I'm a student too, depending how old you are it's easy to work on the side. Even 1 day in the week should get you far. (if you're living on your own then yes it can be difficult with money) You saved up for a 700$ somehow, either working or a gift. Both is completely fine. Pirating is your choice, but if you enjoy a game why not purchase it? Especially multiplayer games, since its 80-90% of the gameplay. Its not a AAA game of 100$. You buy a game because you like it.

7 days a week is overkill for school, wow. Maybe you can try to get your parents to reward you for getting good grades?

Tell them you're working 47hours a week and you want to work, but are afraid of it impacting your preformance at school. (i've had friends that had this work for them)

I've hussled myself also for money, i've done very long weeks doing multiple jobs during vacations (8-10 hours a day every day for 6 weeks). It definitly is possible to get money as student.

Minimum wage is around 700-1000 usd, idk right now. It's not Cambodia, but we're living in very shitty times with insane inflation atm

And we pay full steam prices too, but in euro, so on average it's about 1 euro more expensive per game

Yeah, i get what you're saying. For me personally the only things my parents provide is food and shelter all other things i pay for myself. Yes my income might be higher, however lifestyle here is too. It just sucks that both your countries don't have reduced steamprices considering the massive inflation. For me 1 beer at the bar is 7 euro💀minimum wage is around 12 euro. I definitely see money different and i totally get why you would pirate in your scenario. However I see online games like this one, as a way of enjoying time with friends. It's the same as going to partys or talking with friends. And 10 euros for me is worth the amount of time I've enjoyed or will enjoy in a game like this.
