#overhaul of the games style and more difficult enemies

for those who want a new experience or want harder enemies the further you get into the game? this mod would be the sorta mod for you!

the lethal company style is pretty good on its own but some may want changes to make it a more grounded experience, this mod would be centered around giving the whole game a new feel with changing out all the monsters out with new models/designs with new animations and maybe giving other things in the game a touch up as well.

that's not all though! this would also include new monsters with quite a few of them being harder variations of existing monsters that would spawn more frequently the further you get into the game! an example of these sorta variations is a mine bug: mine bug being a harder version of the mine, a living machine that would pop up if the player gets too close and will chase the player until the mine goes off, the only way to fight back at it is for someone on the ship to deactivate it intime or for you to be as far away from it as possible.

other things do include adding new tools and more...

I am aware that this would be a massive project but the main bulk which is the enemy characters are already modeled.

we also already have modder helping out with the model replacements and such we just need someone to help out with modding in new monsters/tools and such

Either or if we can find models that can mod new stuff into the game like “monsters, environments, tools and scrap or just be able to mod anything new into the game that be a great help! Cuz out of everything that is probably one of the more challenging parts

I'm gonna be honest. I don't really like these designs. They don't really feel all to faithful and some of them try too hard to be "Scary" and put too many familiar elements into itself.

Especially the forest keeper and the Jester.

And the ghost girl is just another generic "Horror movie poltergiest" with hollowed out eyes to look "scarrier"

Idk after I made the original model I looked at the bestiary I saw the name and looked it up and saw that it was apart of the alagator family so I heavily altered its design, I know it’s ment to be a herbivore and it still is, some do have sharp teeth, depends on the plants they eat

I’m not expecting everyone to be pleased with the designs

But I am happy with them along with many others so that makes me happy

espically if you want to heavily change their appearance

I do think the spore lizard shouldnt really be scary, it doesn't attack unless it has to and making it look like it wants to kill you doesn't really fit with it being passive

That is a good model don't get me wrong but it doesn't fit for that

If everything is scary then it looses it scaryness imho

Maybe it could be a new creature entirely like on a swampy moon and have that be an outdoor animal

as mentioned I know not everyone is gonna be happy with every change Iv made to every design
tho it could be a variation of the spore lizard!
one thats way more aggressive towards the player

that was the whole idea bheind this
a mod that changes the visuals, and adds new stuff like harder variations to monsters that would spawn the further you are in a game, and tools to fight against them and such
its a large project for sure tho the main part I mainly want to focus on is changing the models before adding new stuff

I love the Jester, it's a really seamless redesign that changes a lot but manages to keep the spirit of the original.

i must say i kinda hate the spore lizard model, this isn't my beloved leech with legs, this is just a messed up alligator

also the baboon hawk model feels like maybe a bit too far from the original design

I ran into a spore lizard today by accident but still got spooked by it, even though it only deals a little bit of damage

Im currently looking for someone to help mod New creatures into the game

most will be existing monsters with a big buff that would only spawn when you further into the game, and some new monsters as well

we do have someone doing that but Id want atleast someone else to help out cuz its gonna be quite a bit and Id hate leaving it on them

an update on the spore lizard
I am going back to the spore lizard since getting some other feedback I think theres a better way of aproaching it

im hoping theres a lite version of this mod that will add the new monsters but not replace the game style of other things (no offense to the replaced models of course, they are incredible. i just like mods that add new things over mods that replace things, totally fine if not. i will use this either way)

Don’t worry that will be the plan to turn off the newer models if people prefer to just have the new additions

Tho I won’t promise it since it may be too hard to implement in as a setting in game, if so it won’t be hard to do as a file thing having the replacements and a different file to the new additions
