theyre pretty small and don't have a ton going on
can also corroborate the above rec, specifically attenuation from distinct moon variety is good for early game imo

i do rly like altmoons but they do have a bit more complexity than like, vow does
I do love the layouts of attenuance, dirge and phaedra a ton
attenuance is from DMV, and the others are from altMoons
altMoons also has Biodiversity compat which is fun, we're adding Ogopogo there in the defaults next update

i think the vanilla interiors are traditionally weighted the highest at 300, but interiors that are custom made for specific moons will be 300 or higher for said moon. I could be wrong

We had 4 brackens on gloom outside, always 2 together and barely any way to avoid them on the small path between the bushes. A little bit too op for our taste :/

That seems like a lot and don’t feel like that should’ve happened, but yeah, LQ works. I think you can also adjust weights through the LethalLevelLoader config. I don’t think you can adjust total enemy count and the spawn curve of them, just the probability of different ones which still might be good enough for you.

I mean, it’s options are kind of like in LLL. That’s the mod that actually handles loading the level. I don’t think most moons have their own config.
Does Lethal Quantities actualy work? I've tried it like 2 weeks ago but the only thing that was changing was the loot amount and value, I was trying to change the spawn curve for experimentation back then
I guess I don’t know spawn curve. I used it to mess with an interior weight for debugging (didn’t realize LLL also did that) and it seemed to work.

2 is possible, 4 shouldn't be. 2 is possible because 1 from daytime spawns and 1 from outside/nighttime spawns
gloom spawns 1 bracken on daytime spawn% and 3 on outside spawn%
Try deleting the bracken spawn from the daytime spawns in Lethal Quantities.
Check in outside spawns to make sure amount is capped at whatever amount you prefer. Not sure how it could do 4 unless Wesley has some other trickery going on.
I haven’t fully tested my configs yet but I know for sure the adjusted moon prices work. I didnt touch the spawn curves because it’s too confusing for me lol

It’s pretty much only the office server room
Ladder rooms are SEVERELY needed in interiors. I can’t think of a modded interior with a ladder and there’s no vanilla ladder rooms
Why are ladders cursed to only see sunlight
My interior has a lot of ladder tiles, but they can be tricky
No 2 handed items is the downside
Since you cannot bring two handed scrap up the ladders you need to make sure designate doorways above the ladders as an exit or the doorways at the bottom of the ladder as an entrance
Probably most useful as an alternative to a long stairway tile
Also you cant escape enemies, masked, coil heads and others just zooming up
That way the dungeon will never generate with ladders downwards and only upwards so you can drop scrap down or fall down with the scrap that is two handed
Or maybe if there was an elevator in facility or another apparatus map like the office then the elevator stops working and you have to use ladders
For mine I have no off mesh links in my new update so they serve as a safe place

After reading around a bit, it seems like Enabling Content Config for wesley's moons in LLL causes the wesley exclusive scrap to not spawn #1204432295025578014 message
I kinda need content Config set to true so I can set the moon prices to 5,000, but doing so messes up the scrap spawns. If I flip it to false, the price returns to normal & his exclusive scrap spawns again. Has anyone figured out a workaround to this? And is this a Wesley's Moons issues, or LLL issue?
It’s a Wesley thing (but I think it should be fixed in one of the next updates). There’s a mod called something like Lethal Quantities that does config stuff that might work.

If you're buying the moons, yes lol. I put em to 5k to "lock" them, and clearing quotas randomly unlocks them. They're not meant to be bought in my pack XD. Everything except Experimentation is 5k starting for me.

I've only ever seen that message under 2 situations. WeNeedToGoDeeper which makes fire escapes/main entrance one-way doors. OR you just got unlucky with the way the interior generated and it put the fire escape in a position where entering through it would get you stuck inside of level geometry which is a vanilla behavior.
I don´t have "weneedtogodeeper", so hmm i assume it was just "bad" generated or smth
That message is related to an interior not generating an entrance for that space which would be an interior problem and not a moon one
Most likely. Since that can occur in Vanillia if the interior generates in a way that makes the fire escape inaccessible on the inside.

Just following up with a bit of info if it hasn't been mentioned on it. Oldred seems to work and have its exclusive scrap despite ContentConfig being set to true. So it doesn't seem to be all of the moons that have the issue, just some.
