The nutcracker shotgun rapid fire was changed a few updates ago.
But if you give a hoarding bug the shotgun, it's still possible, which Tbh I find far more hilarious and at least requires more planning to execute.

but paths that may be inconvenient and redundant could become the only way
like a raised ship spot and facility entrance, with the easiest pathway in a valley

i like this mod but i noticed some issues specifically on the vertigo map
eyeless dogs and baboon hawks can just patrol the pipes and make it nearly impossible to get back to the ship
its happened multiple times, and although its funny, it makes vertigo significantly harder despite only being an A hazard map
also i suggest adding some more foilage (bushes, trees) to some of the maps (including the randomly spawning rocks)
- maps look super empty right now. i like the terrain but its just in general very empty, especially the marsh one
also suggest making the ladders and catwalks match the games original style (this is more of a personal nitpick tho)

There's a second path (on the right, facing as if you came OUT of the main entrance) that I've never seen much enemy traffic on
ah you did mention that one, yeah I don't think I've seen enemies on it really. Haven't played a ton of vertigo though so I guess I don't know for sure, but I definitely use that path when dragging back stuff like 100lb spider carcasses

If there's a design error and enemies use it then sure, but if it's working as intended I say leave it
all random lobbies I've made so far seem to tunnel the jump and main paths, and don't seem to have any idea of the extra path so I guess you could consider some sort of marker to lead them to find it? Dunno though, right now it seems fine in terms of vanilla trends, because Rend gives you nothing to find out the mountain pass shortcut and just rewards environment exploration

MysticalChicken said it well. They're one of the few maps that make me actually enjoy Giants, its pretty cool as well, feels balanced but difficult, and has almost no turrets/landmines which I personally prefer maps that don't have them
Vortex is also good, I had initially planned to customize it into a $2000 moon alongside Ooblterra but it's just rather laggy atm

ok completely honest here - AdvancedCompany is made by an extremely professional dude, and from what I've been told, the mod itself uses some extremely soft touching on the actual code, and (mostly) causes no issues whatsoever, whether it be with other mods or not.
So far the only mods it really bugs out with (and only slightly) are HotbarCore and MoreEmotes, simply because 1. HotbarCore has content that directly interferes/steps on toes of some of AC's content, and 2. MoreEmotes overwrites some massive bits of code

A loads first so it always works but if A loads then B doesn't and C, you get the idea. AssetBundle couldn't be loaded because same name is already loaded, is that easily adjustable?
Is it like a model id that they all share so it errors?
If I had to guess: That sounds like a similar situation with cosmetics where if people don't replace the default name, they'll conflict
GMod had a similar issue back when I made the Nextbots
People would copypaste the code without altering it and so they'd be incompatible
yeah for sure, i really love maps that actually give you a reason to travel to most of the different areas. Hydros fire exits are cool and the part in the middle is nice because hiding from giants
It's not easily adjustable if you don't have the code, but if you have the code, it'd likely be as simple as changing the right value in the code and/or Unity

Atlantica seems neat but screenshots don't have me sold on it feeling vanilla enough compared to the others

on the other hand it has the super unique trait of ||the interior having water at floor level||
and also does what Ive hoped maps do for a long time, make paths specifically designed to be flooded over so if you're there when the water gets too high you have to route completely differently
Asteroid-13 and Gratar seem like guaranteeds, it's mainly between Atlantica or Polarus for me rn
But Polarus feels odd cuz, another Dine/Rend level ice map? REALLY? Why couldn't it be an easier map?

Callisto is on the surface of an ocean
which i feel like is an underutilized style
Outpost 31 is the only other icy cheap moon (free I think) that I've seen aside from Icebound, and its a pretty different style
so I got sidetracked in ms paint
Celestria is also a red rock style map which is distinct from any vanilla environments while also feeling vanilla
I think I'll do Callisto, out of the three it looks the most promising to me personally
