lol. I was testing CabIn earlier today and there was one instance where a hallway was dark, but if you stepped into a side room the hallway suddenly lit up. Idk why exactly, but my guess is since there’s no back to the walls light was coming in from a room on the other side that got culled. Was very jarring to walk in and out of that one door and have the lighting change completely

I also got scared for a bit because after making a git commit for V80 (which took a while too), it finishes so I pushed it and after waiting a while for that to go through, I noticed the commit button was still acting like it was committing (since I just use GitHub Desktop and not the commands).
This confused me. How could it be committing the changes it already said were done and that it let me push? So I checked the history and that commit showed “no files changed”. Thought it must be a visual bug so I closed and reopened the app. Now the commit button was back to normal and wasn’t showing any changes, but history still said no changes were in the v80 commit.
Was my repo in limbo? I checked on GitHub itself and it looked like it was there (though the diffs were too big to actually show all the changed files). Went back to the local one and now it does show in history all the changes in the V80 commit instead of saying “no files changed” so I think it was just taking a bit to load.
I think it’s all good. I hope.

I cannot stress this enough, what happened was unfortunate and absolutely sucks, but it is really fucking funny that it turned into a DOOR in editor.
Will be back when I can get DunGen to behave. Sorry :(
Drains:
Added a new variant to the transitional tile
Remade the catwalk junction tile
Made the thin catwalk tile not attach to doors that are not there
Added 2 new tiles, the floor pipe storage room, and the narrow hallway
Tower:
I don't know if it was this update or last, but elevator doors no longer exist forever

And the few times I did play I got lucky enough to get the manual fire exits

i never really enjoyed lim facility (sorry gen!) but then again i never really enjoyed any backrooms interior..

Not only did the door script update but also now I made a failsafe so it shouldn’t generate with no floors if the door script errors again
All I did was just add a quad to the floor if it doesn’t connect downwards
Apparently occasional storehouse fire exit will just kill you

not sure if this is a solution available to you or not, but the vanilla culling does have a value for the tile distance to cull after per interior
@vagrant dove not sure if you're shipping to disable culling already but I would recommend holding off on that if not
theoretically the culling distance could be set to some very large value to effectively disable it

renderers that are inactive at spawn will be ignored, so that's a more granular alternative
and regarding tagging tiles, it would make more sense from the perspective of proper occlusion culling to specify whether a tile is transparent
not that that's terribly important, transparent tiles are really hard to do

it's really something that would affect the entire interior though, so it makes more sense to tag the interior as visible from the outside and then tag individual tiles to be transparent
