So I know this might annoy you, but I'm coming from ReservedSlots and just wanted to try AC since it allows me to reduce the mod list in my pack by a couple of mods and seems to be working pretty nicely.
It's just that me and my mates are used to an extra slot for flashlight and walkie talkies, as a QOL thing. Expanding the inventory with 2 extra slots is an option but feels too cheaty as it would give room for more scrap too.
Is there any way that an extra slot for those 2 things is coming in the future or nah?

The behavior is also quite unique too. It's like it's an "ability" innate to your character instead of traditional equipment.
If you die, it's gone, with save data separated from the main savefile.

Oh I get it now, AdvancedCompany Night Vis is "vision enhancer" now while another "Night Vision" is a mod from Lategame.
The former works like a typical item, while Night Vision from lategame has "ability"-like behavior
i think i found a bug but i dont know how to fix it. When sprinting the stamina bar is instantly consumed thus not allowing sprinting at all, i tried removing AC and it fixes the issue but i want to use AC, how do i fix this?
Check your perk config. Base value must've got screwed.

when advancedcompany and the GamblingMachineAtTheCompany mod are installed together the gambling mod makes it so the shop doesnt work
So I installed a bunch of cosmetic packs. Apparently creators of those do a terrible job at describing what cosmetics are actually included. Now I have a bunch of weird cosmetics and don't know which pack they come from. Any way to see what pack cosmetics are from? They seem kinda randomly sorted in AC UI. Can I view .cosmetics files? If anyone has recommendations for cosmetics that fall in one line with the Morecompany defaults ones I'd also be happy about that.

we tried it, had someone join after landing in a moon, they went to spectator mode properly, but after we orbitted they had black screen and said
we expected it would make them join as players after leaving moon

Heads Up Jump Endurance is broken, you have to set it to a negative number to subtract the cost of jumping else the perk makes it cost more when jumping
There still seems to be an issue with lobby presets. Perk base values that I change revert back to default when lobby settings are opened. Switching between presets without leaving the menu keeps the values as it should. Change and level column are fine too.
Please try to reproduce: Host, select save, go to perks tab, change a perk base value (I noticed with inventory slots to 200%), save as new preset, give a name, cancel out of lobby settings menu, host, select save, switch to your new preset, observe perk base value.

but now the equipment slots are on the side, and they're marked as equipment slots when they're actually the reserved slots from reserved items.

so they are part of progression instead of free slots designated to equipment

well you can just give yourself 2 more slots with advcompany
cause even the max hotbar is truncated cause of the equipment slots that aren't actually gonna get used all that much
since you're only allowed to do up to 6 inventory or so cause the last 3 are eaten by gear.

the hotbar converges at the center
so like you only see one singular slot visually speaking
AC dev just wants to focus more on his mod working and expanding it
at least, that's how it was during the previous beta
RS is no longer supported.
dunno now since ReservedSlots is fully incompatible so I didn't bother testing
I think I would use AC more if you could buy a cheap reserved slot for flash and walkie, as a compromise
you could ask flip bout it, they may try to make it comp
you can add 2 more hand slots to compromise

Hello guys, if someone is a casual like me and canโt play without reservedslots and AC, I sat all day and looked for a solution on how to do this: just roll back reservedslots core to version 1.8.3 in thunderstore and change the keybind for reservedslots or for equip in AC, the main thing is that they do not conflict in terms of keybinds, then everything will work

I like the mods a lot actually. Just not from the balance perspective.
I'll forever miss flash/walkie being visible on you when not held.
Plus, the screenshot was funny. So it was mostly about slots being for boots.
no amount of slots can stop you being one shot by op monsters, so a little quality of life for the gear you almost always should have to open it up for contingencies for "better play" is probably excuseable from a balance point.
For me it takes away some decision making.
Thats why i said that buyable slots for flash/walkie would be the best compromise. Items are nice too but I still wanna use vanilla items
You have buyable slots. You can get 10 of them.
for someone that always struggles with full inventories in games and enjoys having options on my belt to play around, a choice between "required gear" and no loot basically and having empty slots to get loot is too hard.
Just sounds like all you really want is dedicated button for them.

my balance is usually along the lines of: "give the player more slots, given them more gear. make them better. but also make the challenges more challengy also to compensate so they can best utilize the stuff they've been given"

You can have both of those with mods too. Neither will ever be truly balanced and everyone has different vision for balance.

95% Feedback was: Where muh reservedslots and 5% lacked any log files
They'vw found a way to make work both mods, so don't worry about that
actually the newes patch of the reservedslots kinda work with AC

Also, quickly pressing Alt sometimes doesn't bring you back to the slot/item you held before.
People will only be able to see lobbies with your modpack in a specific version AND they will only be able to join those lobbies
And if they are missing it, the game will show it to them :)
help me understand, me stooped. To thunderstore profile means I have the same perks over all of the saves? Is there a way to make the perks per save?
You will always have perks and xp in all your saves. But without Save in Profile you will have them in every profile in Thunderstore

Currenly running into an issue when a friend tries joining. They get stuck on a loading screen and this error pops up.

No, my game crashes, and their game freezes at the loading screen.

I don't recall exiting to the main menu at any point, I just task manager close the program
We just tried again and now my game didn't freeze? But we still get the same errors.
His game still freezes at the loading screen.
It feels like there is something missing from the logs somehow
like the actual error
