like objectively i think the laser drill thingy you have is a bit too oppressive since if it spawns in a big room you are just kinda forced to crouch frequently anytime you are in there, and they tend to bunch up really easily which makes it even tougher

personally id prefer if they had a charge up system where they would start turned off but after a loud noise and visual effect would begin to glow before firing out a beam and doing a 360 and then going on cooldown

I think I finally solved a huge issue in my progression
I still have a lot of quirks I need to iron out but in its current state it somewhat makes sense and I’ll take that over the nonsense it was before
Some of the storylines are really disconnected, not even interacting with each other at all, and that makes it really difficult to put things together
Especially since one of them is decently hidden
I think tomorrow when I get off of work, I’ll set up the dummy items just so that the lines are actually playable
I’ve had them set up in an image for so long
Which means if somebody just for some reason doesn’t give a fuck about progression but doesn’t want to turn it off, I have an image for them.
But I have tried to limit dead ends
There are a couple, I have set up “checkpoint” moons further along a few paths that are basically just adamances
Where they are free and give out more scrap but are substantially more dangerous
All checkpoint moons are dead ends
I don’t know how I’d make this obvious to the player, I think Wesley does something with sticky notes on the machines, but at the current moment, if you unlock a moon in the middle of a path and it’s free and there’s no alternative, it’s a dead end
Or if it’s corrosion I’m just saying it right now that one is a dead end

I think that’s all I did? All I could tell from splitting the mesh was the straps over the top get lost which was unfortunate but I didn’t care too much

I settled on an elaborate alternative idea a while back but recently came to scrap it because it didn’t really make sense and was really awkward
